Sweet Peaks gives me sweet cheeks! I love everything about this place. They're really enforcing social distancing and face masks- which I love! All ice cream is take out only, which is fine by me. The 2020 Summer menu is fantastic. It's so hard to choose just one, so I recommend getting several scoops, ha! My favorites include the salty caramel (available year round) and Going to Sun Road (only available on the Summer 2020 menu). So much yummy goodness packed into a cone! Let me tell you these employees are hard dedicated ice cream aficionados, so please be patient with them. The line gets long and wraps around the block but fear not the ice cream will not run out and there's always tomorrow for more ice cream! read more

Walking through downtown Whitefish, we happened across Sweet Peaks and had to try the Huckleberry flavored ice cream. Coming from California, I didn't even realize there was a huckleberry. It's similar to blackberry but sweeter. If you're a fan of that I would highly recommend you give Huckleberry a try! I also upgrade to a waffle cone that gave me captain crunch vibes. My friends and I loved the ice cream here! It was nice and warm inside and there were benches and a few tables and chairs to sit on. The flavors were pretty unique to the local area, especially the huckleberry flavor, which we were absolutely obsessed with!! There was only one woman running the store at the time and she was so sweet and let us samples several flavors and gave us suggestions based on what we liked. This is some of the best ice cream we have ever had. We come here multiple times every trip we make to Glacier. The huckleberry is great. My favorite is Griz Tracks and the Going to the Sun Road. Sadly, I never saw them have the Going to the Sun Road flavor in stock. My husband loves the Honey Cinnamon flavor, too. My mom loves their chocolate, too. This place is always busy, because it's delicious. They sell pints, too, but when we went the last time their pint freezer was broken. So we drove to the Kalispell store to get some pints to have at our cabin for later. read more

I visited twice in one day...need I say more? I love their creative flavors and I wish I stayed more days to be able to try additional flavors. The two girls who were working the night of 10/6 were super kind and were working hard to keep the place clean when there weren't any customers to serve. I feel like this is a place I'd normally really like (I am a MEGA ice cream fan), but I definitely had better ice cream (and service) while I was in the area. We actually came out of our way to come here because I love ice cream so much and saw Sweet Peaks pop up on my Yelp. I knew I wanted a scoop of Huckleberry ice cream during this trip. We were staying in Hungry Horse, MT so Whitefish was a 25 min drive for us. The location is in a really cute area-- I could see myself staying in Whitefish on another trip to the area. Inside the shop, there was a line, but it moves pretty fast. What disappointed me the most was the service. My sister ordered a huckleberry shake and the associate had the weirdest reaction. She just like stared at my sister like she was mentally processing the order and then was like "Ummmm....yeah ok" but said it in a way that it really wasn't okay that she ordered that. My sister immediately looked at me and we gave each other an eye of like "okay so I guess they don't want you to order milkshakes here?" I get that shakes take longer to make, but if you're gonna have attitude when people order them, then take them off the menu! I was also annoyed by the same girl who later took my order. She was scooping the ice cream into the cone and the cone cracked and a huge chunk of it fell off. She looked up at me and said "Do you want another cone?" Ummm DUH! I politely said "If you don't mind, yes." She turned around to get another cone and then stopped and said "Well I could always just put it in a cup for you too." If I wanted a cup of ice cream I would have ordered that. I was frustrated-- the line wasn't even that long and she acted like our orders were killing her. We went outside to eat our ice cream. There are only two picnic tables out there and luckily we snagged one. The ice cream was good, but not worth going out of the way for. I had another huckleberry cone inside Apgar Village that I liked better. The chocolate was unique- rich, more of a dark chocolate taste. It was good, but I prefer a milkier chocolate. I didn't enjoy the cone. They put something in it (cinnamon maybe?) that made the taste seem off to me. All told, I'd like to give the benefit of the doubt because we all have bad days. But to drive out of our way to come here and have the service be rude and the ice cream just okay...not worth really worth it. However, would give it a try if you're staying in Whitefish. read more

Sweet Peaks was so good we went two nights in a row! I had the Yeti Tracks, which is coconut ice cream with chocolate chips and cookies n' cream. Ahhh-mazing! Seriously, so good. My husband got the Campfire S'mores & Honey Cinnamon - both were good but the Honey Cinnamon was clearly his favorite since he got that flavor again the following night in a shake mixed with espresso. I wanted to try something different and the Grizzly Tracks were out :( I went with Salty Caramel and while it was still good, it wasn't Yeti Tracks good.
