I wish I could rate my review one star. My experience was absouletly horrible. He cut me several of times and when I began to bleed he looked at me and said rudely "don't cry." I wanted a coffin shape but they came out absouletly horrible. The nails were extremely thick and lumpy. The guy was extremely rude to me the whole time and did not apologize once for his actions. Last weekend, I arrived in Vegas 2 days ahead of a company conference so I could get out and hike, and that I did!! My feet were in need of some TLC (after spending a lot of time inside hiking boots this summer, period), and on the Monday morning on the way from Summerlin to the Strip I luckily found Sweet Nails. The gentleman who did my pedicure not only did a great job - he was very knowledgeable about feet (not just a nail tech). I left knowing what I could do to 'heal' some of my toe nails as well as feeling well pampered, AND I paid a whole lot less than some of my coworkers did who had pedis near their hotels on the Strip. came to this shop seeing a promotional sign advertising their new opening under new management and got in right away unfortunately, this was probably my worst nail salon experience of my life. never have i ever had to come back into a salon and ask for a redo or my money back. thought it was an okay experience initially, but I'm not sure how a nail tech would let a client leave their station (let alone the store) with nails as bad as my sister's, AND HAPPILY EXCEPT A TIP ON TOP OF THAT!!!! my sister left in tears and nails looking all lumpy and it like dried cement was dripping off them. she was too embarrassed to even go back in. i wish I whoever taken a picture to show how bad her nails were but i was honestly too shocked and pissed we had to go back in immediately. i've never written a bad review or felt like I've had to, but the experience and service here was terrible. my nails alone needed to be reshaped by myself when i got home, weren't even taken off properly, and drilled down so much that my nail buds feel raw. i don't even want to give a star but for the sake of this post being submitted, i have to. would never go back or recommend anyone coming here after yesterday. The worst! I came in for a nail repair and specifically asked for a certain powder finish and they had no idea what I was talking about but told me to sit and pick a color anyway. The lady doing my nails didn't measure the tips or glue them on properly. The corners were lifted and longer than my nail bed. Then she couldn't even apply the acrylic herself. The only other guy working had to stop doing his customers nails to do my acrylics. Then she took back over to shape and paint them. They were messy and hideous. Looked nothing like the rest of my nails. And then she tried putting some random chrome on me saying it's not gonna be exactly the same. I said this is why I asked before hand, if you had the powder I'm looking for. The worst nails I've ever had and it was only 2 of them. I don't care about how much it would have been if it was good, but it wasn't even worth the measly $7. I ripped them off immediately & went somewhere else to fix what they did. read more

My preference is and has always been for the pink and whites over gels, despite many other salons trying to sell me on the latter, and I can now say I have now found my new permanent spot for getting them done with Paul at Sweet Nails. He has done them twice now and has never tried to argue or persuade me to try and go to the gels. He is super friendly and has always been very attentive in asking me every step of the way what my preference was and if I liked and/or I would like him to change his work. He really appreciates and embraces the fact that everyone has their own style and preference for what they would like their nails to look like-which is an amazing attitude that I wish all nail techs could learn! I came to Sweet Nails after another salon on Charleston and Buffalo that had initially won me over with a specific nail tech but later lied to me about him still working there to get me to come in and then stuck me with the awful head nail tech who could not read the colored powder label that read "dask" and assumed it said "dark" because I like the darkest pink on my nails. However, as Paul pointed out as well as many other people who said things like, "oh, how cute you got your nails to match Valentine's Day", "dask" is a dark red color and not pink. The color clearly did not match the dark pink that I had on previously and since he was just doing a simple fill you would think that he would have stopped and changed the color. I was so mad at the other nail tech that I had been lied to that I didn't care I just wanted him to finish and it would not take long before my nails were all lifting so that is when I looked on Yelp to find a new place once again. I am so lucky I found this place and Paul- he has been a god send. The salon is a good half an hour drive away from where I live but worth it. He was the first nail tech to tell me about fill unders, which cost a little bit more but spare you the pain of having to take off all of your nails and get a brand new set when you want the white to match your nail bed. This is a game changer for someone like myself who is a wuss and hates the process of removing these nails. Plus due to working in juvenile corrections I have several scars all over my hands and I don't like the way they look without nails so having a good nail tech that understands this and respects me for who I am and what I like is priceless. I would encourage people to consider who the people are as human beings that have written bad things about this salon and see if they had legitimate problems when they came in or if they are people that are impossible to please and expect the world to revolve around them because anyone that comes here to get their nails done will have to understand that these people do good work and they want every customer to be happy so sometimes that means if you don't have an appointment that you might have to wait 10 or 15 minutes because these are not the type of people that will rush through one customer just to chase that dollar and get to the next customer. And for me-that is one of the many reasons why I will keep coming back. read more
