Tried three slices: apple, peach, and silk chocolate. Really nice that they offer slices--it's a great way to sample different flavors without committing to a whole pie. The crust on the fruit pies felt a bit underbaked--we prefer a flakier, more golden finish. The fillings were fine but didn't wow us. This is an update to my last review about Piefection. It's great little bakery in north Scottsdale. They make excellent pies that are just amazing. Only downside is these pies are a little pricey. Overall I love this place its great bakery with a wide selection of sweet and savory pies on the menu. The chocolate silk pie and banana cream pie are my favorites. I am sorry to say, but these pies are awful! Not sure why I keep trying different flavors...key lime has no lime flavor, lemon meringue tastes like pledge, and the sour cream pies, no bueno. I've never heard of sour cream pies and it was like the middle of a cheese danish and all mushy. The crust does not have that homemade buttery goodness flavor either. Pie is my fav dessert and definitely not from this shop. I go out of my way for good pie (Black canyon and pie snob). It's so sad because I live so close! read more

I always wanted to try Piefection they were present at the Power Food Truck Park. The lines were always really long. I noticed their signage off to the left and I b-lined for their shop. Wow is all I can say! They have pies everywhere... pies to the left and pies to the right.... and pies in the back. There are pie slices they offer and whole pies to go. There are sweet and some plays on savory one too. Oh I almost forgot they have mini ones too! I purchased a mini strawberry rhubarb pie and a slice of their pumpkin sour cream. The gal working the front of the house was really friendly and knowledgeable. As soon as I got into my car I broke open the slice of pumpkin sour cream. It was really good. I'm normally not a fan of pumpkin but the sour cream component really intrigued me. The pie crust itself, is amazing; buttery and flaky. I brought the strawberry rhubarb one home, for later. Again great crust. I love the tartness of the rhubarb and how it plays and balances with the strawberry. I would most definitely come back. If there is a pie heaven, Piefection will be it. Lots of selection of pies both savory and sweet. Some also comes in mini size and/or slice. Our choice today was the cherry crumb pie slice. It was really tasty but really sweet from the cherries. The peach pie mini was really yummy. Everything from the crumbly crust to sweet and juicy peaches was absolutely delightful. I pull up to Piefection and marvel at how new and shiny the shop is.   Employee was nice and informative as I had a few questions.  Great selection of pies here. Peach pie had a buttery crust while the peach filling had a delicious sweet peach flavor.  Vey good tasting pie. Chicken pot pie was a take and bake with instructions on the container.  I baked it and it seems my oven is not as hot as it should be as the crust wasn't golden brown after an hour.  Crust did have a nice mild flavor.  Broth had more pepper than I would prefer.  Chicken was tender and full of flavor.  Would prefer they didn't put corn in this pie.  Overall this is a good pie.  So far Mama Testa's is my fav spot in town for chicken pot pie. I'll return next time I'm in town again as there are some more pies I want to try. read more

OMG, went shopping for a mattress & this was next door! I am extremely picky when it comes to sweets & my husband and I were blown away. We got 2 slices. The Lemon wild blueberry sour cream pie was delicious, but what stole the show was the lemon strawberry cheesecake!!!
