It's fine! Pretty good soft serve Ice cream that's covered in different ingredients of your choice. The price is sorta wow for what you get but it's cute. The service was fine and the place was clean and cute. Not sure I'd go again, but I enjoyed it.
Got the "Bounty Killah" which is described to be vegan coconut soft service topped with shredded toasted coconut and dark chocolate sauce. I felt that it was quite icy and tasty with a good amount of coconut flavour but for $8 after tax and tips for a small cup, I did not feel it was justified. They had also run out of dark chocolate and didn't tell me until later so I got the caramel sauce instead. My friend got the smores one and it was on the sweeter side. Service was quick!
Walk by after dinner and saw this ice cream place with a long line. After viewing the menu to see what the hype was about and if I could get anything there, I saw they had a coconut based ice cream option for vegans like myself. The ice cream was good, but I wasn't blown away by the taste (compared to a place like coldstone). Service was slow as there were only two people working for a lot of people with a number of options from people to choose from on the menu. Despite that, their system was efficient for picking up your order. Outside of the small ice cream shop (no seating inside) there are tables and benches to sit on and eat your ice cream. I think it's worth visiting especially if you can eat most of the ice cream on the menu as the options looked enticing.
Expensive for what it is but still very enjoyable. We came shortly before closing, music was blaring, enjoyed our ice cream on the streets. I had the cookie and cream one which was great, just pricey.
Sweet Jesus this ice cream was incredible! Note to self and anyone else visiting - do the small because even that is WAY TOO MUCH ice cream for any human being to eat in one sitting. I had the Cookies and Cream and my friend had the Bangin' Brownie and the soft serve on both was delicious but the toppings were outrageous. The amount of cookie dough on my ice cream should have been illegal. It was so rich and delicious and incredible - I truly don't think I've ever had a simple cup of soft serve with such amazing toppings. These people are doing it right, and in a city with plenty of gourmet ice cream options, Sweet Jesus rises to the top - using simple ingredients in a way that works so well!
Good quality ice cream, a lot of topping choices and delicious ice cream cakes. Services was slow despite us being the only ones in the store, so I wouldn't bother if there's a line. Portion sizes were too much. Also, Ice cream melts too fast
Came here on a weekday evening, no line up. There are two size options, regular and small with the cup sizes on display for visual. Ordered two regular cones, one cookies and cream and the other Rocky road rage. Visually, looks delicious. Cookies and cream was with vanilla soft serve, dusted in cookie crumbs and cookie dough. Rocky road rate was with chocolate soft serve, marshmallows, nuts and chocolate drizzle. Both cones melted super fast, it was very messy to eat. Nothing special about it, at one point you just get tired of the ice cream, should have gotten a small. Two regular cones after tax costs around $13 Staff were friendly and fyi, there aren't any places for you to sit and enjoy your cones as the tables in the front are for the restaurants next to the store. No dine in either as the storefront is small and only for takeaway service.
I was so excited to try it this place out because everything looked so pretty and delicious, but it was a total let down. I tried the red rapture which has red velvet cake crumbles, cheesecake drizzle and raspberry drizzle. The flavors of the crumble and sauce were quite bland and did not stand out or 'pop'. The soft serve was almost an icy consistency and had a sour under note which was quite unpleasant. For $7 for a small cone, I expect higher quality. I also felt that they should try to make a core and put some toppings inside as well!
This place definitely used to be better..... I stopped by because I had such fond memories of this place from a few years back where I would see a line wrapped around the block just to get your hands on a cone from this place. The icecream was very rich, almost custard-like which was a good sign, however the price tag was definitely not justified. It was a basic twist cone with some crushed toppings for nearly $8
I was kind of surprised that this place only had three stars. You have to know going in that it's soft serve.. if you are only a fan of traditional ice cream then you probably won't enjoy it. That being said if you do like soft serve this place adds some great toppings and makes a tasty treat! There are a few selections on the menu but it's not too large that you have trouble deciding. They have two sizes, but we both went with the kids size and it was more than enough. You can get your choice in a cup or a cone. We went with Krusty the cone and rocky road rage. Krusty comes with vanilla ice cream, cotton candy and sprinkles. Rocky road is chocolate ice cream, marshmallow, nuts, Oreo and chocolate sauce. Both were really good and cute too.
So I'll start off by saying I don't remember being wowed by this location, but the one I was wowed at is no longer open. The only reason I wasn't wow'd here is bc I didn't love the ice cream flavor I got... however I had the pumping pie one and it was amazing.. seasonal, but delicious! This is a fun take on ice cream with toppings. Not sure why such low ratings at this location... but I would give it a try anyways!
My girlfriend said we had to check this spot out on our Toronto visit. We arrived and there was a decent line. Once we got to the counter, she ordered cookies and cream in a cup. The service was a little slow and disorganized. We grabbed a picnic table out front and she gave it a try. I asked her how she liked it and she said it was ok, but pretty average. Nothing really stood out about it. I tried a bite and agreed. Unfortunately, this one didn't stand out for us. I think this spot was over hyped a bit.
It's tough to miss the photos from this place which show pretty elaborately decorated cones with toppings expertly packed on including coconut, cookie pieces, nutella, brownie bits, cotton candy, cream cheese icing, cake pieces, and those sauces cascading down - chocolate, cotton candy, caramel, blueberry. After a pretty filling dinner, a few of us decided to make a gut-busting move to check this place out. We waited patiently for the menu that was knowingly passed down the line of folks standing outside. We'd all decided on what we wanted to get long before we made our way into the very tiny space to place our orders. Our group tried a few of the cones - krusty cone, birthday cake, oh hungry, and hella hazelnut. I ordered the rocky road rage. It was everything I love about rocky road with their own spin. Chocolate soft serve was topped with walnuts, cashews, marshmallows, and Oreo cookie crumbs. We all got the small sizes, cones and cups, and it was plenty for the group of adults. We all really loved the decadence of the cones and they tasted great. Even when I'd eaten the outer toppings, which stayed on much better than I'd anticipated, I enjoyed the soft serve.
Sweet Jesus, I've been looking forward to trashing you for a long time! With that brutal start, I will admit that I am somewhat biased as I am an Ice Cream nut, and I think that soft serve is NOT ICE CREAM! The thing is, I'm not just hating without having a detailed explanation of my problem with this horrible phenomenon. As you can see from my photos, soft serve in the modern era is a slight-of-hand trick designed to make you pay loads of cash for virtually nothing in return. Perhaps I wouldn't hate Sweet Jesus so much if they charged a lot less. Here's the rub, you can go to some AMAZING ice cream places and pay less for real ice cream with real diverse sets of flavours and love put into the design of those flavours. When it comes to soft serve, you get a pile of discharge gussied up with a fancy covering of some kind of nice tasting flare. Any form of enjoyment that you will get out of this place will last only a few bites as you break through the outer layer. Once you are done with that, you have nothing left but this mush of disappointment drooling into the cup that you are holding. You look down and realize that you have spent close to $10 for almost nothing. PLEASE, for the love of some other Jesus, do not subsidize this business with your hard earned money. read more

Last night after work I was really feeling ice cream, and since Im lactose it's hard for me to find ice cream I can consume. I saw sweet Jesus and decided I'd check it out. When I went in I was greeted by the employees,which was nice, and when I asked if there was anything non dairy on their menu the employee told me about the "bounty killah". She had explained it very well,gave me lots of details as well. After I got it, I was surprised how fast it was. It was a splendid ice cream,it was made with coconut milk, topped with toasted shredded coconut pieces and dark chocolate. The outside was crunchy and the inside was soft. It was better then I had expected. read more

I visited about 2 years ago when Sweet Jesus was super hyped all over Instagram. At the time I remember the ice cream itself being cool-looking but sub par in flavour. I visited again yesterday and the flavour this time just blew me away! Maybe it was the flavours I chose 2 years ago. This time I got the Hella Hazelnut, which was HELLA GOOD. The little space outside of the store is also a cute little place within the city to enjoy your ice cream. Lots of plants and it's just lovely. It's a bit pricey for ice cream (~$6.00 each) but it's a treat, not something you'd get every day. Also, the "kid size" is definitely enough. They pile the ice cream so high that you end up with tons. I couldn't imagine having any more than the kid size. read more
Our family isn't into the "fake" ice cream. They should advertise that it's light or like ice cream, but isn't the real McCoy. We were not impressed. It had an artificial sugary taste that lacked substance. My baseline for comparison is The big Gay. This Sweet Jesus doesn't make the cut. Sorry. read more
There is always a line up in front of this place. I think the main reason why it is so well-known is Instagram. Otherwise the icecream itself is just okay, nothing super special. You see people on the sidewalk taking photos of the ice cream all the time, and it is all over Instagram. Portion sizes used to be gigantic. The first time I went I didn't know and got one just for myself and I couldn't finish it. I think they reduced the portions because the last time I went it wasn't that crazy. I like the regular softserve. Vanilla is always good. read more

After years of hearing of this place is finally made it. I order the mini birthday cake and my friend ordered the mini red rapture. Astectically pleasing and pretty for Instagram photos and the cake pieces were a nice touch, however the ice cream itself was nothing special and overpriced. I took a bite out of my friend's and I actually liked hers a bit more (the raspberry syrup mixed in was good). The mini was quite big actually and I wouldn't mind sharing the mini with someone ($6 for a mini) because after eating the top part I gave up and threw the rest out. It's also very messy lol. My friend and I both would have preferred if the cake pieces or something else was mixed into the soft serve (like DQ Blizzard). I feel like this would be a one time thing or if they have their fruit flavoured soft serve I might just get that instead or share a cup with someone. read more
Cute ice cream store with a few lactose free options! I tried the coconut (vegan) soft serve, regular size. They also had a seasonal mango vegan soft serve flavor. The portion size was substantial! I find their new sizing labels to be misleading, they have 2 sizes: "kids" and "regular". It implies that anyone who isn't a child should only order "regular", even though "kids" is their name for the smaller size. Beware of the lines and wait times in the summer evenings though! read more
Pleasantly surprised. Food: 4/5 Great summer snack. Service: 3/5 Okay. Environment: 3/5 Super busy in hot days. Washrooms: N/A Worth it?: 3/5 I have been avoiding this place for a while. The photos seemed so over the top when all I want was some simple ice cream. I was expecting to have plain underwhelming ice cream topped off with crazy topping masking the simplicity. Turns out the ice cream flavors were pretty good. Even still, I find it over priced and the line ups and craziness takes away from the experience. I will stop by again when convenient but I don't see myself craving to come back. read more

On the way to work one morning, I noticed the sandwich board and sign that said espresso. I was excited on something new. I had no idea this was the place everyone was going to later in the day for ice cream. Shows you how I am not awake, in the morning. So, y'all, they make coffee! Whenever, I start my morning in the area nowadays, I stop there for my coffee. It's the same fellow there each time. Friendly and very happy to share product knowledge about the coffee acquired from a local company. It's a good cup of coffee. Plus, I really love the art on the cups. It's refreshing from the norm. I think with a name like Sweet Jesus, there's definitely a creative license other places won't have. read more
Tastes alright, but not worth the price. It's $6 for a specialty cone. The cone is a regular cone (no sugar or waffle cone options). You're also not allowed any substitutions, which is unfortunate cause some of the soft serv flavours aren't even featured in the specialty cones menu. The vanilla soft serv itself is actually sub-par. It's not very creamy. I also tasted the strawberry rhubarb soft serv - it was pretty watery and I couldn't taste any rhubarb. The consistency of the burnt marshmallow soft serv was much better, and tasted the best out of the three flavours I tried. I got the cookies cookies cookies and cream, which was ok. Tried my friend's cinnamon crunch one, and it was basically just vanilla ice cream rolled in cinnamon toast cereal. Pretty much equivalent to eating a really expensive bowl of unhealthy cereal. Better off going to one of the customizable frozen yogurt places where you can pick your own froyo flavours AND toppings! read more
Sweet Jesus is overhyped and overpriced. I waited 30 mins which is considered fairly short, and as fun as the ideas and creations are, it tastes like regular softserve but with crumbs and stuff. If you haven't been here and you do want to see what the hype is, no harm in trying it but don't expect much. Go when the line isnt long either. read more
Sweet Jesus is classic hipster. This place is hyped to the max and I've heard about the insanely long lines but lucky (smart?) us, we decided to go for a pre-dinner dessert after putting our name on the wait list at Pai. Smartest move ever because there was barely a line! We walked straight to the front where the hostess gave us a couple minutes to peruse the menu before ordering. The menu is all about the soft serve here. But look, they actually have paletas (Mexican frozen popsicles). Didn't even see that until taking a closer look. Interesting. You can also get coffee/drinks if ice cream ain't enough. LOL at the Summer Sixteen. - Red rapture and Oh sweet baby Jesus! ($6.50 each) - the Red rapture consisted of vanilla soft serve with red velvet cake, cream cheese icing, raspberry puree and meringue crumble while the Oh sweet baby Jesus was caramel soft serve with peanut butter and caramel sauce, chocolate-peanut crumble and chocolate sauce. The red rapture was supposed to taste like red velvet cake but that would be stretching it. You could taste more raspberry tones than red velvet. Pretty lacklustre for me. We both preferred the caramel soft serve. If you like peanut butter, chocolate and caramel, this will be your jam. Main issue we had with both is how easily it crumbles/falls apart. That and there's not much seating outside. They kicked us out of the area that wasn't part of their seating because they would potentially get in trouble for that. Worth trying once for the "experience" but the soft serve is not particularly special. Then again, they have three locations so they must be doing something right. All about the Instagram likes. read more
There is so much hype associated with this establishment and in my opinion I think it's over hyped. Sure, their soft serve is piled high with toppings but the actual ice cream wasn't that great. It was too airy and the flavour wasn't strong. Good thing I order the kiddie size since for sure I wouldn't have been able to finish a regular one. There isn't much standing room inside while waiting to order nor sitting area outside. There are so many ice cream shops that I'd rather try than coming back here again. read more
Sweet Jesus what a creative name for an ice cream bar! With my second visit to downtown Toronto - I usually make sure to stop at Su&Bu for lunch at least once- sweet Jesus is located right next door and I always miss it. This time I wasn't going to let that happen! I made a quick stop to the Sweet Jesus pick up counter. (They have a sitting area as well if you opt to dine in). The colour combination of a bright turquoise with the green plants was a great choice. I ordered a kids sized cookies and cream icecream cone for around 6-7$. A soft serve vanilla icecream (tasted weird like a cheese cake base) coated in cookie crumbs and chunks of Cookie dough (didn't really taste like cookie dough). Overall, I didn't enjoy this flavour-2/5. I look forward to try other flavours that may provide a better palate experience ! read more
Oh man, we almost skipped this place because the line was just insane. It took us half an hour to get around the corner. Finally we got our ice cream and there wasn't much of an area to sit. But the ice cream was pretty damn enjoyable. I would go back but I don't think I would wait in the line again. read more
Honestly, you come here only for the nice and aesthetic instagrams and photos. I was treated here for a late birthday celebration by my manager (thank you!!!) and chose to order the Rocky Rage in a cone (with an extra cup on the side). Oh my gosh, the portions were huge!!! The sort serve wasn't out of this world, though it was very nice, chocolaty and creamy. The walnut and cashew crunches were a nice touch as well! I barely made a dent in mine, and away it went... The party I came with ordered Sweet Baby Jesus (he said the Banging Brownie tastes much better), Cookies and Cream, and Red Rapture. I think they all agreed, however, that chocolate would be the superior choice. read more

Sweet Jesus, NO! This place is definitely overhyped and overpriced. So disappointed. Yes, it's soft serve with just fancy toppings. I knew that going in but even the soft serve was blah. I don't know what they did to it but you can get better soft serve from the ice cream truck on the street and for much less. My friends and I went on a Sunday afternoon, probably an hour after they opened and there was no line up at all. In and out in 10 minutes? I tried the Cookies Cookies Cookies & Cream, which I actually shared with one of my friends cause I just came from a lunch. Portion was big and filling, I will give you that. My other friend had Red Rapture. Both were lacklustre and toppings not complimentary to the soft serve. Soft serve was weirdly bland. Like this is probably one of the first times in my life to be disappointed by ice cream! ICE CREAM! Overall, it definitely isn't worth it! While trendy, there are certainly better options out there. read more
I'm a visual creature. I saw photos of Sweet Jesus ice cream on Instagram, 'liked' the photos, and grabbed a friend to go to the shop with me. Considering that it was quite cold and almost ten o'clock, I was surprised that there was a line. It's on the street level of a high-rise condo building. The menu is pretty extensive with a variety of interesting soft serve ice cream cone creations. I had the Skor & Ritz Pie, which is a vanilla soft serve ice cream cone dunked in pieces of Skor chocolate and Ritz crackers. Perhaps I hyped this place up too much in my mind? For $6, the portion was generous, but it was a little too much. I ended up not finishing my cone (and I love eating). Definitely check it out once as the concept is pretty neat. Lately I haven't been in much of a dessert mood, but I can never say no to ice cream! Sweet Jesus opened with a lot of fanfare on Instagram, and I was curious to check it out myself. I was excited to see that they have pumpkin spice soft serve on the menu, but in the end went for the burnt marshmallow. The staff was kind enough to let me sample both on a spoon. Not feeling extremely hungry, I only ordered the soft serve without any toppings, but was astonished at the portion! I love ice cream, but perhaps not that much! I suggest that they come up with a kiddy cone size. That aside, the burnt marshmallow flavour was delicious, albeit overly sweet. My companions tried the S'mores and the one with cotton candy all over it. I loved the creativity of these decadent soft serve, but the portions are really astonishing. It kind of gave me a sugar coma just looking. Overall, I think sweet Jesus is a good occasional decadent treat, but definitely won't be my go-to ice cream place. read more
Is it worth the wait? Probably not. Would I do it again? Maybe, ya! Super long line up for a soft serve ice cream covered in toppings. The line is long but I treat it as part of the experience. I got the rocky road and even though I couldn't finish it it was so big, I enjoyed it thoroughly (4 stars). If you haven't waited for your sweet Jesus ice cream yet, get in line at least once! read more

Gourmet drinks are my weakness. It can be over the top but that's all about the hype, right? The place is tiny so don't hangout inside at all. I wanted to try their winter special drink S'mores latte but they didn't have the same one. They offered me burnt marshmallow instead. It was very entertaining to see them make the drink. They had the actual torch to burn marshmallow. I liked my drink. Not that sweet which I like and the marshmallow made the drink more gooey. read more
The instagrammable dessert place that's raved in Canada so I had to try this delicious sweet tooth place. Their angle is outside the box frozen yogurt with very creative sides and garnishes! The portion sizes also are very misleading as it's HUGE including the kid size! Not necessarily a bad thing to have more for your money but I'd just say to have portions match the photos! I love chocolate so we got 2 different ones with a brownie/oreo combo and another is a Nutella one! Very yummy but we were way too full to eat the whole thing. The even had this very creative birthday cake one where I saw someone else got and they add a candle! read more

Toronto seems to have a love affair with ice cream and in a market that offers lots of unique options, Sweet Jesus holds it own. We got the Hella Nutella and one serving was more than enough for two people. If you're in the area give it a try! read more
Had heard about this place before our trip to Toronto and definitely had it on my radar to check out. Since it was only 10 mins from our hotel and we were heading down to Blue Jay Way for lunch we made this a pit stop on the way back to Union Station. At first we passed right by it as it was tucked neatly in the corner of what looked like a little strip mall. Even the sign wasn't overly clear as it was written in a small font that with the glare of the sun could have been easily missed. Inside we ventured to what was no more than a cut out little bar set up with menus set in a tin can to peruse over as we made our decision. I grabbed the Sweet Baby Jesus in biggie size as well as purchased some coffee beans, their signature Sweet Jesus blend from De Mello coffee roasters. The cone was far too big after the meal I consumed so I only ate about a third. Too many nuts on it for my tastes but the ice cream inside was delicious as were the sauces on it. I'd like to try their hot chocolate next time and maybe a small of another flavour. read more
Having recently moved in the area, I always passed Sweet Jesus and see the long line up. So I google to see what's making people go gaga over this place. Sure enough you see tons of reviews and pics of ice cream. But what I'm really interested is trying their drinks. So finally I got the courage to check out this place on a weekend, went around 9 am. No lineups which is a good sign . As I approached the counter, the server politely asked me if I'm there for the ice cream. She said they don't serve ice cream until noon. I told her "Are you serious, there are people who eat ice cream for breakfast lol". And she replied back that "You'll be surprised there are a lots of people who order ice cream as early as 8 am." Anyway, on to what I ordered. Since I'm in the mood for something Chocolatey, I ordered their Death by Hot Chocolate." It was rich and Chocolatey but not overly sweet. The plus side - Instagram worthy pic, the downside @ $7+ , this is an indulgence. Not a drink that you can buy everyday. read more
No. Big line up for nothing that special really. The ice cream is regular ice cream onto which they do a random themed load of toppings. Not worth the wait and definitely not worth the steep prices. I'd rather go to other ice cream establishments downtown that actually do different flavors, not just give you vanilla or chocolate covered in a bunch of stuff. It's crowded and no place to really sit and eat. The only thing I enjoyed was one of their London fog drinks.. milk tea with some orange zest and lavender. That was different and nice to try. Heard quite few times about SJ and wanted to 4 teenagers to this as they have been following SJ on social media. The trip made specially from GTA West and North for this, so we hoped it was worth the trip. The line up was pretty short, jut a few people ahead of us and it moved quite quickly. Was handed the menu card in the line, so we were pretty much decided by the time we were at the cashier. Ordered Cookies and Cream, Lemon Coconut Cream Pie, Banging Brownie, Red Rapture and a Matcha Libre for me. Cookies and Cream was OK. Hardly any cookie dough and all cookies tasted the same Lemon Coconut was better, but lacked lemon a bit. Brownie was loaded with brownie and chocolate softie was a tad better than the plain vanilla Red Rapture was the best amongst all. Enough Red Velvet and went with vanilla Matcha Libre had a mild flavour of matcha and had cooled considerably by the the time I sat down. The whipped cream loaded high and black sesame a distraction. Added crunch to the soft peaks, but nothing else. The vanilla was a sore point for all of us. We also compared to other softees we have had and all agreed that either the Costco or even Ikea's tasted better. Mind you they don't add anything to it so they are sweeter compared to SJ. The size we had were regular and not the small. The cone experience made it less enjoyable. Order in a cup if ordering a regular and a cone if you order the small one. read more

Meh. That's my thought upon eating a cookies, cookies, cookies, and cream cone from sweet jesus. This location is a literal, hole in the wall. It's a super small shop located in the kitty corner of a big building. There's maybe 10 feet of standing room in the actual shop, which understandably makes sense why there's always a huge line. The line does move fast though. Upon finishing dinner nearby, our group decided on Sweet Jesus, some people really love it so we decided to check it out. For a large cone ($7.50) you got soft serve with toppings on the outside of the ice cream cone. Fellow reviewer Kris hit the nail on the head with his statement, ''inside out mcflurry.'' I found the taste to be very underwhelming, and not worth the money/hype. Staff were quick and efficient, however we had to ask repeatedly what the cashier was saying because of the ridiculously loud music playing. Also they ran out of vanilla and strawberry soft serve ice cream by 830pm on a sunday night. (right after our group got served) Chalk it up to the experience and move on. 2/5 read more
I am a person who loves hot chocolate, but sadly don't love dark chocolate, which is why this place was definitely the best hot chocolate place for me. It came with milk hot chocolate and torched marshmallows on top. My favorite in the area! read more

Meh. Honestly, I waited all this time to finally have a taste of Sweet Jesus, I stood out in the rain for 30 minutes this past weekend and paid $15+.... For sloppy soft serve? Ok let's give them their due if you're looking to boost your Instagram likes, a cool filter on a picture of one of their cones would do the trick... In 2016! Now with the saturation of eye popping wow factor desserts in the city all that SJ is left with are two things (which are the same for most businesses), taste and experience. From a taste perspective the reviewers here who compared them to overpriced McDonalds soft serve would be Bang on the money. To take it a step further its basically an upside down unmixed mcflurry. Not that that's a bad thing, it's just not remarkable. From an experience perspective it was not the best. Long lines, no respect for the order of a line up, a narrow crowded store front, and staff so over worked that theyre barely getting the cones out with a smile. Layer in that the extortionist pricing. Nah mate I'm good. In the battle for ice cream supremacy in Toronto stick to Bang Bang on Ossington (or McDonalds... But like seriously). It was this hipster place connected to a restaurant but they had their own door around the side. We ordered the Nutella one. And it was amazing. They add this little cone holder at the bottom which helps with the droplets because they stack it pretty tall. It was topped with Nutella, pistachios, and these crumbley things and it was amazing!! The hype was real for Sweet Jesus. I always heard about the lines in front of the store and I was super excited to try Sweet Jesus just based on the marketing from their website (sweetjesus4life.com). "Their goal is to combine conceptual thinking with high quality ingredients and products, in an effort to make something that tastes and looks unlike anything you've ever seen and had before." I was impressed on the presentation of the items we ordered and I thought the decor they had around the shop was was done very well. We tried (1) milkshake, (2) flavors of soft serve, and (1) espresso. Unfortunately for me, the vanilla shake with pretzels was by far the worst shake I've literally ever had. We did however order two other soft serves (Rocky Road Rage and Red Rapture-Red Velvet) and I loved them both. However, can't say I would be willing to wait longer than a few minutes as the taste didn't match the hype. P.s - The espresso was great. read more
The title embodies your response when you get this mondo ice cream. My god it was delicious. I've had different forms of ice cream before but not so meticulously and mouthwateringly chaotic: small cookie pieces, chocolate shavings, and ultra-smooth ice cream. This is my second time here! While I love the straight up soft serve, I think the cones are a little crazy for my taste. The serving of a regular could easily be shared between 2 and even the kids size is quite large. I would definitely recommend getting the cone in a cup as it does tend to be messier than your regular ice cream. This time around, I got the Cookie, Cookies, Cookies and Cream! I loved the idea cookie topping but it got too sweet after a couple of bites. If you're a huge fan of sweets, it may not be a problem but if you tend to like your sweets less sweet, then I would opt for just the soft serve as the toppings are quite extravagant and plentiful. Overall, the staff was nice and there was a bit of a wait for a Sunday evening but worth the calories. Grab lots of Kleenex on your way out as you are bound to make a mess! There are no spots to sit unless you go outside but just be wary of the line up as it does tend to get quite crowded if there's a ton of people. read more
Was in a Toronto for a long weekend and made a stop at Sweet Jesus a requirement after seeing it on Instagram. We came on a Sunday afternoon and there was no one else in there. I ordered a kids ice chocolate ice cream and my boyfriend got the cookies and cream milkshake. The kids size was more than enough for me due to how rich it was! The ice cream was some of the smoothest and creamiest ice cream I have had! read more
