My husband & I stopped here for an early lunch on our way through town. From the warmth and attentiveness of the staff to the delicious food, this place is a real treasure. It is also spotless! We arrived a few minutes before opening and even the area outside smelled freshly cleaned. My only regret is that we don't live closer, so we could eat here more often. Bravo, Sweet Havana - you know how to treat customers right!

FACT 1: Toledo needs more Cuban food. FACT 2: Sweet Havana fits the bill. FOOD: The food is pretty good. Is this the best Cuban food I've ever had? Nope. Is this the best Cuban food that I've ever had in Toledo? Probably. I've been here twice. Both times I placed takeout orders. The Ropa Vieja was very good. It was flavorful, spicy enough, and filling. I'd recommend that you top it with a little home made red sauce, and have it served over rice. Excellent dish! I will admit that I was a disappointed by the picadillo. IMO, it needed to be a little sweeter and a little less greasy. It, too, would have been better if served over a bed of rice. The yuca was better than expected, and the plantains were excellent. Also, I didn't see empanadas on the menu. Weird. Service: The service was excellent. On both occasions, I walked in, placed my order, and was on my way in less than 10 minutes. Everyone was friendly, and my order was right. Atmosphere: The owner has put some money and effort into making Sweet Havana comfortable. The TVs showing street action in Cuba are a nice touch. Great music. Soooooo. I plan to come back soon (the menu is full of great sounding items), but I'll probably skip the picadillo. So far, I'm giving Sweet Havana 5 stars, 'cuz it's the best Cuban food in Toledo!

Food was exceptional. Looks were deceiving but well worth it. I'll be back and it's 1.5 hours drive.

Great food, service, and space. Ordered the pork belly with guacamole and tostones, yuca frita, ox tail special with rice and peas and salad, and the shrimp salad. Ended with churros. Food came quick, very fresh, and service was very accommodating. Excited to come back once they have their liquor license to try their drinks!

First visit...met a friend for lunch on a Tuesday at 1pm. Sweet Havana was buzzing! Great vibe, great energy, perfect music, and nice surroundings. Staff was friendly and fun! Admittedly, I have had very little experience with Cuban cuisine, but I thought the the food here was fantastic...flavorful and seasoned perfectly. Will definitely be returning!

I honestly wasn't expecting much, but I ordered the beef empanadas to start. As soon as they came out I could tell they were about to be good. *They were.* They were really good. And the sauce was the best accompaniment. I could tell they were homemade and made to order and after asking the server I was proven right. Very impressive. Now the best part, my pan con bistec. Beef was super tender & tasty. The Cuban bread was buttered and pressed. Overall excellent sandwich. It was like a Cuban grandmas pan con bistec but a little more upscale and w better ingredients. Again very impressed. So we got there and we were the only ones there, it was 4:30 in the afternoon on a Friday so not much really going on, we got seated right away. The server brought us out waters and I ordered a Havana Hurricane, it was okay but did taste a little weak and I ordered the Lobster bisque soup and the Salmon à la Parilla. The Lobster Bisque was delicious but the salmon had NO flavor at all and it came with 2 plantains, spinach and rice. The Plantains had more flavor than the whole dish. The fish tasted like it just came right out of an Aldi's package and put right into the oven, just bland, even the rice and spinach had no flavoring, all you could taste was lemon and fish, lots of lemon. The staff were really nice but the food, I couldn't do it again. Sorry it just wasn't for me and I love fish.

I went with a burger with muenster cheese with an egg on top along with their coleslaw instead of fries. The coleslaw was actually really good! (not all coleslaws created equal. Let me tell you about it!) My food did take a while to come out but it was quite delicious. I forgot they have water jugs at the table and I could've gone without the sprite, but it was a throwback bottle in the glass bottles and I couldn't resist. I know they have the benches to encourage community and getting to know other people outside of your party, but sitting there makes my butt and back sore after a while.
