This is a tough review because we loved the night nurse we were matched with. Administratively however, over the course of our service we were overcharged thousands and thousands. Even after agreeing on the overcharge, we have not been refunded (over three months later). It's taken me a while to get up the courage to post a review, but I do not want another parent going through what I did. I will start by saying this place is under new management. All the positive reviews are old. I had a horrible and scary experience with a night nanny that came from this agency. Long story short, the woman was lying about when and how much she fed my daughter. She was falling asleep holding her (we have video proof). And she fell asleep while holding a bottle in my newborn's mouth. My daughter began to cough and the woman DID NOTHING. I contacted sweet dreams and they were shocked and said they had never gotten bad feedback on this woman (Deneise). I come to find out later that this woman has been reported to Sweet Dreams, yet they still send her out to families. While Patti A and her mom are nice women, their solution was to "fire the woman" and offer me a gift card to a restaurant or shop of my choice. I'm sorry, but a trip to Nordstrom isn't going to fix what happened. I ended up finding another amazing woman who is an ACTUAL nurse to come help. And she was less expensive. Save the hassle. Ask your friends for a referral for someone. Don't use an agency. read more

So happy we decided to hire a night nanny, but also to go through Sweet Dreams. A friend recommended Sweet Dreams after she used them after coming home from the hospital. It was nice to work with Patti to get qualified and vetted nannies to interview and reach out to references versus trying to navigate this new territory ourselves. We are in Chicago and had Diane O. for 3 nights a week for 6 weeks, and wish we had set up our initial contract for longer. Diane was wonderful with our baby, and provided a ton of tips and insight to us as new parents. REGARDLESS IF YOU ARE FIRST TIME OR REPEAT PARENTS, SWEET DREAMS INFANT CARE WILL LOVE YOUR FAMILY AS THEIR OWN. Here's why I say that... I have an incredible story, of which Pam & Pat were a critical part of my happy ending. The care that I received from Pam & Pat, as well as a rotating shift of night nannies who rallied to support my family unexpectedly 7 nights a week for 8-10 weeks, was unbelievable - excellent, outstanding, there really aren't words for it. I want to thank Pam & Pat, as well as the night nannies Emma, Monica, Erica, Deneise, Elvia for their care and love for my family (and if I missed anyone, you too!) Here's the story: A few days after a fast and effortless birth, I got sick, developed maternal sepsis and went into septic shock (~50% mortality rate), had an emergency hysterectomy, was on a ventilator for 3 or 4 days, released from the hospital a week later, and readmitted to the hospital a week after that for one night with preeclampsia. Any one of those could have killed me. I was not able to walk without a walker nor could I even sit on the floor with my 2.5 year old son, let alone take care of a newborn. Before the birth, I had contracted with Emma via Sweet Dreams Infant Care for 3 nights a week for about 6 weeks. When I went into emergency surgery, my husband contacted Pam & Pat with the situation, and they moved mountains to get my baby last minute care, 7 nights a week. My husband was with me most of the time at the hospital, and my parents are 73 (not quite enough energy to get up every 2 hours with a newborn.) Without Pam & Pat, my family would have fallen apart. Here is what is special about Sweet Dreams Infant Care: 1. They care. They genuinely care about your health and well being, and the health and well being of your newborn. Because of that, they focus on extremely high quality night nannies. 2. Very responsive and accommodating. I had contacted a different company originally that had more reviews and found their service to be non-responsive and difficult to work with. By contrast, Pam & Pat linked me up with Emma in no time flat for the 3 days a week, and very last minute. I shutter to think what would have happened if I worked with the first company I contacted. 3. Empathetic and incredibly knowledgeable. Pam was a nurse for 25 years, and in labor & delivery for 10 of those years. She really knows what she's talking about, and she makes sure her night nannies do too (including written tests, etc.) 4. High quality night nannies. Even though I was getting whomever they could spare, the quality was extremely high. They each were skilled and trained on sleep, normal newborn behaviors, prompt, helpful, empathetic, kind, and loving toward my son. 5. Vaccines. Like I said, they care about you and your newborn. They require their night nannies to be up to date on their vaccines, so you don't have to worry about your newborn being exposed to something like measles or pertussis at such a vulnerable stage of life. Not all services require their nannies to have vaccines. And that's it. You can be confident that you and your newborn will be incredibly well cared for if you have a night nanny from Sweet Dreams Infant Care. read more

Pam Jones and her whole crew at Sweet Dreams are AMAZING. In advance of the birth of our first child, my husband and I had decided to use a night nurse/night nanny. We interviewed and hired someone who came highly recommend from a friend of ours, but who was not with an agency. Two weeks after starting with us, she accepted a full-time day job, and stopped with us the next day. She referred us to an agency (not Sweet Dreams), which didn't work out at all (nurses who were inattentive and literally fell asleep on the job, leaving our daughter crying in her room with the lights on and door open). Finally, at the recommendation of some friends who had used Sweet Dreams, we called and have never looked back. Pam talked with me at length to understand our needs and situation, and spoke with her crew to see who had availability. She helped set up phone interviews (in person were an option, too), and we hired Margarita immediately. Margarita is prompt, often arriving 10-15 minutes before her start time. She is kind and caring, attentive to our daughter's needs, and supportive of our parenting and breastfeeding efforts. When we mention problems or concerns with our daughter, she offers thoughts and advice, or, if she's not sure, she researches the issue and reports back to us. With her help, our daughter started sleeping through the night at 11 1/2 weeks old, and hasn't stopped. We are thrilled! Administratively, Pam takes care of everything behind the scenes. She runs background checks, arranges payment (hurray for automatic account withdrawals!), and checks in with emails to be sure everything is going well. The best, most professional, trustworthy and kindest baby help I got! I am a nurse myself and have very high standards, Pam Jones exceeded them all! My baby hit the 4 month sleep regression hard and by 6 months we were beyond miserable and ready to sleep train. Pam Jones came to the rescue and did the work for us at our home while we rested and didn't worry about a thing. It was amazing to get a few nights "off the clock" and get a perfectly sleep trained baby. He is now 9 months old and consistently sleeps 11-12 hours per night. I have been working with Pam for the last 8 months now with my 2.5 year old son. He has been a terrible sleeper since the day we came home from the hospital. I have to say that there are few experiences that make me want to run out and write a review of a business. Pam at Sweet Dreams is phenomenal! She simply changed our lives. Our son was 10 months old and we were at our wits end when we started working with her at the recommendation of our Pediatrician who could see how sleep deprived we were. Our son was a very poor sleeper from the start. He was sleeping 20 minutes at a time during the day and up every 1-2 hours at night. It took us a week with Pam and this little guy slept 12 hours a night after the first week. The daytime naps took longer but Pam stuck with us and encouraged us the entire time and now our little guy is taking 2 full naps during the day, self soothing etc and asking to take a nap when it is time ( in his way).Pam is responsive, patient, non judgmental and most importantly encouraging. She gives you the tools to succeed and is always a phone call or text away should you run into a situation where you have doubts. I still call on her from time to time for advice and she is always willing to help. I highly recommend Pam. We also used a night nurse for a few nights from Pam's agency who was great as well. There are no words to describe the peace of mind that Pam Jones and Sweet Dreams provided for our family. Pam spent the first two and a half weeks with us and our newborn baby boy. She became like an instant member of our family. I had a rough labor and delivery, as well as a bunch of issues around nursing. And Pam was so helpful in helping me to process it all. She is a master of her trade!! She was also extremely nurturing. She would keep me company in the middle of the night, each time I nursed. And then she would take the baby from me and send me back to sleep. What a relief!! My husband was reluctant to shell out the dough for something that he thought we could "figure out for ourselves." I laugh now because he tells all new parents that hiring Sweet Dreams was one of the best investments we've ever made. I have also referred Sweet Dreams since then to every new parent I know. And we will most definitely be hiring Sweet Dreams again for baby #2. Bringing home a new baby is so exciting, but it is a very vulnerable time. Having a voice of reassurance to teach and guide new parents is invaluable. It was a huge confidence builder for me. Plus, actually being able to get SOME sleep can make all the difference in the world (especially if you are a nursing Mama). Finally, I still often talk and text with Pam when I have questions. After two nights in the hospital, Lisa came for our first two nights at home with our new baby. After that, we tapered off to every other night. Lisa was knowledgeable, supportive, helpful, and warm. From the second I spoke with Diane on the phone I knew she was a great fit. I am a first time mom that thought every child woke up multiple times a night. I thought the sleep deprivation was part of the territory even at six months old. When I was up one of the nights with my crying infant, I searched and found Sweet Dreams Infant Care. I called the next day from work and asked about setting up the in home services. Pam and Pat were so nice and got me the information immediately. Pam came to my home and watched my routine. She pointed out on the phone consult that I need to be feeding him more and set a schedule. The first night it took him 50 minutes to fall asleep, the second night took 25. The third took 10. Now he associates his night routine with time for bed. He does not fight or wake during the night, he sleeps 12 hours and I feel like a human again.
