We have finally made it to sweet love pastry after having it bookmarked for years. My daughter was off early today and we were all able to manage to stop by before they closed for the day. The shop is small, with the daily selections in a glass case, but you can see some of the kitchen in the back where the bakes come from. A lot of cupcakes were left, but my daughter hasn't had much luck with vegan cupcakes; mainly because most are too sweet for her. Other options were muffins, donuts, two black and white cookies, and some other flavors of mini loaves. We were assured that everything was vegan, with the exception of the banana bread mini loaf. However, my daughter had been concerned because the board to the side had claimed that the cookies weren't vegan, but asking the girl who was checking us out again, she said that it was indeed vegan. My wife got a blueberry muffin and a red velvet cupcake, which isn't pictured. She said that they were both dry. But she understood that she wasn't part of the crowd that the bakery is intended for (vegans and those suffering from gluten allergies). I tried the muffin and thought it had a nice flavor, but the texture is a little different from what I'm used to since I'm also not gluten free. When my daughter tries her desserts, I will come back to update my review. Finally, while checking out, the cashier gave us a 10% off coupon which was very kind of her to do. Also don't forget, when you check in you get a 10% your first order! I may not come back myself, but if your someone who is vegan, gluten free, or likes trying new bakeries, I say give them a try! *Wanted to leave a review and say thank you to Ana of Sweet Love Bakery . We worked together on my wedding cake and it was amazing. We literally made this cake up out of our minds. It was a very personalized experience. We discussed our ideas over a few days, shared different images and suggestions. We decided to go with a three tiered cake with three different fillings and frosting then merged them with the design. I was so afraid that the combinations wouldn't work, but we made it happen. It's a completely vegan cake. The top layer was confetti for our children, the second layer was guava. Might I add it was a true guava flavor. And the third layer was chocolate. Hey, you have to stick with the classics sometimes. It was amazing. She was amazing, check out the photos of the cake with the fresh greenery, gold flakes and flowers on it. We had the cake delivered so that really helped save us time. The delivery company that they use was on time and very careful with the package. Thanks for the great service Ana. Side note, the bakery strives to serve the freshest baked goods. Anything left over from the day before is on sale usually 50% off to clear the shelf. They environment in the store itself is calm and clean like your typical bakery just vegan. I absolutely LOVED this bakery! I searched near and far for pizza and cake/cupcakes for my sons birthday party. My son is gluten free/dairy free so I needed a gluten free dairy free pizza party for his school. This bakery did not disappoint! Their pizza was delicious and their cupcakes and cake tasted and looked beautiful. What a life saver! I certainly recommend this bakery to any parent and will be visiting again soon! This is place is very cute! They have a few stools inside for people to sit and a huge chalkboard menu to see what what's vegan, kosher, gluten-free etc. I ordered a mini Pecan Spice cupcake and two regular sized Guava and Chocolate Chip cupcakes. (Having a serious sweet tooth lol!) The Pecan spice was the softest one in texture but it was okay. Nothing special. The pecans were a bit larger than I was expecting in the cake part. The Guava cupcake had a grainy taste to it which I know Guava normally has a grainy texture when eating it but the cake part was very firm. Not hard per say but I imagined it to mimic the soft texture as the Pecan Spice and it didn't so that kind of threw me off. BUT, my favorite was the Chocolate Chip cupcake. WOW. There was a slight crunch as you bite into it but the cake was also moist. Not overwhelming on the Chocolate Chips either but the icing is a bit too sweet for my liking but i'd def reorder the Chocolate Chip again. My mom was looking for an alternative to Bunnie Cakes in Miami, which I love, for when I come to town so she doesn't have to drive me all the way there. This place is only a few minutes from where she lives and they have vegan options (which I eat due to a Casein allergy). We bought 10 in gluten-free and vegan pizza (with mozzarella and cheddar), a gluten-free chocolate glazed donut and a gluten-free vegan chocolate chip muffin. If it's possible to give zero stars I would , I purchased a gluten nut free cake Saturday for my family's wedding dinner as my grandchildren cannot eat gluten or nuts and was very unsatisfied with the cake as was my whole family. It ruined our wedding dinner. It wasn't cooked and flavorless. I requested a refund for this small horrible 56$ cake and manager Ana was very upset and argued that the cake was cooked. She initially refused my refund stating her policy was no refunds only credit, I explained to her she had no such policy posted therefore according to Florida state law I was entitled to my refund, she continued to make excuses and reluctantly decided to do it even though she did not agree. When I returned today for my credit refund receipt she was abrupt and told me I had to throw out my own cake because it was bad luck for her, I walked out. This young lady has much to learn about customer service if she's going to continue as a small business owner, she needs a serous education in customer service to learn how to treat customers. I am passing this information on to save other customers from the same peril with this establishment. read more

I was very disappointed with my order. I ordered a cake and 24 cupcakes. Although the design was cute the taste and quality were horrible! I was first turned off by the fact my order wasn't ready when I went there to pick it up, I had to wait for her to finish frosting half the cupcakes. At my daughter's party, nobody ate a full cupcake, they took bites and basically left them there not even halfway eaten. some people said they tasted undercooked. I have tried other vegan bakeries that were amazing like Bunnie Cakes in Wynwood, but this one was very dissapointing. Nobody even wanted a slice of the cake after trying the cupcakes.
