How had I not written a review. I LOVE this place. I live in Atlanta and if only the people of…read moreMadison knew how LUCKY they were to have this in their downtown square. I have been here multiple times and it never fails to disappoint. A few of my favourite items are Baguette - MUST PURCHASE. One of the best even compared to many of the bakeries in Atlanta. Croissant - All are very good. Highly recommend Blueberry Fontaine - becoming another favourite. Better to eat the day of. They are usually sold out so I always try to snag them. Eclairs - another staple I've been getting. The filling is delicious AND Jam packed. I only wish they have a chocolate top with vanilla filling option but that's cause it's a nostalgic thing. Smore Tart - I love this but I usually have to share with because the chocolate is so dense. Keylime - another one I always get, just the perfect flavor. Honestly haven't had a bad thing there. Also the customer service person is always as enthusiastic as we are about the goods. There is no place to sit but you can go across the square and get a coffee and have a seat in the old gas station (I've been told the bakery owns that company too)

Given my love of eclairs, and after reading the reviews about this place, my adoptive family (wife…read moreand hubby) and I, finally got a chance to stop here. While I've had eclairs and tarts from several different Italian bakeries, and 3 stores, this is the first time I've had them from a French (these treats originated in France) bakery. Even though thel size is inline with the original classic eclair (had a bit less gauche), I was disappointed. And, much prefer the Italian version. Now, they had 4 different versions of eclairs (fruit, chocolate, vanilla and, coffee), along with many different tarts, with and without, fruit. I settled on 2 Chocolate Eclairs and, 1 Blueberry + Almond Fruit Tart. BAFT: While I liked it, it was nothing to write home about. I felt that there wasn't enough almond flavoring and, the crust was a bit dry. CEs: While it was packed with filling, I think, someone in the kitchen messed up, as there was a distinctive coffee taste (I don't like coffee), rather than just the custard or, vanilla taste. Had it not been for that, I would have given them 4 Stars. Why not 5? Well, I thought $6.00 (x2) and $7.00 each is a bit expensive. Especially, considering the size of the CEs and BAFT. For sure, I won't worry about a special trip here again. And, if we should stop here again, I doubt if I'd even bother with the eclairs (maybe a fruit one???).

I ordered like 60 cookies for my son and daughter in laws baby shower. The daughter in law had a…read moreclear idea of what she wanted. We had pictures if the cookies she wanted with the decorations on them and they were shown and emailed at the time the order was placed. We gave them several days in advance so if there were any issues they could be addressed in plenty of time. My daughter placed a deposit at the time the order was made. I think it was something like $70. When I went to pick up the cookies it was close to closing time on a Saturday (I think. If not it was Friday) I finished paying for the order which was about another $72. +/- As soon as I got home my daughter and daughter in law took one look at the cookies and said they did t want them. We never even opened the box . It was that noticeable. The designs looked as though a 1st grader had done them. I called the bakery... no answer. I left a detailed msg. As well as sending a msg via FB. No reply at all. It took me waiting the whole weekend to call and get a hold of someone. It was the owner/ husband. In short.. he would take them back and give me $70. Back. He said the deposit they had to keep. Said it was in the contract! WHAT CONTRACT?!?? Cause neither of us signed a contract. He wouldnt respond to me when I asked for a copy of that contract. I decided not to deal with him! After another day or so they ended up goat treats! All until I can take them to court. Thanks for reunion my grand Babys shower -jerks!!
