This place is right next to my State Farm office. Been wanting to try it for a long time. My friend visiting from AZ suggested it. Ambience was good. We tried the jelly and Nutella crepes. Delicious but I thought they could have been more substantial. Both gelato flavors were delicious. Had a nice cozy atmosphere and all the tables were full. I think this cafe is worth a visit. Good food, good service, I don't think you'll be disappointed!

Service was great, food was great, and drinks were also great! Although the cafe is small, it adds to the cozy atmosphere. The young man at the counter was very kind and gave me lots of recommendations. Great place to grab brunch with a buddy or two!

Just had an iced cafe latte w vanilla and pistachio. This is exactly what you're looking for when Italian cuisine is your love language. An absolute gem, next stop my eyes are on that biscoff gelato.

Came in on a Sunday morning for something quick. Cut and cozy atmosphere on the inside. Heard good things so I wanted to see what it was all about. Had good variety of gelato, I got to try the Biscoff one and wow I'll be back for that. Lady at the counter was friendly and helped me out when ordering. Nutella Crepe with Bananas- 10/10 freshly made, good amount of nutella and bananas. Topped with some powdered sugar. Sweet cheese with strawberry- 8/10 little more on the bitter sweet side. Fresh strawberries though and freshly made. Will be back for some coffee, I was eyeballing the afogado

A great coffee shop with delicious pastries and other breakfast options. The service was A+ and the short latte was one of the best I've had in the area. The seating area is warm and comfortable. It's definitely worth your time and money to come to this place for a cup of tea and a bite to eat.

Cozy and clean cute little café! Italian/greek style coffees and gelato. I ordered a latte with strawberry banana crepes, delish!

Loved the owner's friendliness and the homey feel of this little coffee shop. Probably 5 tables inside with a few more outside - definitely seems like the kind of place where you're remembered, along with your favorite coffee order First time visiting here so we tried a few different things - Biscotti crepes were amazing - definitely recommend getting the bananas on top. You can choose your crepe flavor along with the fruit topping, and if you're feeling it, you can also get a scoop of our favotite Gelato on top of your crepes! There were a handful of pastries to choose from and cheesecake slices in a fridge to grab and go. Had 8-10 flavors of Gelato as well. Owner helped me narrow down what to try for coffee. Will definitely be back with the kids to try more crepes (they have Nutella as one of the flavors - my youngest's favorite )

We went to Sweet n Brew Cafe (SBC) Sunday, September 12 for breakfast. They have received a very good reviews and a 4.9 on Google. We ordered Sweet cheese crepes, one with strawberries and one with blueberries and strawberries. Additionally, we ordered a Frappe - blended iced coffee drink. We enjoyed the crepes but were not impressed with the Frappe which we ordered without the gelato. SBC has a nice little patio area to the side with seats appropriately distanced. The entire place is very clean and the staff that we encountered was very nice. If you're looking for a very light breakfast and a coffee this is your spot. If you want something more substantial there are places close by that fit the bill. We rated SBC 3 because we felt it was a bit steep in terms of cost for the amount of food served. As previously noted, we enjoyed the crepes so if you just want a very light breakfast this might be your spot.

So the BF discovered this gem! Been here 3 times including today! Took some of my family and they loved it! My parents enjoyed the savory crepe filled with turkey breast, mozzarella, and mushrooms. My brother, niece, and I had the strawberry Nutella crepes. My other brother enjoyed banana and Nutella while my nephew added an extra topping of bananas accompany strawberry Nutella. Everything fresh and so delicious! Topped it off with a cafe latte with French toast syrup. A quaint cafe with several tables inside to enjoy your meal with AC or sit outside and enjoy the fresh air. Highly recommended! Support a local small business and don't forget a scoop of gelato to end your meal!

Order here. Espresso and crepes. Gonna try croissants

Joanna will fix you a special request just ask, I did. The savory crepe did more than just fill the belly. I devoured it. I asked her to turn the TV off so I could engage with a friend in a semi serious convo and she graciously obliged. I'll be coming back to try more.

Great coffee, that's what should be lifted first. I had an americano and before I could taste it I could smell off the the great subtle notes of a great cup. My wife also loved her dirty chai latte. Good people, cute and good feeling place, great coffee.

The pogacha with beef and the burek were both delicious, rich, and full of flavor. I also tried the pistachio cheesecake, and it was absolutely delicious -- just as good as I remembered. I was a little disappointed with the Dubai chocolate cheesecake this time though. It didn't even look the same as before, and the pistachio paste tasted less natural than I remembered. The service was good, everyone was friendly, and I'll definitely come back again.

But, I am reviewing the Lombard location. The selection was good and fresh, although some of their items are a bit pricey. I ordered cake pops, brownies, and a chocolate chip cookie. The sales person was pleasant and quick. This store is their biggest store, and they feed the Winfield and Schaumburg stores. They make their pastries at this location, so you'll probably get the freshest selection at the Lombard location. I had bought a gift card from Costco for Sweet Reserve. I admit if I hadn't bought it, and received a discount at Costco for it, I probably would not have noticed the store. It's in a small strip mall on Roosevelt road which has hundreds of strip malls off the road. The store itself is clean and well kept. It does have a limited selection of products but they were all pretty good. The brownies are very frudgey, just the way I like them. The cake pops are sweet, but a little dry. The cookie has a lot of chips in them. Overall, I liked the place.

Close at 10pm but if you need longer later hours a 1am tea shop is about a quarter mile down the road with good options also. Parking lot with plenty of parking. My highlight is that they have booths. Plenty of tables and seating. Good menu options for lattes, iced, hot, espresso, etc. Reasonable priced and they have 20oz coffee. The service was nice as the girl was kind but she didn't seem to understand me well and she didn't know if the coffee was Turkish or not. Therefore, I ordered an Americano with their homemade pistachio sauce. It was a nice beverage. I also ordered a Turkish bread with ground beef. It too was delicious, hot and fresh. The ambiance is inviting. The pastries and mini to small cake options were quite beautiful. The nose level was very quiet until little ones came in. Still tolerable but if you are studying and it's busy don't forget your headphones. Lol. I studied for about 3 hours and I would definitely return again.

After an hour we headed back and were told we had just a few more parties ahead of us. Another half hour passed and we checked in again, again being told our table would be ready soon. Another half hour passed, with our wait time now being TWO full hours, when we again checked in and they said we were next in line. After another 15 minutes, we just asked then to be honest since we were dining with 4 (now starving) kids, and they figured something out to be able to seat us (spoiler alert- they sat our party of 7 at a 4 person table). Now on to the positives... service was fantastic, food was fantastic, and the ambiance was lively and very family friendly. The different flavored mimosas were perfect, they had a great kids menu, including Mickey Mouse pancakes, and my whole group left stuffed and happy. Stray Hen would have been such an easy 5 stars had it not been for the more than double wait time with no explanation. Hopefully our next visit is better and I can update accordingly!

I met a friend here a few months ago for the first time and have already been back several times…read morebecause I genuinely love the food and coffee. This cafe does so many things right, starting with the spacious parking lot located in a large strip mall, which makes stopping by very convenient. Inside, the dining room is bright, elegant, and welcoming, and the staff has been consistently friendly and kind. During my first visit, my friend and I ordered for dine-in, and I immediately appreciated the thoughtful details. The ordering counter displays a variety of freshly made pastries and bakery items that are very tempting. My drink was served in a real glass, and my food came out hot on an actual plate with a fork. I love places that make dining in feel intentional and special rather than treating it like takeout. I ordered the spinach Turkish bread ($8.75), and it completely exceeded my expectations. It was generously filled with spinach, cheese, and garlic, and the flavor was outstanding. You could tell it was freshly made and homemade. Just writing this review is making me crave it again. I also ordered an iced caramel macchiato ($6.25), which had a perfect balance of sweetness and bitterness and paired really well with my food. One downside is that the dining room is not very large, so tables are close together. As it got busier during our visit, I became a bit uncomfortable because I could clearly hear the conversation at the table next to us, which meant they could hear ours, as well. It is something to keep in mind if you plan to stay. Because of this, I now usually order my drink to go. Overall, I am extremely impressed with this cafe. It has quickly become one of my favorite spots for both food and coffee, and I will absolutely continue coming back.

We ordered a cappuccino, almond croissant, and cherry danish from a very helpful staff member. The pastries were pretty good, albeit on the heavy side. My danish was packed with cherries but didn't have much of the cream cheese I was hoping would cut the sweetness a bit. The cappuccino was the highlight, smooth and not overly bitter. We were there mid-morning on a Saturday, and two people were working. Our pastries came out pretty quickly, but it took a very long time for my cappuccino due to a large to-go order they were handling. It's understandable, and we weren't in a hurry anyway. I've only been here once and so I don't know if that's typical, but something to be aware of in case you're on a tight timeline. The ambiance was nice, and it would be a pleasant place to hang out and work.

Why does Long Grove always feel like some magical far away place when it's really much closer to me…read morethan most places I go? It's probably because of spots like this. When my yelp friends check-in places I always take a peek and add the interesting stuff to my massive and unorganized list of anything and everything I could ever want to try... this place popped up a few times, and I do love good pastries, so I had to make a trip. I say pastries but what really sold me was the pizza slice a buddy got, a savory excuse always helps. I got there before the dinner rush. I know that because it was calm when I got in line, though the line was full. When I left the place was crowded. There are actually 2 lines. One for savory and one for sweet. So like I said, I was here for that pizza slice... and I got it. I'm not sure if they make more throughout the day but there were just a few slices left that I could see. Score! But I do want to say that the more filling pasta dishes and such look AMAZING. I saw gorgonzola garlic bread and had to try that as well... and an arancini. Everything really looked so good, I wanted it all. It's a good thing I love bread because I ate a lot of it here! Great flavor and texture on the garlic bread, I love the little funk from the cheese. Arancini was fried up nicely and didn't retain excess oil. The slice is really good. It's a fair warning that it's about 90% bread, but I understand they make their own dough here and it shows. The crust is so crispy and airy, it's a nice experience. Next up, dessert. I grabbed a Nutella croissant and some gelato, both delicious! The gelato was rich and creamy. The croissant, which they fill to order with your choice of flavors, is another flex on how good their dough and bread baking skills are. Perfect texture, no notes. Would and will eat again. Amazing atmosphere that feels like a quick vacation, and outdoor tables perfect for the warm season. Friendly and inviting staff as well, they tried to sell me on the pear flavor gelato. Maybe next time. This is a not so hidden gem of a spot and a must try for bread lovers! I'll be back soon for pasta and more!
