Very affordable mani and pedi! Ladies are very nice, i guess my complaint was the lack of massage services during your mani and pedi. It's not very consistent because the ladies next to me got a very long and nice massage on their legs, neck and shoulders, but then my lady and my friends lady did not provide the same lengthy service. It's very hit or miss. Waiting area is really small and the place can be busy. Friendly staff. Quick and efficient. Lots of colors to choose from, but the big shelf of nail polishes runs from the floor to ceiling, so it's impossible to pick the nail polishes towards the top of the shelf...doesn't really make sense. read more

This is your typical Asian style nail salon, however the girls that work here are top-notch! I've been to (almost) every nail salon in Austin, have overpaid at many that have given mediocre manicures and have left telling myself "I'll never go back!" However once I found this unsuspecting salon (it's right in the Target parking lot), I have now found my go-to place! Prices are reasonable and their shellac lasts for 2 weeks or longer (!!!!). Ask for MARIA, Moon or Holly as they have always been the best. Full disclosure: on an off week, I did go to one of the new girls and unfortunately did not have a great shellac experience, but once I called they told me to come back and they would fix it! I did and it was of no charge, which I would expect and was very much appreciated! Give this salon a try! I was having a wonderful morning, and saw this spa hosting a grand opening after a run to Target. Decided to stop in for a simple gel manicure, and had one of the worst nail experiences to date. My technician did not show me where to choose a color, so I selected a pink on the left wall. After painting for near 20 minutes, she asked if I'd selected the gel polish, and I stated I wasn't sure, as I'd simply chosen a color from the wall she pointed at. She seem flustered, and touched my painted nails, tapping to see if they were drying properly with the UV light - she reassured me I'd chosen the gel polish. A bit later, my polish nudged, and she realized it was indeed, not the gel polish. My quick mani turned into an hour and a half ordeal, the end of which was rushed, as she had to remove and repaint my color from scratch using the gel polish. On top of that disappointment (who does not know the difference between a regular polish, and a gel polish when working at a nail salon), she did not thoroughly massage my arms/hands, so I left with swaths of lotion on both arms. She forgot about the hot towel treatment, and when she remembered, she quickly tossed the towel onto my arms straight from the heater, which not only was uncomfortable, but too splashed hot water onto my face. I was not offered a beverage once, and I was not satisfied whatsoever with my service. I actually regret setting foot into Sweet Nails and Spa, and wish I'd simply come home to paint my nails myself. This is the worst manicure I have ever received. I did a powder manicure as I am an esthitician constat8washing my hands. The lady had no effing idea what she was doing. My nails are bumpy, not fully colored, and uneven. Dip powder is still attached to my actual skin. No discount was offered even tho they knew I was beyond unhappy. I should have caused the scene I wanted to just to feel like I got my money's worth. First time in my life ei have never not tipped for my nails. You need to do better sweet nails. Ok, so I recently moved to Manchaca from Austin and let me tell you, it took a great toll on my feet and personal well being. For starters, I had an artery sliced in my ankle, then a moving dolly sliced my other foot and to top it all off I was stung by 15 yellow jackets. 15!!! needless to say, I was tore up from the floor up! I had a combo of Walmart feet and 7-11 feet, and it does not get worse than that. The last thing I wanted to do is get in the Godawful traffic to Austin for a Pedi. So, like a miracle from Heaven, I found Sweet Nails. OMG!!!! They are wonderful. Five stars for the following- I came in at 4 on Sunday for a set without an appt. they asked if I could come back at 5 and since I really needed some nice nails I had no problem with it. Even though they closed at 6 and only had one hour to do my set, my lovely nail tech Lyla did not rush and was more than gracious in accepting me as a client late in the day. I am very appreciative of that, as the business was honest and upfront on the time constraints of that day but still gave me excellent service when I came back. Lyla was great and gave me a really beautiful set of pointy almond shaped acrylics, which I know are time consuming. They turned out beautiful and I am so happy. She even massaged cuticle oil after on my fingers so they weren't dry when I left (in my experience, usually when you just get tips and not a manicure, they tend to send you on your way immediately after painting over the tips so that was a nice finishing touch.) She also painted my nails beautifully, and I didn't end up with chunks of gel polish on my cuticles that fall off the next day. They have a pretty solid menu of pedicure options so I hope to try them next but this is definitely a great place to go in Austin for great nails, especially if you see Lyla. Lots of gel colors to choose from and I even spotted lots of color acrylic options too. read more

Prices are outrages and SOOOOO stupid, I paid $102 for just gel manicure and pedicure. They charged $5 to take off my gel even tho I was getting the service again... makes no fucking sense. They take way too long and they constantly stop during your appointment to help others and make you wait there. I got there at 4pm and didn't get out until 7pm! Remind you- IT WAS ONLY A GEL MANI AND PEDI. Ridiculous, I know!!!! Very unprofessional, always on their phone and very unorganized. DO NOT COME HERE I PROMISE! The only place I trust to do my nails in South Austin. Nice big new chairs with a staff that is ready to please. I always go for the deluxe pedicure and the attention to detail is second to none! Make sure and bring some headphones for your favorite music or your favorite book because it is way to peaceful in here for me. But then I am a bigger rocker so I am sure the tranquility is nice for most. Ask for Dr. Nails and you will get Maria. SHE IS THE BOMB!!! Just got back from getting my nails done at Sweet Nails and Spa, and I'm very happy with my overall experience! Got a Deluxe Manicure and Deluxe Pedicure - mint shellac for my nails and white shellac for my toes. I did not book an appointment, just a walk-in but I made sure to go early in the day just after the salon opened. I was greeted and got seated right away. Lynn was the one to greet me and welcome me in, and she ended up doing my pedicure. A young gentleman (I feel so bad, I didn't get his name) did my manicure. They were both excellent and paid extra attention to making sure I was happy with my nails/water temp/massage/etc. You'll read in other reviews about how friendly the staff is, and it's true, I watched Lynn and a few other staff members greet regulars by name and take care to making customers feel welcome. My mani/pedi came out great, the perfect color combo for summer! There are a ton of colors to choose from, but I really appreciated that the young man who did my nails helped me pick/decide on a color that suited my skin tone. I'm super happy with color and overall finish! I was kindly assisted by Holly at the register, who thanked me for coming. The massage was great, the service was exceptional, really glad I made the visit. My only regret is not having cash on hand for tip, because Lynn and the guy really deserved a cash tip. Please know that they accept card, and you can tip with card, but it's always nice when you can tip with cash. So if you can, have cash for tip. Side note: At first I was a bit concerned with all the construction going on around the salon, but they have a big sign to let customers know that they're still open for business, so don't hesitate and make a visit! read more

I had just been over at Target and noticed that this place was in the shopping center. I called before coming back over there and they said they weren't busy so we headed over there. Don't let the outside fool you. It's not clearly identified except for the word "Nails" but once you step inside it's very clean and the people were very accommodating. We were helped immediately and had someone to do our manis and pedis at the same time. It was dead and it felt great to be able to avoid the hustle and bustle and just have the time to catch up. But it was not i left frustrated with my nails.one of the co-workers saw me that i was upset so she contacted me n told me to call the manager. the manager told me to go in the morning to fix my nails. I got a bit relieved. I go there the next day. The manager did my nails n was very nice my nails looked better but overall I was not pleased Bc they did not have the color i had told them i wanted the lady said she had something similar but but nothing similar. The nails with no spark the manager did them they looked very beautiful when she first did them but they DO NOT LAST!!!! **************DO NOT DO BUSINESS HERE************************************** I had my nails done here exactly 5 weeks ago today! I had a full set done with "Holly". They have been off for about three weeks now and they still hurt me very much and are so sensitive. It hurts me to even pull a credit card out of my Wallet. The indentions are still very visible on my nails. I don't know how to explain it but a couple of them split horizontally while the nail tips were on top of them. This is probably from so much drilling on my natural nail and that's why they are very sensitive. I was charged $60 for this set with gel color that was so very old. The gel color was way thick and so tacky. At that point I should have changed my mind about the color but I was already running late for a meeting. On top of the terrible job & product. The lady was so rude! She talked in Vietnamese the whole time which I'm pretty sure she was talking about me to her coworker. No I'm not paranoid.I know few Vietnamese words. She only spoke to me two times to ask me shape of nails/color and of course when it was time to charge me for this terrible job and abuse. If I had more time I would have disputed the $60 for old gel color and no design on my nails. When in this business they should be able to tell you what they're gonna charge before they even start a job. She took advantage of me because I was pressed for time. So just be careful if you go and always ask who ever does your nails how much something will be. read more
