This is a wonderful cafe in downtown Lowell! Their food is all homemade, so it might be different when you come, but everything my siblings and I tried on the 2 days we came was delicious. As a few others mentioned, it's not the fastest service. We waited on average about 10-15 minutes each day for food/drinks to be ready. I'll be honest- our experience here was rough. Was the food good? Yes. The coffee? Also good. The issue was how long it took for them to fulfill our orders. We ordered 3 hot beverages... a hot chocolate, a breve latte with sugar free vanilla and a normal vanilla latte. We sat inside the cafe for nearly 30 minutes before our drinks were ready, surrounded by other grumpy customers. We overheard the shop saying they were closing early because they cannot handle the load of orders... the place was busy, but nothing different than your typical coffee shop on a Saturday morning. (See photos for reference) Overall, if you're in a hurry this isn't the place for you. But, if you can afford to wait 20-30 minutes for your coffee then no harm in trying them out. read more

SW Michigan has perfected scones & fried chicken sandwiches. You can't get the chicken at Sweet Seasons, but the scones are superb. Pillowy warm interiors enfolded in just-right crunch. I was a bit doubtful of the maple sage flavor pairing, but the slight peppery spice smoothly enhanced the maple glaze. Coffee was also warm and smooth, as was the high ceilinged interior and it's comfortable thrift store furniture. It looks like a Hallmark movie set interior. A nice space for coffee. After completing a 5k kick off run for the Lowell Fall Fest, we walked past this little gem on our way back to the car. Last minute decision, we went in. There was only two other people in the shop when we ducked in, but this was about to change quickly. Everyone had the same idea after the run/walk! First impression - WOW! So cute and comfortable inside. The baked goods were so lovely, it was hard to make a decision. We ordered a regular latte and a mocha latte. Breakfast biscuit sandwich and broccoli cheese quiche. I haven't had lattes this well made in a LONG time. They were perfect. The food was amazing. The crust on the quiche was very well made. Not thick, not too thin, it complemented the pie so well. Now the biscuit. This biscuit is interrupting my sleep! It was that great. Just go. You'll see. Not impressed. Ordered a hot chai and a bagel to go. There were two order slips ahead of mine (I peeked and it looked like there were about three drinks total), so I took a seat and waited. And waited. (There were three baristas, but only one was making drinks.) Luckily, I didn't wait as long as the woman next to me, who made it sound like she was waiting forever to get her drink (she was even finishing up her breakfast before they even realized her drink wasn't made yet). I felt bad that mine was done before hers! Took my expensive bagel and chai and headed home. The bagel tasted suuuuuper weird - almost as if it was baked with plastic or something. I couldn't even finish it. The only redeeming factor is the chai - it's pretty great! read more

2 strikes...I've visited this bakery a number of times. At first I raved about not only the food, but the service. The last two times I've been in, I've experienced rude service and snotty remarks. For a small, local bakery with a limited client base, you would think friendly service would be a top priority. Instead clients are treated like a nuisance or bother. lots of motivational signs. and lots of signs about bathroom etiquette. for example, leave to the door when exiting. i wonder what would happen if i closed the door. i bet the worker would flip their lid, and interrogate every customer until they found the culprit. take every customer to the back, shine a dim lamp on their face, and say nothing. just stare, waiting for them to crack under the pressure. paper straws- no good. no flippin good. tip: dip pieces of coffee cake into coffee drink for said cake to taste more like coffee. the fashion choices of certain customers are interesting. not to be overly sensitive or anything, but can a dress code be put in place? nothing too restrictive, but just something. they have a lil lounge for those who are looking to take a load off. exhibit a: one man (i would estimated around 56 y/o) lays peacefully in the couch. it's a deep couch so he didn't have to worry about rolling off. he looked such at peace, like he had no worries. his eyes closed, socks exposed, saying adios. read more

Sweet Seasons is a wonderful little coffee shop & bakery/cafe in Lowell. It is run by a local family, and everything they serve is homemade and DELICIOUS! I recently held a bridal shower at Sweet Seasons Bakery, and it was the easiest shower I've ever hosted. The decor is rustic country, which the bride loved. So, we didn't have to add anything. My sister-in-law and I met once with Patty to talk about the menu and taste all her goodies. We sent out invitations and showed up the day of the shower with a couple of fun games. Everyone had a great time! And the food was FABULOUS! She even had gluten-free cake for our GF guests! Thank you, Patty & Annalise! We had a great time! read more

Sweetest (ha!) small town coffee shop in pretty little downtown Lowell. The monster cookies alone deserve five stars! The atmosphere is calm and welcoming-- such a great alternative to chain coffee shops. I recommend their homemade chai and fancy grilled cheese. So yummy. read more
