    Birthday Cake
    Di K.

There is a lot of little bakery's around my house, however this one is a winner for me. They always have a great selection of freshly made desserts, cakes and breads. Lately I notice they also adding a small hot buffet type of prepared Polish foods. On Fridays they have some deli meats as well. Sometimes You have to be there pretty early to try it, otherwise it's all gone. The service is always really nice and helpful. This year for my husbands birthday I ordered Birthday cake from them and I have to say it was delicious. It was white and chocolate cake with strawberries and berries smattered with whipped-cream. Chocolate wafers were wrapped all around the cake and on the top was chocolate and fresh strawberries and raspberries. The cake was super moist and you could taste all the different flavors that were inside the cake. All together Very good.

Bad meat inside good meat outside

I always liked fresh Tatar. This was my last purchase from this Store and I want everyone to know the meat was only fresh on the outside but once cut in half I noticed the meat inside was smelly and brown. They literally wrapped bad meat with fresh and pink on the outside to make it look good!! if you buying Tatar wchich is fresh ground filet make sure to look inside!!

The new location is in a brand-new building, and their coffee selection has expanded as well. Their butter cookies are the best I've ever had, and it's difficult to leave without a box. Sometimes I even buy two boxes--one to eat on the way home and another to share with my wife when I get there. They have delicious, fresh donuts every day, and I especially love the donut holes they sell on Fridays. I also love that they carry Ideal Bakery's kolaczki and some of their other products. They offer fresh bread that they can slice for you when you order, or you can take it home unsliced. The staff is extremely friendly and patient while taking your order, and they never make you feel rushed, even when there's a line of customers. I ordered a cake and a dessert table from them for a party, and they did an amazing job. Salma was incredibly helpful throughout the process, offering recommendations and assisting us with our order. She took the time to answer all of our questions and made the entire experience stress-free. Keep up the great work, Jarosch Bakery!

The employee, Tim, told me they had 6 vanilla and 6 chocolate vegan cupcakes available. I requested 4 chocolate cupcakes, and he said I would need to prepay and that they would be ready in 15 minutes. I was surprised they could be prepared that quickly, but went along with it. We picked them up about 30 minutes later and brought them home. That evening, my son tried one and it was extremely hard, with grainy frosting. Overall, the cupcake tasted terrible. We didn't eat the remaining three and left them in the box. The next day, I returned to the shop to share my concerns and was told Tim would call me back. He did call and said they had tried a cupcake and felt it tasted fine. He also told me that I may not know what vegan cupcakes taste like. I didn't argue, but I've had plenty of vegan desserts before, and they've never been this inedible. He then explained that the batter used was leftover from a cake made a week earlier and that it's common practice for them to freeze batter and make cupcakes later. I was surprised to hear this. More disappointing was that there was no attempt to make things right or offer any solution--only to explain why they wouldn't provide a refund. I told him that was fine, but that I wouldn't be returning or recommending their shop and would be sharing my experience. If you're looking for vegan options or any dessert options and decent customer service, there are plenty of other places in the area. I'd recommend looking elsewhere.

Located in a strip mall, there is ample free parking. Staff is unassuming, professional and helpful, willing to help with any menu questions. We came for lunch to celebrate a birthday and it was an excellent choice. The menu has a lot of clean eating options, including vegetarian and keto. We opted to share a lamb pizza, a tomato and cucumber salad and a meat tray. All were excellent, plenty of food. The pita was excellent. The tea at the end was lovely. Prices reasonable, good food good portions. Absolutely worth checking out and adding into the rotation of where to go.

Upon my first visit on a Thursday for lunch, the waitress Nur provided excellent service to our table. She was patient, pleasant, and provided answers to our many questions. Just loved her service with a smile and uplifting energy. My friends and I ate hard and everyone enjoyed their food. I tried the lentil soup which was wonderful and I had the mushroom guvec with rice on the side that was delicious. We were served tea as an after dinner refresher which was nice. We noticed the bakery on the way out and they had so many treats ready to be ordered and taken home. The second visit was terrible. I came for lunch on a Tuesday and it wasn't busy. The lahmacon is offered as a lunch special and I asked if I could have the cheesemacon for the special. It's the same version with just cheese and no meat. My waiter Jamal straight told me no. I found that very odd so I inquired further because they are the same price on the menu and it's without meat. The answer still didn't change. I simply had a few more questions about other menu items and Jamal seemed agitated by then. He was not even trying to be nice. I ordered two entrees. I paid full price for the cheesemacon and had a pide with kashkaval cheese. Jamal brought my food and NEVER came back to my table. I watched him provide service to all the other tables during that time. I was fine and didn't need anything, but I didn't deserve to be treated that way for being pleasantly inquisitive. I really felt bothered by this because out of all my years of eating out, I never felt that a server treat me poorly personally for being myself. I've had bad service before just because the service is bad overall and that is different. I like the food so I reluctantly returned for a third time and had breakfast. Service was standard and the food was good. My mushroom omelette was fine. The traditional french toast was solid. This review should be one star but it is four without Jamal.

This next location is a hidden gem in Itasca…read more This small confectionery wonder is located near the front entrance of Fox and Turtle in the Itasca country club. The name is Undici Gelato in Itasca. The owner, whose name is Antonella, spent years with top chefs to create the most perfect Gelato. The flavors change by the week and are all made with fresh fruits and creams. Nothing is artificial. I had been here many months ago as a suggestion from a friend to try their out of this world Gelato. I again was contacted by a subscriber who told me that I needed to try their new shakes made with fresh gelato. They said it will blow my mind with how good it is. I arrived at around 4 o'clock on a Friday. I sat at the bar area of Undici. I spoke with Antonella for quite some time. She is such a wonderful and friendly owner. I could not wait to try this shake that she had in store for me. I opted to get my shake as a malt. The shake consisted of fresh strawberry gelato. When I tell you, I took my first sip and it took everything in me not to chug the entire shake right then and there. You could taste the fresh strawberries. You could also taste the high-quality cream. It was like drinking pure silk. It was so creamy and smooth, one if not the best shake I've ever had in my life. I had to get one to bring home to my wife so she could also try this confectionery masterpiece. The price of this super high-quality shake was only six dollars. It blew my mind. There is another shake and location literally a block away from here that I did a review on. They were charging $14 for a shake that could not hold a candle to the flavour and quality of this shake. As I sat and talked with Antonella, enjoying my shake, she also told me she had another drink that she was introducing to the menu. It was what she called an Italian spritzer that she wanted me to try. The drink before I tasted it looked so beautiful and refreshing. I took my first sip and it took me back to when I was in Italy. The flavours were a subtle orange with hints of citrus. It was a wonderful and refreshing drink to have on a summer day. I cannot stress enough that all of you need to go here for the best in Gelato. The quality and flavor is like nothing you've ever had. Follow her on Facebook where she updates her flavors weekly. Undici is open at 4 o'clock on Fridays to close. It is also open on the weekends. Check hours before showing up. I never recommend a place without my stamp of approval. Check Undici Gelato out and you can thank me later. I rate Undici in Itasca a 9.3 out of 10.
