    Honduran Breakfast Platter
    Katie D.

We were on the hunt for breakfast/brunch this morning and I am so glad we ended up at Antonios. The server was kind and helpful and the food was delicious. I got the horchata and Honduran breakfast platter. It came with beans, avocado, plantains, 2 eggs, a meat of your cheese, cheese, slaw, and 3 corn tortillas. It was filling, yummy, and nice to have a breakfast platter that was a little different from your typical eggs and bacon. If you are in the mood for something a little different, check them out!

I enjoyed a fantastic, authentic meal today! If you're in the area, I highly recommend stopping by Antonio's Coney Island in Ypsilanti, where Irene and her team will treat you to a warm, family-like atmosphere and authentic Central American food.

Homemade Honduran food! Some of the best Latin food in the area. Servers are always prompt and attentive! Cozy booths and cute atmosphere! I have loved everything I've ever ordered here. Super authentic and fresh! Worth a visit if you've never been

Ummm, I love everything about an amazing Honduras spot moonlighting as a Coney Island restaurant. I mean yes, they have the regular stuff but the Honduran food is where it's at!! *Plato Tipico Regular with Chorizo & Egg Scramble (served with beans, HALF AN AVOCADO!!, fried plantains, sour cream and 3 corn tortillas (or toast)) - I love that this translates to a typical platter -- so basically like the grand slam haha. You can get this with bacon, ham or upgrade for chorizo. The beans are bit like black beans meet refried beans. I say that because it's a lighter color like refried beans but not as thick or goopy. They were really nicely seasoned and tasty. It was a pretty big portion! *Breakfast Burrito (Chorizo) - I think I've found the best breakfast burrito that I've had in Michigan to date! It was massive (just how I like it) and stuffed full of eggs and chorizo. There were a few green bell peppers so if you're not a fan - tell 'em to hold it. The spicy salsa that is served on the side is actually spicy. I also love that it comes with a side of hashbrown or home fries. Their version of home fries are EPIC!!! Large rounds, kind of like how you would cut a plantain, and deep fried. As a tater wedge lover, I absolutely loved them! *Pupusas - It has been a minute since I've had a pupusa which are basically like deliciously filled discs - think a completely sealed quesadilla. I ordered the spinach ones as the gal working said these were her favorite & she didn't lead me astray! They also had a loroco filling, which I have never had before or seen anywhere in the states! Loroco is an edible plant native to Central America. I'll definitely have to try it next time! This also came with a really nice slaw.

What a find. Great place for flavorful food must try the fried chicken with plantains.

Really great food at a good price. I was kinda taken aback by the employees not wearing a mask but I got my food to go so it wasn't that big of a deal to me.

Chicken w/ fried green bananas and slaw. In the background. chorizo omelette and hash browns.

Do they really believe that customers don't know they're serving canned soup with a bit of chicken and tortilla pieces on top?! Disgusting.

They consume burgers in an inhale mode, so it was only fitting to watch the action. I had the big cheese squeeze with all the fixings plus wedges, boy 1 had the same less the fixings and fries, boy 2 wasn't feeling it so only had the 1/4 cheese with fixings and the wife the same both with fries. Of course, drinks. My drink selection was the root beer, not exceptional but the usual root beer. Hands down some of the best crispy, juicy, seasoned, well dressed, burgers on a bun that held up to these monsters around Ann Arbor or Ypsi. Fries and wedges work excellently alongside them. The mouth will want more of that taste, but it would be a little hard to get it down on a full stomach. The lady behind the counter was not only serving, cooking sides, handling phone ins, and drive pickups; she also managed a sense of humor and took a minute to make sure you were OK with everything. Make sure to tip like you mean it. Oh, almost forgot to mention the customers, everyone was there to enjoy the dinners atmosphere, good burgers and a little bit of that neighbor being neighbor's thing. Will be going back for sure. Stay safe out there Jack and Lynn
