    Afternoon tea
    Tabitha S.

I enjoyed my time for afternoon tea but the quality of the sandwiches weren't really it- and it was a strange selection I would have preferred better savory options! The desserts and scones were so good though! The service wasn't great either the lady just stared at me when we approached- didn't ask if we needed help and hardly filled our cups with water- which was lukewarm. Overall I feel like it's only worth $35 not $60

Great job on this custom hot dog birthday cake with vanilla cake and vanilla frosting with cream cheese filling. So delicious and moist.

A charming spot to grab some sweet treats. The service is good and the decor is so cute! They had three vegan cookie options the day I visited; but no vegan cupcakes. My cookie was delicious so that alone will have me returning.

My mom and I came in because we wanted to do a tea date. I looked online and saw they take walkins and offer tea time. I tried to see if I could book a time but wasn't successful. We decided to walk in as the website mentions. First, we struggled to find the place because maps shows a different spot. the sign for this place says 21 cakes on it, confusing but whatever. We came in around 3:30/3:45ish (they close at 5) and asked for afternoon tea. The lady at the counter, who was very kind and polite, told us she couldn't offer us tea services because it was too close to close. She said we could purchase some of the components of the tea service separately (?) so we chose to do that. We each got one (fairly large) cup of tea, a scone each and a coconut passionfruit cupcake to share. Tea was good, ambiance was nice, service was good. I appreciate the wide tea selection. However, the scones weren't great and the cupcake was disappointing too. She told us it was a coconut cupcake with the passion fruit in the middle. I thought this meant the middle of the cupcake, nope, just the small glob on top of the plain coconut cupcake. Bill ended up more expensive than afternoon teas I've gone to at nicer places that included the full teatime service (entire pot of tea, sandwiches and multiple treats). The place was super cute but I'm not sure I'd go again.

All the table setting pieces are beautiful!

This was our second year in a row visiting Sweet Scape for their holiday tea, and it's officially become a tradition. This time we brought a party of seven -- my daughters and a few friends -- and everyone left completely delighted.! The prices are very reasonable, the scones and sandwiches are delicious, and the cupcakes and treats are divine (truly, do not skip the desserts!). The shop itself is absolutely adorable inside, small and cozy, which just adds to the charm. They even provide a lovely gluten free option. Highly recommend making a reservation for tea since the space is intimate, but we will definitely be back again. SweetScape is such a gem!

Omg!! I'm so excited to be the first to review this place. My best friend and I did the tea time ($55) and it was wonderful!!! Our waitress Jade was very kind. They have a great tea selection and the decor is beautiful! This is the perfect girls day! We also met Mary Beth (I think was her name, so sorry if I'm wrong about this). Anyways on google it's known as either "21 cupcakes" or sweetscape bakery tea room. I was able to email them to book our tea time and they got back really fast! The food and desserts were yummy and they were so nice about us staying for a long time (we did go on a Friday) anyways this bakery is adorable and I'd totally come back!:) it's the closest tea room to me it's nice to have one in Scottsdale

Owner called me "dear" four times in 4 minutes. Im not your grandson lady. Name on the shop is incorrect. Chocolate chip cookie was decent, but not worth 5 bucks.

I used to order all my heart shaped cakes from Sweet Scape but I will not be coming back here due to my last experience. I ordered online 1-2 weeks in advance for a white red velvet cake. When you order online it takes you from the Sweet Scape website to Shop payment, maybe something happened there because when I arrived to the store the cake was blank. I asked for them to quickly write the word on top & was told, "you need to write a note next time" I told them yes, I definitely did, I'm not sure why it's not showing on their end. She takes the cake and writes what is shown in the picture below. This is unacceptable..the word is spelled wrong and a 5 year old could've written it better. I nicely ask her to redo it to be more like the inspo pic - she then takes the cake, slams it on the counter and then begins to mock me to her coworker. The ginger employee shows me finished product and says, "Is this better hun? Next time there's a section to write a note." I tell her yes thanks and that again I did write a note. When I go to turn, she says "no you didn't" and then tells me she has other cake orders and I need to relax in front of everyone. This is a tiny shop and it was embarrassing to yelled at in front of ppl there. I've never been talked to like that in my life and it was very degrading. I spoke to the owner and he was apologetic but honestly I doubt there were any repercussions as I kept being told I need to write note. I understand that it's frustrating - I definitely wrote a note since this was an engagement party but regardless I'm paying $140 for the cake if I asked for a WORD that takes 2 mins to write..it shouldn't be met with all this attitude. I will not be returning and am giving two stars due to previous experiences.

The pastries looked super aesthetic and tasted fresh without being overly sweet. Their cakes and drinks paired really well together too.

I had seen her work on the Food Network and fell in love with her online portfolio as well. Her treats are DELICIOUS! Once COVID hit and we had to do a date change from March to November, she was patient, accommodating and worked with us for the new date. She even put the toppers that I purchased on the cupcakes for me, as well as leaving some topless so I could frost specific cupcakes for my husband with the special type of frosting he loves. Definitely try something of hers, you won't be disappointed!

We learned upon arriving it is now called Lilibet's Cakery and English Tea Room (although the sign out front still says 21 Cupcakes). Two pairs of customers were inside enjoying a classic afternoon tea when we arrived, which looked lovely. The vibes are so adorable inside this tea room. I would definitely come back to the patio for tea time. This seems like a great place for a cute date, friend meetup, or princess tea. The staff person who helped us select our cupcakes was very nice, and she explained each of the choices of the cupcakes so we would know which cake was inside. Two of our party were interested in the Chocolate Chocolate with only one cupcake remaining, and she said she could help us by pipping one fresh from the back. The cupcakes are so tasty and not overly sweet cakes. I like just a tad more sugary cake, but my partner was delighted by the taste. The chocolate icing was delicious (mine was a yellow cake with chocolate icing). My mom's one disappointment she mentioned when we got in the car to bring them home was, "Those are much smaller than they used to be." She likes a bigger cupcake than their current larger size. I thought they were a decent medium size, but the birthday girl wanted a bit more cupcake on her special day, especially since they used to be larger when it was called 21 Cupcakes. Next time, I would order her two. I also liked the idea of the tiny cupcakes so you could try more flavors, so next time I visit, I would maybe consider 2-3 tiny ones to try over a few days. They also had a lot of cookies I took a photo of that looked yummy, but we did not try any. Definitely give Lilibet's a try for a sweet treat in Scottsdale!

They have floral wallpaper and flowers everywhere inside, along with the cutest lights. Even the bathroom was sweetly decorated. It is a casual, busy little tea room in a strip mall with plenty of parking. Along with tea being served and customers coming in to purchase beautiful cupcakes and cakes there were also quite a few curious people looking in. Lillibet's has the nicest people serving tea. Very friendly and yet not dominating the tea conversation. Because of the size of the tea room you definitely hear the other people so the experience can depend on the others inside. They offer a variety of teas and on this visit they had seasonal teas as well, which we both chose. I had a gingerbread tea that was very complex and interesting and my tea mate had plum cider and found it unusual but tasty. The three tier tea treats were composed of a variety of sandwiches, four scones, beautiful cupcakes, chocolate covered strawberries, cookies, and macarons. Everything was tasty and neither of us could finish it all so they gave us the cutest little take home boxes. Since we were celebrating a birthday I had also ordered a cake ahead of time to take home. The vintage heart cake was beautiful and delicious with icing that was lovely but not too sweet at all. Their web site is filled with all of the beautiful cakes they make. A great treat place!

I have been wanting to come here to see for myself if the goods are worth it, and they most definitely are!! There's seating indoors, but not a lot of tables, so you may have to just take your order to go. The line was moving pretty fast and we came around 11 in hopes that we would catch the special collaboration sandwich made possible by Loco Style Grindz and J.L. Patisserie. Thank you, Instagram for the heads up on the collab! We were so relieved to see there were 2 left when we got there. The employee asked if we wanted them heated up, and we said yes please! Of course, I had to grab some sweets for later and my friend chose the Lemon Meringue Pie for her birthday treat. I like the packaging and that there are multiple staff members to assist with checking out customers. We thoroughly enJOYed the sandwiches and the amount of pork in them was filling! They weren't stingy, and they were packing that smokey flavor! The sandwich kept me full for hours! Our drinks were refreshing and had just the right amount of sweetness! I love that they have a variety of baked goods to choose from including various quiches, muffins and specialty items. The air conditioning may have been broken because it was pretty warm inside. The tables are a tad small for two people, but we made it work. I will definitely return soon. The ambiance is super casual and prices are average. You will get your money's worth, that's for sure!
