We used Sweet Roots for our wedding - they provided us with 14 buckets of beautiful wild flowers. We provided guidance on colors, the types of flowers we liked/didn't want and greenery and what we got in return absolutely exceeded our expectations. Perfect for our summer mountain wedding!

Deena was absolutely fabulous to work with and her flowers were stunning. The customer services was phenomenal and Deena was able to take my pinterest and rambling words and turn it into my dream vision board. Every detail was executed to perfection from the first meeting at the flower farm (I definitely recommend going if you can - so worth it!!), day of set up and afterwards take-down. We got married in Truckee / Tahoe so location was perfect. If you are going for boho/chic, look no further (though I know she can do it all)! 10/10 recommend

Deena and her team are beyond incredible!! She came highly recommended to us and exceeded our expectations!! We took advantage of her offer to visit her on her farm and got to see and, with her help, choose the flowers that we wanted. She built on the initial vision that we had and created the most amazing florals. We and our guests were in awe of the beauty and artistry of every arrangement, from the breathtaking Chuppa, to the most unusual and beautiful boutonnieres anyone had ever seen. Each one of the centerpieces, whether the greenery or the florals, was perfect.  Even the arrangement in the bathroom was unparalleled.  Deena is truly an artist and so, so wonderful to work with. 10000/10!!!

Deena/Sweet Roots Farm did the flowers for my wedding this past May. The flowers were exquisite and Deena was professional, responsive, organized, kind, and just very talented. She helped me from start to finish plan exactly what I wanted, asked great questions, offered tips on arrangements (I had my friend arrange bulk blooms), and delivered the flowers to our venue. She incorporated my favorite flowers of the season- peonies and daisies and so many other beautiful surprises! Deena was so enthusiastic and supportive the whole way through. Thanks for making my wedding-flower-dreams come true. Don't miss a chance to support this beautiful woman and business.

We worked with sweet roots farm and they were fantastic from start to finish. They brought my vision to life and the flowers were stunning. Everyone we met were wonderful to work with. I could not recommend more for your special day!

Deena and team are the BEST!!!! Wow wow wow is all I can say. They made our wedding incredibly magical. We were so happy to work with someone so thoughtful and caring. Everything - all bouquets, arrangements and more - were gorgeous. It was such a joy to know that we had flowers that were grown locally. I had requested a French-style, colorful bouquet and Sweet Roots nailed it. Deena was so wonderful to work with, too. I would definitely recommend them to anyone! Thank you, Deena and team!

Deena is an absolute dream! The entire process from start to finish was beautiful. We had to change our entire wedding plans due to COVID about a month before the ceremony and she handled everything with poise and grace. Not only is Deena an amazing floral designer and farmer but she's also so creative. She met with me to discuss my vision, sent over a vision board and even recommended photographers to match my aesthetic. Our flowers were the most gorgeous and even cooler - they were grown and picked FOR US - not flown in from somewhere out of state. Highly recommend Deena to bring your vision to life. Thank you!

I can't speak highly enough about Deena and Sweet Roots Farm. For my wedding she provided centerpieces, boutonnieres, small bouquets, loose flowers, and my flower crown. I only realized after the wedding that she's an organic farmer which made my esteem for her (and her prices!) rise even more. She's professional, super friendly, organized, a great communicator and incredibly talented at arrangements. Deena listened to my ideas and interpreted them perfectly. From my end it was tricky to explain everything I wanted because I couldn't find a picture that captured the look. So we reviewed lots of different photos where I pointed out the aspects I liked in each. She explained all the flowers available for the season and was such a great communicator that I really felt I was in safe hands. I totally was. She was very generous with her time and advice from the initial consultation to perfecting the flower crown on the wedding day (not that it needed improvement, it actually made me cry it was so beautiful, but it needed slight trimming here and there when we saw it with my hair). When she delivered the flowers I was so overwhelmed that my vision was there in front of me. Her arrangements and flower crown were works of art. So delicate and effortless but also powerful and stunning. I don't know how she did it. I HOPE I can work with her again.

Working with Deena was a joy! She always responded quickly and worked to help me create a vision for our flowers that I didn't even know I had. On top of that, she created floral arrangements for our wedding that perfectly captured what I would have imagined if I could have envisioned flowers that perfect! As if that wasn't enough, Deena bought our flowers up to Tahoe, delivered my bouquet to me, then went to my husband's location to pin on his boutonniere, before going to the site and setting up the rest of our flowers. Thank you so much for sharing your gift and kindness with us on our wedding day! Deena, I'm sorry I waited so long to post my review. I just wanted to have pictures to show why you are a 5 star florist.

We tried a variety of burgers and thought they were just OK but not worth the crowds and 30 minute wait. Chicken pot pies are very good but the beef has some odd seasoning/spice that didn't work for us. The chocolate truffle pie was way too sweet and the key lime was just OK (not enough lime flavor). Definitely want to try more fruit pies as that is the way to go (makes total sense at a fruit stand). The homemade dips and spreads they offer in the market are also all delish (samples are available too). Bottom line.... we will grab our berry pie/s, maybe a chicken pot pie, definitely a dip or 2 + some market items but we'll skip the burger/restaurant crowds. Loved it so much more when it was a not so crowded local fave but good for the Ikeda family. Congrats!!

It's really busy and hectic but they are very efficient and we found plenty of available seating to enjoy our food. I got the tasty bacon burger and my husband the TRI-Tip sandwich. We loved both. They put some kind of delicious spice blend on the burger that made it so so delish! and the sandwich was super generous with a side of au-jus. It's not fancy but it hit the spot for a quick road trip spot. We didn't browse too much around the store but there were tons of people shopping and buying their award winning pies. Wish we lived closer! Highly recommended.

They do wholesale to businesses and also sell retail to people like you and me! They offer sourdough in loafs, sliced bread, and rolls. I am sure much more, but I have not actually been to their retail store. I was gifted a loaf of sliced sourdough and muffins. Ohhhh my!! It was delicious!!! What I like is their simplicity. They use freshly milled unbleached flour, sea salt, and water. I don't like when companies use "enriched" flour. With clean ingredients and no preservatives, it will not last as long so enjoy it while it is fresh!!! Fast forward, I am shopping in the Nugget grocery store and I found the Truckee sourdough breads!! Woo Hoo!! SCORE!!!

It's probably the best bread that I've found in the Carson Valley and that's even taking Schat's and other local bakeries into account. This bread makes a great grilled cheese sandwich, cheese toast, or just a regular Sammy. I prefer the regular sourdough over their whole wheat bread, and haven't yet had the opportunity to enjoy their full loaves or buns. There are a few negatives, which takes this review down a notch to 4 Stars. - It's expensive as it's going for $6.99 a loaf. - The loaf has less preservatives (which is good), but that means that mold may appear sooner than expected. Hence, I do my duty in consuming this bread in a timely manner. - Uneven QA (see Picture). The last loaf had thinner slices and various holes within. And this is not the first time. I actually sent a that picture (and another) to the Company and haven't heard back yet. At this price, I expect better. Note: Trader Joes sells a reasonable alternative loaf for a couple dollars less.

He looked at me and another guy and said "who was here first". We both stated I was there first and I started to say that I wanted to order a turkey sandwich. As I was doing so, he stated to the other guy "what are you getting, I'll get that started". Nice gesture to the other guy. Then, I completed my sandwich request form and put it exactly where the young man told me to. Behind a few others walked up, completed their sandwich request form and placed them next to mine. One by one, other sandwich request were completed until myself and someone else asked about my sandwich. It was only after a white lady was in unison with me and asked about my sandwich, did someone take my sandwich request form and completed it. Oh! Did I mention that most everyone else there was white in color? As i finally received my sandwich, I went to the self checkout to pay for my sandwich. After I paid for my sandwich, there was a lady there by the name of Terri. I asked Terri if there was a manager that I could speak to. Terri immediately stated "I'm a manager". I told her my complaint and Terri immediately stated I was lying. Not only that Terri asked me "did you pay for that"? As I had my sandwich in hand, I stated "yes, I paid for this, here is my receipt". I've shopped Raley's and Bel Air for years. I am a loyal customer and have been for a very long time. This was actually my 2nd stop of the trip. The first stop was in Fairfield at Lowes. Another solid stop. As I was driving to Pedrick I made a mental note to myself of what I could get that was useful. I wrote on my list onions as they are only 89 cents for the yellow ones and a great deal. Also on the list were their pork tamales for a quick lunch when I got back. As it turns out when I got home my husband thought the same thing and stopped at McDonalds and got me a fish sandwich so I wan't wanting for food when I got home. Good thing we now have tamales ($2.89 each) for dinner. That's one less meal I have to plan. Lastly the most tasty and pricy purchase was going to be fresh strawberries. I got 3 baskets for $9.99 or close to that. I had some when I got home and they are more tasty than the ones in the grocery store. Though they aren't as good as the ones at the woodland Strawberry festival. Maybe I'm buying them off season. I was here July 15, 2026 around 12:30pm. On my way out I noticed the half price items on the cart out front. Lots of items were 99 cents or half off. You're not sure of the regular price so I wasn't sure if it would still be a good deal or not as could we actually eat that much. I picked up a bag of 2 heads/stalks of broccoli and a bag of zucchini, maybe 7 in the bag. I first took my haul to the car before checking out again. As it turns out the Broccoli and Zucchini were under $2 together. What a deal. The Tamales have gotten better. They have a new supplier and now there is less masa and more filling. They started off good, then they went really went down hill fast. They were all masa and little filling. It was really bad and we stopped buying them. We I saw they were packaged differently I inquired if they had a new supplier and the said yes, someone more local, I forgot exactly where they said they were from. We gave these new tamales a try and were happily surprised. The price over the years has really gone up in price too. The bathrooms are a great relief. This is a perfect stop for us on our way to and from the bay. They have 2 plumbed bathrooms and 2 outhouses. I had to use the outhouse last time as we got there before they opened and they were still cleaning the bathrooms after they opened. It wasn't that bad. The cleaning truck was just pulling away when I used the port o potty so I wasn't the first user after they cleaned it. I am just thankful that they have bathrooms and you don't have to make a purchase to use them. Tortillas are the best here. They are locally made and we love them. So much better than ones they sell at Raley's. Even though they are homemade they still last a while without going moldy. We've never had them mold on us. With the great deals on produce, great tortillas, and the bathroom situation we will continue to make this our stop. Between the two of us we are here nearly every week so we are always well stocked in produce and tortillas.
