The gentleman behind the counter kind and patient with her questions and requests. I ordered the falafel appetizer and shawarma sandwich. My mom went with a classic burger. The falafel balls were crisp on the outside and delightful on the inside. The tahini sauce was creamy and light and the added hot sauce gave it a kick and a pop of flavor. The shawarma was delicious. The meat juicy and flavorful. Spiced just right. Add in the Israeli salad, tahini and a side of marinated carrots and I was in my happy place. My mom chowed down on her burger and her fries like she hadn't eaten in months. She said she hadn't enjoyed a burger like that in a long time. The place is a quick serve style restaurant. Not fancy, but comfortable setting. An excellent place for a kosher meal, a falafel or some shawarma.

The kebab and hummus were standouts for me, but honestly, everything was to die for. The salads were incredibly fresh, the meats were juicy and cooked to perfection, and the hummus was perfectly creamy. And you can't forget the warm, fluffy pita! Beyond the amazing food, the atmosphere was warm and welcoming, thanks to the friendly staff who made us feel right at home. I can't wait to return and explore more of the menu! It's an order-at-the-counter setup, and they have a fridge stocked with a great selection of Israeli juices and sodas--definitely worth trying for an extra authentic touch!

Feeling like…read morea little bit of everything on a plate; we took a good ole ride down to Sunrise Pita and Grill. Going in, there wasn't too long of a wait and we settled on a shawarma mini plate with a side order of fresh fries. Moving on with my review; everything was excellent! Note; I've been coming here since I've been a child, but the food nevertheless fails to impress me. The shawarma was succulent, spiced and grilled well too; fries fresh and crispy; the veggies/spreads were all fresh and provided nicel contrast of flavors too. Moreover, the mini plate provided plenty to eat between the 2 of us as our bellies were super full! In addition, the employees were very friendly and attentive. Overall, this was another superb meal at Sunrise Pita & Grill, and hope those who haven't been here to give this place a shot! Verdict remains 5/5!

However we were in for a nasty surprise when we realized that their website is incorrect and they aren't open until 10 PM, only until 8 PM, so by 7:30 when we arrived, the grills were closed. The only protein options they had were schnitzel or falafel. I got a falafel pita, and even though I love falafel, this just wasn't it. The falafel didn't have much flavor, and the sauce had a weirdly bitter aftertaste. It was overall pretty dry, and it fell flat texturally. The flavor of their hummus was also quite bland with a bitter aftertaste as well. While I didn't try it myself, my family was rather unimpressed with the schnitzel pita too. The best part of the meal was the potato wedges and the canned Israeli apple juice. After such a disappointing experience, I don't think I'd go out of my way to come back.

Found this steakhouse on the AADVANTAGE dining program…read more Olives and pita bread are served complimentary. There are no cocktails on this Saturday night. I don't know if it's standard practice. From the looks of what would be the bar, I assume there is no liquor license. Many bottles of wine and limited beer options and no liquor bottles. The waiter said the owner doesn't serve cocktails tonight. ‍‍ The ice machine was broken. For the prices on menu items, there's no way that's acceptable. They could have brought in bags of ice, and we would have never known. We had no ice to go with our water and coke, and the beer was barely cool. Finally, we see bags of ice brought in and wasn't offered any. ‍‍ Tomahawk steak medium well was good, but I needed a little more seasoning. Mash potatoes tasted like freshly smashed potatoes and needed a little salt and butter, and the oyster mushrooms were a bit chewy with a charred taste. 3 Lamb chops were serves medium rare so it was requested to be well done then it was good, the spinach was bitter with no flavor and the rice tasted old as it was leftovers from previous day or days. Rice didn't taste freshly cooked at all. Bone in Ribeye medium rare was good with a Cesar salad that tasted strange. The Cesar dressing tasted like a blue cheese mixed with ranch and a vinegar. I don't know it just wasn't a good Ceasars dressing, and it was iceberg lettuce, not romaine. Overall, they prepared good steaks and good lamb chops, but they need to step it up on the sides. For the price of steak, they need to give a better portion and more than 3 lamb chops. For the quality of food it's an overpriced restaurant. Though the digital menu is up with technology, it's not truly functional. It's not user-friendly for older persons, and it had a glitch. They should consider a QR code. Overall, the ambiance is nice. The food was ok but overpriced. Stop in to support a small business. 1 issue I did have, the waiter didn't help us while ordering. My dad ordered rice with his lamb chops, not knowing that it came with rice, and the waiter said nothing. I was bothered, but 2 sides come with the steaks. My son didn't order any sides, so I requested that the rice be a side of my son's order. They corrected that with no problem. the spinach and the rice were removed from the bill. Customer service was decent.

This time, I went specifically for the Cinnabon Cinnamon Cheesecake, and it was easily a 10/10. The flavor was rich, smooth, and perfectly balanced without being overwhelmingly sweet, making it one of the best cheesecakes I've had there so far. I've officially been on a mission to try every single cheesecake on the menu, and experiences like this make that goal even more exciting. The variety they offer is unmatched, and there's always something new to look forward to. Katie, my server, was amazing, super friendly, attentive, and made sure everything was perfect throughout my visit. On top of that, the patio seating created a really nice, relaxed vibe that made the experience even better. Overall, this location continues to impress me every time I go, and I'll definitely be back again soon.

Our drinks didn't arrive until 8:40 PM, and our food wasn't served until around 10:00 PM. The wait times were excessive, especially with children at the table. I ordered the Chicken & Biscuits, but after my meal was brought out, I was told they were out and making more biscuits. So I was left with fried chicken and gravy while waiting even longer for a replacement. That should have been communicated before the food came out. My drink was a Raspberry lemon drop which was good. My mom ordered the New Orleans Cajun Shrimp and was shocked to receive only three shrimp with a tiny piece of bread. It definitely wasn't worth the price 8.95 My daughter had the Thai Stir-Fried Noodles (without shrimp). She said they tasted good, although they were a little spicy. My 5-year-old ordered the Cheese Flatbread Pizza, and that was the one bright spot--it came out well before everyone else's food, and he loved it. My other son had the Smokehouse BBQ Burger, and he said it was good. The food quality was a miss, but the biggest issue was the extremely long wait, poor communication, and lack of attention to the dining experience. With a reservation, I expected much better.
