That said, they've done a great job of making it so this is now the treat that our kids want during the summertime. This place is open from noon until 8 PM Monday through Saturday in the summertime. They operate out of a small boxy stand in the chalet village and they really have the whole shaved ice thing down. Serving up shaved ice in small and large sizes, which are equivalent to huge and really huge. We didn't count the number of flavors, but it's a pretty expensive list. It ranges from the expected to some pretty interesting combinations. One of her little dudes got a combination of tigers blood (strawberry and coconut, I think) and marshmallow. Our other little guy went with the more classic bubblegum flavor... It's still puzzles me about the allure of the flavor of gum. I suppose this is probably something we should celebrate for as long as we can - bubblegum can only hold its mystique do so long! Both enjoyed their choice and by the end had a lovely sugary slurry with enough "energy" to power them for about 2 hours of straight running! Do you remember the Saturday night live where Mike Myers place a kid who is given a Pepsi and a snickers bar, and that is able to tow a car home...that's basically what went down! The best thing about this place, other than the carb loading, is the combination of pleasant folks working here as well as the fact that the small (read huge) is only three dollars. Anymore, it's honestly very difficult to find anything that has such a high joy to cost ratio! If you haven't checked this place out, you should probably do so... The menu is very sweets-centric with a lot of different dessert options including plenty we weren't familiar with but that seemed to be crowd favorites. The Radspado was pretty awesome - basically it's a slightly larger version of a snow cone with a Mexican twist! My leche and fresa Raspado was awesome! Super sweet and super good! The cucumber and strawberry lemonade was quite good as well, as was the strawberry horchata! One spot they were lacking a bit was the selection for lunch, though what they had was good. I had a tamale special - a pork and chicken tamale with a drink for $5, and a buddy had taquitos. Both were fine and went nicely with the dessert options. They also had some ceviche, nachos and different takes on elote. End of the day, you should be coming here for the sweets and when you do, you won't be disappointed. They operate out of this cool little trailer that is parked everywhere from Moxee, to now (The garbage fire summer of 2020) in a church parking lot in West Valley. The folks working here are always super friendly and make the experience very easy. They have a ton of flavors including a lot of combos of things like a Root Beer Float or a Creamsicle. They made a rainbow shaved ice for me which was shared with our four-year-old that was quite delightful. They have small medium and large which range from $3.50 to $8 dollars. You could probably bathe a small dog in the large, so choose wisely! They've also got cotton candy for purchase so if liquid sugar isn't your dig, spun is an option. This is definitely a spot you should check out, especially as the summer gets hotter and the kids get more restless. It's an easy spot to walk to a lot of places nearby and the parking lot is huge so you've got plenty of space to spread out. They've also got a couple of picnic tables nearby and plenty of space to run on the church property... Great for getting out some of the energy that was regained with the addition of shaved ice!
