I cannot in good faith recommend this business to anyone especially a bride. I live out of town and came by the shop 3x and texted photos of the bouquet I wanted for my wedding. I specifically asked for ZERO greenery and sent in pictures of bouquets with zero greenery and there was about 50% greenery. I also asked and sent photos that I wanted a more flat bouquet and it was round. To top it off I provided them with ribbon I wanted used as well as a picture and the ribbon was not used because they said my white satin ribbon would not look good. My bouquet was picked up right before my first look and my family had to fix my bouquet and tie ribbon onto my bouquet. There was zero apologies from the owner and she blamed her daughter for not wanting to tie the ribbon. read more

We live in Las Vegas NV. My granddaughter was admitted to Sutter Auburn Faith Hospital with pneumonia in both lungs. Their own gift shop was closed but suggested and referred me to Petals and Sweets. I called them and spoke to the owner explaining my situation. I was interested in a silly stuffed animal. She texted me immediately pictures of her animal collection. I picked one out- and cost of item and delivery was most reasonable. I told her that I would call back in the morning and place the order. I was told by my son, that my granddaughter would most likely be in the hospital for several days! SURPRISE!!!! The next morning her condition had drastically improved and she was marked for release. I hurried and placed my order again talking to the store owner. She was now aware of the soon to be release. SURPRISE!!!! Within 15 minutes my son announced they had released my GD ... I called the store panicked. Because the owner had no drivers yet for delivery, she herself, personally delivered my gift .... Straight to my GD's room. The owner dropped everything, closed her business to deliver a goofy colored bird for a total stranger living in Las Vegas! If that's not exceptional care, service and kindness nothing is. If anyone reading this book needs flowers, gifts, candies delivered in this shop's area...... you'll be delighted you gave your business to Petals and Sweets. read more

Had a huge Zinnia flower crop and called multiple florists in the area. Some were quite dismissive and treated the flowers as if they were sub par. See the photos attached. These are beautiful flowers by any standard. Nadine was the first to say she would love some with excitement and kindness in her voice. She followed through and is now a loyal buyer. Petals & Sweets did an absolute perfect job in delivering in a timely matter a 'pick me up' for a dear friend. Even though we are 6171 miles away in Croatia, I had a friend in Auburn going through a tough time in her life. My husband says "Let's send flowers!" It was quite easy to go onto the website, scroll through many selections and pick out what we wanted. You can also customize even a pre-designed arrangement. The arrangement was beautiful (my friend sent a photo and she loved it!). The service also included a personalized card written exactly how we wanted our message expressed. Thank you as the words were very much needed to be exact as we requested. The other positive is they followed our delivery instructions exactly as they needed to call first due to a gated entrance. I also liked that an email was sent to me to let me know my order has been delivered. That is always appreciated when you are in a different country in a different time zone and you need to know about an order you placed over the internet! Overall a very good experience. I would definitely recommend Petals & Sweets, a long time local Auburn business! To be a balanced review, I do have to state that an extra $9.99 "Standard Service Fee" was added to my invoice. I don't believe that should have been charged on top of a $9.50 Delivery Fee charge. Wow. I am shocked on how much they charged for a centerpiece to my future in-laws. $117 for a crap centerpiece with only six roses and about 80% greenery. Not to mention it was delivered a DAY LATE. Thanks for the horrible communication. My mother called again because we never received a confirmation of it was delivered the day we requested. Left a voicemail almost two hours ago after they closed and BOOM it was delivered to their door recently. And it's not just about what flowers they use if they have to substitute, it's about the actual structure of the arrangement. Husband got me an expensive bouquet. The next day they were already dying. The leaves had bite marks out of them. Called to ask about the roses and was told they would be delivered to replace the dead ones and nothing. My Safeway roses he bought lasted a whole week and half. I spent way too much on a crappy casket bouquet for my grandpas funeral. We were charged over $700 and the casket spray was so crappy the funeral home actually called us to advise it's horrific condition prior to us seeing it. They had to pull out some dying flowers and tried to pretty it up as much as they could. Obviously such a sad situation to be few gouged for a once-in-a-lifetime event you can never redo My grandpa, a veteran, should have been honored, instead we were ripped off. The actual picture I sent to the florist is attached, showing a much cheaper price (we paid $350 +tax for a "much fuller" version which we were promised would be "jaw dropping"). The other portion of the $730 we paid in total was for 8 table arrangements...as you can also see below. I ordered flowers to be delivered to our elderly Aunt in Grass Valley for her birthday. The delivery person left the flowers in the vase outside of the unlocked gate to her house and did not call her to tell her they had been delivered. I had supplied her number, so she should have been told they had been left unattended out in the open for anyone traveling down the road to see. Late in the afternoon, I got a text that they'd been delivered, but they did not say where they were left. I called my Aunt, and it was getting dark so she could not go check to see where they were. She found them there this morning after sitting all night in freezing temperatures. Fortunately they were still in decent condition. I think you need to work on your customer service and communication with your customers! I won't be back. read more

Extremely disappointed in the customer service especially when you are talking with the Owner! After around 15-20 emails back and forth and arguing with the owner she at first offered half our money back the order was over $100. I asked her to please give us a refund for misrepresentation and the fact the flowers were just thrown together and didn't last but 2 days. I don't think they are honest or forthcoming and they misrepresent themselves. It was our mothers birthday and I picked out a holiday bouquet it was beautiful. What she received was nothing like the photo posted on their website. The bouquet had 1 white 1 red carnation and 3 small red roses and rest were larger droopy ferns. Looked like it was thrown together. I could had got something better at Raleys for much cheaper. Please save your money and go across the street. First I am completely shocked by some of these negative reviews . Here's my experience .. I had an out-of-state friend order me flowers for my birthday.. I had a missed call that they were delivered and on my front doorstep, they called me to let me know that they were there. When I got home there were no flowers. unfortunately they were delivered to the address my friend gave petal and sweets ( not their fault) They are based out of Auburn California and I live in Orangevale California.. After returning their phone call , I spoke with Nadine she was willing to go pick the flowers up and Bring them to me. My husband and I decided to pick the flowers up that evening but I must say, what great customer service and also I will save the arrangement was beautiful. I just ordered my wife some flowers for our anniversary and I was a little bit lost but once I found this company they have a really easy app that walks you through everything you need to be able to make sure your love one is getting spoiled. First of all Petals and Sweets called me and canceled this order and the day before Mother's day so I couldn't possible have enough time to get my daughter a Mother's day bouquet for Mother's day and the lady on the phone was rather cold about the cancellation. Ordered on the 11th enough time so she could receive by mothers day. Will give same review on Yelp advising not to order from Petals and Sweets because of mismanagement and for not notifying customer in a timely manner or just saying they don't deliver to a certain address at the time of the order. Thanks for ruining Mother's day for my daughter and I Petals and Sweets!!!!! My advice, DON'T USE PETALS AND SWEETS FOR YOUR FLOWER NEEDS BECAUSE THEY WILL LET YOU DOWN. I needed something out of the ordinary, and Nadine was absolutely amazing. I needed a blooming perennial that could be planted outside in the garden - to represent hope and rebirth. Even though she didn't have anything like this, Nadine went to the greenhouse, took pictures of candidate plants, sent them to me, then went back, bought the plant, made it beautiful and added some beautiful chocolates to the delivery. My friend is absolutely thrilled and I absolutely could not have done this without Nadine's willingness to go far, far beyond what could ever have been expected or even asked. THANK YOU SO MUCH! Mickey E. (store employee) does not have all of the facts. By the way, the current owner's name is Saleh M. Elkarany (perhaps related to Mickey E.?) Got that information from Placer County where I obtained paperwork to file small claims suit. First of all I never received an apology, only excuses placing the blame on the driver. The owner went so far as to say "the other people didn't complain, but that's because they're Buddhists." Really, what does that have to do with anything? The "free" bouquet (appx value $35-40) is the one that was supposed to go to the other church where my $100 red, white and blue spray to honor my Veteran husband was inadvertently delivered. I visited the florist on Monday and was told by the owner that I couldn't get a refund after two days and that she would give me only 1/2 back. I did not have the flowers with me at the time because I had been in Roseville on a 100+ degree day for a medical emergency. I said I'd bring them in the next day and she said that was too late. I called later in the day about the 'full refund policy' on their website and the owner told me that was only for FTD orders. So because I came in person, paid in cash and ordered out of the books on their counters, there's no guarantee. The fact is even if they were late in arriving, had they shown up at 9:50 a.m. with the flowers I had specifically selected for my husband's service, I would have had no complaint and none of this would be happening. read more

Went into to get flowers today. I had my mask on. When I walked in there were 6-8 people standing no more than 2 feet apart, none of whom had masks. When I said I was surprised no one was wearing masks a woman told me I could take mine off if I wanted. I said that wasn't the point, that I was surprised no one else was. I received flowers for my birthday. The sender paid extra for delivery before noon. They finally arrived at 6:20 pm. After the sender having to argue with the owner the extra delivery charge was grudgingly refunded. This owner does not like to apologize for her short comings. The flower shop owner called me the next day and was very aggressive about the delivery with me, the receiver. She should never have called me, she should have called sender. My number was never given on any order form, it is private, so I don't know how she got it. The flowers were almost 7 hours past the final delivery time. I did mention that a few branches of flowers were wilted with crispy leaves. She said they were supposed to be like that. I said, "I have to respectfully disagree, you can't see the head of the flowers and the leaves are dried up, crispy. She then started yelling, yes literally yelling at me and berating me for not knowing what flowers should like because,"I am the owner!". Back to the delivery: She said the flowers were dropped off with the front doorman on time. That is a huge lie because I don't have a a doorman. I have a home with no paid staff. She was trying to say the flowers were on time, presumably to try and recover the, "early delivery fee", from the sender. Maybe the flowers were wilted upon delivery was because they rode around in a delivery vehicle all day? So I did some research on the wilted flowers that she called Mosimatos. They are really Matsumoto flowers, I matched the pictures to my wilted ones. I would have thought the owner of a flower shop would know how to pronounce the name. My flower branches were literally dead compared to ALL the internet photos. She told my they were supposed to have the heads hanging upside down with crispy leaves because "they are funny little flowers" . I tried to explain even clearer how they looked. She accused me of calling her a lier. Since she was now in a full out yell into the phone. I told her if she wouldn't listen she must be lying. She then told me to through away the flowers I don't like." That means my friend would have paid for flowers that belonged in the trash. All the flowers are crushed to some extent. The bouquet looks NOTHING like the flowers that were supposed to be delivered. The colors are totally different. The side view of this order on the website shown 7 regular size roses. This is on one side only . There are 2 regular sized roses in the entire bouquet, and they have crush marks all over the petals. These dead flowers were not supposed to be in this bouquet at all. I think they forgot to make this order, even though they had the order a day in advance. When they got the phone call that the order was at least 7 hours late, they threw together left over flowers from the day and delivered them. The following is the description from the website: "light orange roses, orange spray roses, hot pink carnations, pink Matsumoto asters, clear glass vase." The flowers received are: 2 yellow roses, coral spray roses, dark purple dead Matsumoto asters, 3 dark magenta carnations, lots of purple status filler flowers, lots of limonium white filler, lots of fern filler. There was to be no purple in this bouquet at all . The picture on the website shown very little filler, mostly large beautiful flowers. This woman kept yelling like she was being chased by a mountian lion at me that I was "rude". She called me the receiver, not the one who placed the order, basically accusing me of lying about the delivery time which is time stamped on the text my husband sent to the sender as to when the delivery arrived. I was trained to de escalate situations for my line of work in education and the yelling wasn't stopping from her long enough to listen to reason. I finally hung up on her. So, what started as a beautiful thought from a friend resulted in a very upsetting event. I wish I able to show you "ordered" and "received" photos because you would be stunned. I urge you to never even consider this business, unless you want to pay for dead flowers, have your delivery late, and then get yelled at and be called names. I know I don't want to pay for that experience. read more
