Thank you Shannon!!! You did an awesome job at recreating my daughter's Princess Jasmine cake for her 4th birthday! Everyone loved how it turned out & was impressed how delicious it was. Thank you for being so patient and nice. You are amazing!! Here's a little info about the cake: Design was taken from a photo I found online and Shannon was able to recreate it. This cake fed about 30 people. It could be more depends on cake slices; little kids don't typically eat a large slice. I had a choice of buttercream or fondant; this one was buttercream. Cake flavor of choice: Oreo the cake itself reminded me of how my aunt would make her cakes: homemade, dense & delicious. We loved it! I would totally recommend and order from The Happy Caker again!

Loved her work! Everyone including myself loved the classic mickey mouse picnic birthday cake! My daughter loved seeing mickey and eating the fondant. the cake itself was also moist and delicious. I was a little worried since this is the first time i ordered from someone very far (i live in Southern Cali) i took a chance because her work from the pictures looked very impressive. Shannon's attention to detail is amazing. I sent a couple of inspiration pictures, told her what i was looking for, and told her a little something about my daughter. Shannon is a true talent. This was my first time ordering a customized cake. I wanted to do something really special for my boyfriend's 30th birthday. He's a huge fan of Spider-Man & Venom. Shannon is a miracle worker! The first time I used her, I sent her a custom cake request less than 48 hours before I needed it. Not only did she create the most gorgeous cake that looked BETTER than the photo I sent, it tasted amazing and was very affordable. Plus she delivers! Since then, I have used her at least twice a month for our company lunches, events, and meetings. We love her cupcakes- she has done some amazing custom designs for us- see photos. :) She has a robust list of cake and frosting options and is also willing to create new flavors upon request. Our staff loves that her cakes are not overly sickly sweet like other vendors and have requested I order her cake for every meeting we have. ;) HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

I was so lucky to have found Shannon, The Happy Caker, here in Torrance. She did a fabulous job for my daughters birthday cake. I couldn't decide what I wanted on the cake so we literally emailed each other back and forth on the details and Shannon was super helpful throughout the whole process, also knowing I was on a budget. Shannon's cake was a hit for my sister's 50th birthday party. It was beautifully made and the attention to detail was exact. The theme for the party was Game of Thrones. She was able to make the dragon, dragon eggs, and Daenerys (like a Funko POP figurine) out of fondant. Even the waiter's were taking pics. The cake was delicious. Super tasty! So happy to have a great little bakery in this part of the Westminster area! I love visiting bakeries and have been to a ton around Denver and have always lamented that we didn't have one closer to the new Westminster downtown. Just tried The Happy Caker for the first time tonight and the snickers cookie was especially tasty!! The lemon blueberry muffin was super light and fresh tasting and the fruit in the home made pop tart was a nice balance with the crust. The owner was super friendly as well. One time and I already know I'll be a regular. read more

Cupcakes - do not order them!!!For the price she charged me, I expected something amazing. It was a splurge for my daughter's cast party after a play. Disappointing doesn't begin to describe experience. I ordered two flavors of the week. I think the box mixes my daughter bakes at home taste better. I actually woke up feeling sick from eating it last night. So the quality was poor. The presentation was bland and unimpressive. Definitely no wow factor from the kids. I had title some other parents where I was getting them from and they were anxious to see how they turned out - and they very underwhelmed. The size was average - fine for a dessert - but not for the exorbitant cost. I would not pay more than $1 for one of these, and she charges over $3 for each cupcake. I absolutely want my money back. I resent the money spent- and wish I had just gone to King Soopers and just bought a few boxes off the shelf. Save time, money and disappointment and get a better product. read more

Shannon was able to make us the cutest Dinosaur cake for my son's second birthday off a photo we provided. The cake was delicious and so moist. We had the strawberry shortcake flavor. Everyone who attended raved about how delicious the cake was. I used to order Susie cakes but Happy Caker definitely tops their flavor. For my boyfriend's birthday I wanted to do some special. I wanted to get him a Jameson bottle cake. I did some research on yelp and found 'The Happy Caker'. Shannon, the amazing baker was very helpful and made me feel confident that I made the right decision in having her create a wonderful birthday cake. The cake exceeded my expectations. Do Not Recommend! For what you pay and what she delivers it is simply just not worth it. I paid $240 for a single tiered cake (for 15 people) that looked nothing like we had discussed!!!! I asked for a Moroccan style pillow she gave me a square; I asked for a burgundy, cream & gold color scheme, I got a solid burgundy; I asked for delivery on Sunday (confirmed & discussed it twice including 2 days before) & she delivered a day early... not only was the cake stale at that point but the inside pineapple creamy filling tasted like whipped butter with sugar. I also ordered genie lamp cake pops (which in all fairness she told me she had never made before) but what upset me is 4 of them came out horrible & 2 of them came out amazing which means she got the hang of it and could've delivered 6 beautiful genie lamps but she was being lazy & could care less about the quality of the work. Honestly I would have been better off going to Publix, at least there you know you get what you pay for! P.S. Established in 2013.

The Happy Caker started selling cakes in 2013. I realized my passion for cakes after baking my daughter a cake for her 6th birthday. I have always had a passion for art and have dabbled in a number of crafts. When I made my first fondant cake it ignited a fire inside and I have spent all my time learning and growing as a decorator ever since. I put all of my love into my cakes and will not let one go out the door until I am fully satisfied with the finished product.

I have watched cake shows on TV for years and wished I could be as talented as the people I was watching. I finally decided to stop watching and just give it a try. I made my very first fondant cake for my daughters birthday 2 years ago and discovered that I can do it too. From that day on cakes have become my passion. I am completely self taught and constantly learning new techniques.

I noticed the terrible review by Jenny M and figured I would do my part to counteract the craziness here. The Happy Caker's cupcakes are the best cupcakes I've ever had, hands down. Same with their buttercream; it's so lite, creamy, and not over-the-top sweet - yum! They are what I would consider a "gourmet cupcake," so don't expect a store-bought or box-made taste, these are much more refined. The presentation is lovely, beautifully topped buttercream and other toppings carefully sprinkled and placed on top make them look so inviting. The colors and tastes of an assorted box are stunning. The cupcakes are so soft and moist; it's obvious The Happy Caker only uses top ingredients. Considering how high quality everything is, the price seems extremely fair, especially given that they are a small, family-owned, business. I will never buy store-bought or box-made cupcakes again. Unbelievable the nerve of some people to post such nasty reviews that have no basis in reality. I eat here at least once a week and have since they opened last year. In fact, this week I've been twice :) ... They've never made me not feel well, just leave me wanting more (and for what it's worth I have a very weak stomach, just saying). I 100% encourage everyone to go there and enjoy what I consider the best bakery around. Recently I had the great pleasure meeting Shannon(The Happy Caker). She made cakes for my twin sons. My one son who is fighting brain cancer and really wanted a Umizoomi Bot Cake and my other son wanted either a panda bear or wiggles. She not only was able to create AMAZING cakes but she also included both the Panda Bear and the wiggles together. We were blessed she was able to do these cakes for Cakes Against Cancer. I would recommend her 100%. She did such an amazing job!! Both of the boys loved the cakes along people from there 5th birthday party.I also shared how they could contact her. Walking into The Happy Caker shop will put a smile on your face. From the display case full of delicious treats to the owner, Shannon, who is just so gosh darn nice. The cupcakes are beautifully decorated and taste amazing. There is an array of cookies to choose from, the pumpkin bread is perfectly spiced and the banana bread whoopie pie with both peanut butter and chocolate fluff is simply devine. The menu changes weekly so there is always something new to try. So, next time you are near 92 Ave and Wads, make sure you stop at The Happy Caker. You won't be disappointed! read more
