Oh my gosh, perfection! What a hidden gem. Amanda and Chloe both welcomed us in and were so charming and helpful. My friend and I both had the Cream Tea with the 4 scones, their whipped butter, house made lemon curd, mini *but delicious* biscotti freshly made and we each had a mini (but max on flavor) cupcake with our own chosen pot of tea. We couldn't eat another bite. But if we wanted, the case was full of delicious temptations. And as we left, I was given a choice of my own bdy cupcake. I'm just still so disappointed with this bakery for a number of reasons. 1.) Last Friday I planned on surprising my best friend with a heart shape cake with vintage frosting. I was unaware that if you add another layer to the cake, for some reason it automatically changes the shape to square. I have no idea why. The dark brown hair woman that's works Friday mornings responded "oh yeah you know those dang computers have a mind of their own sometimes." No. Fix your computer system. I don't know if it was your system or if it was shop that change my order but that made me so sad. 2.) More importantly, when placing the order online your website it asks if I'd like to leave a note. It also asks on top of that if we would like to leave any additional notes. I specifically noted requesting if they could add a specific decoration and if they were unable to do so or had any questions to please contact me. They never contacted me so I assumed it was done how I requested. It was not. My pick up was at 10am and I called over the phone because I never got a confirmation email that it was ready. And when I was speaking to the woman over the phone, I asked if the decoration was done and she said that they saw the note, but they were unable to do so. I wish they contacted me because I would've bought specific decorations elsewhere to make the cake look the way I was hoping. Regardless tho, was the cake still acceptable: I guess. Taste: 7/10 bc it was a little dry. Overall I am just very disappointed with how the situation was handled. I believe that since I left my number, if there were any questions at all, they should've contacted me. And I don't appreciate the woman over the counter blaming technology. I used to order all my heart shaped cakes from Sweet Scape but I will not be coming back here due to my last experience. I ordered online 1-2 weeks in advance for a white red velvet cake. When you order online it takes you from the Sweet Scape website to Shop payment, maybe something happened there because when I arrived to the store the cake was blank. I asked for them to quickly write the word on top & was told, "you need to write a note next time" I told them yes, I definitely did, I'm not sure why it's not showing on their end. She takes the cake and writes what is shown in the picture below. This is unacceptable..the word is spelled wrong and a 5 year old could've written it better. I nicely ask her to redo it to be more like the inspo pic - she then takes the cake, slams it on the counter and then begins to mock me to her coworker. The ginger employee shows me finished product and says, "Is this better hun? Next time there's a section to write a note." I tell her yes thanks and that again I did write a note. When I go to turn, she says "no you didn't" and then tells me she has other cake orders and I need to relax in front of everyone. This is a tiny shop and it was embarrassing to yelled at in front of ppl there. I've never been talked to like that in my life and it was very degrading. I spoke to the owner and he was apologetic but honestly I doubt there were any repercussions as I kept being told I need to write note. I understand that it's frustrating - I definitely wrote a note since this was an engagement party but regardless I'm paying $140 for the cake if I asked for a WORD that takes 2 mins to write..it shouldn't be met with all this attitude. I will not be returning and am giving two stars due to previous experiences. read more

I enjoyed my time for afternoon tea but the quality of the sandwiches weren't really it- and it was a strange selection I would have preferred better savory options! The desserts and scones were so good though! The service wasn't great either the lady just stared at me when we approached- didn't ask if we needed help and hardly filled our cups with water- which was lukewarm. My mom and I came in because we wanted to do a tea date. I looked online and saw they take walkins and offer tea time. I tried to see if I could book a time but wasn't successful. We decided to walk in as the website mentions. First, we struggled to find the place because maps shows a different spot. the sign for this place says 21 cakes on it, confusing but whatever. We came in around 3:30/3:45ish (they close at 5) and asked for afternoon tea. The lady at the counter, who was very kind and polite, told us she couldn't offer us tea services because it was too close to close. She said we could purchase some of the components of the tea service separately (?) so we chose to do that. We each got one (fairly large) cup of tea, a scone each and a coconut passionfruit cupcake to share. Tea was good, ambiance was nice, service was good. I appreciate the wide tea selection. However, the scones weren't great and the cupcake was disappointing too. She told us it was a coconut cupcake with the passion fruit in the middle. I thought this meant the middle of the cupcake, nope, just the small glob on top of the plain coconut cupcake. Bill ended up more expensive than afternoon teas I've gone to at nicer places that included the full teatime service (entire pot of tea, sandwiches and multiple treats). This was our second year in a row visiting Sweet Scape for their holiday tea, and it's officially become a tradition. This time we brought a party of seven -- my daughters and a few friends -- and everyone left completely delighted.! The prices are very reasonable, the scones and sandwiches are delicious, and the cupcakes and treats are divine (truly, do not skip the desserts!). The shop itself is absolutely adorable inside, small and cozy, which just adds to the charm. They even provide a lovely gluten free option. Highly recommend making a reservation for tea since the space is intimate, but we will definitely be back again. SweetScape is such a gem! read more

Service was nice. I really loved the Cowboy Cookie that they had. It was perfectly chewy and not hard. I loved that cookie. The scones were not as good as I had hoped. I came in Sweet Scape just to browse around after lunch at Wildbread. The ambiance is inviting and the decor is so pretty, I can't wait to come back for tea time when my girls are a little older. For take out I got the lemon blueberry cupcake and the carrot cake one. Cupcakes are not my favorite, since they usually are overloaded with cloying sweet frosting and nothing else. These were not the case! They were not too sweet and fresh and delicately made, like a a true European dessert. The lemon blueberry one had curd filling and fresh blueberries, what a surprise! The carrot cake one was also a hit with fresh carrots, loads of nuts, and a hint of spice. I had some specific questions about the ingredients and frostings, and the young lady in the front was helpful and knowledgeable. I think I saw the owner (?) on the back decorating a custom cake.
