#4 with bacon and home fries

Breakfast at 11:30? No problem! Sadly, the baker was off so no pastries for us. Pretty darn busy on Saturday, so our party of six waited about 10 minutes to be seated. The large booth was pretty squished but ok. Drinks are served in handled mason jars. Coffee was decent. Breakfast was excellent! Good crispy hashbrowns, and crisp bacon. No complaints and clean plates.

    Grilled cinnamon roll- Must get!!

Here for Electric Forest and we stopped by for a coffee and something sweet while we waited for our clothes to wash at the laundromat across the plaza. Honestly we didn't expect a lot since it seemed like pretty standard diner food. I can't comment on the actual breakfast food, but the grilled cinnamon roll was INCREDIBLE. Such a simple concept.. take a big ass cinnamon roll, slice it in half, grill it with a ton of butter, and serve it with some strawberries... but damn was it delicious. The cinnamon roll was toasted to perfection with plenty of crunch to balance out the soft chew of the rest of the roll. The strawberries added a wonderful freshness. We ordered extra strawberries to balance out the richness of the roll. The only thing that could have made this better was a side of fresh whipped cream. The service was also friendly and the staff seemed genuinely proud of their food. We'll be back to visit cinnamon roll heaven again!

Interior seating area, lots of space.

LOVE THIS PLACE. Our server is always happy with a great sense of humor. Food comes out quickly, in generous portions, hot & delicious. Not only are are the breads & pastries housemade, but their soup was AMAZING and housemade, as well. Beautiful large pieces of chicken in the southwest soup and the chili was great, too. They happily replaced the white bread on the deluxe club with rye and it was fantastic. Nicely decorated and cozy interior. This has become my favorite restaurant in Whitehall!

Mushroom and cheese omelette with cinnamon raisin toast!

Delicious and well plated! It tasted as good as it looks!. I highly recommend this restaurant. The service was prompt and kind. Thoughtful and quick! Newly upgraded interior, with comfortable and 'homey' touches. I had a mushroom and cheese omelette. It was almost perfect! I'm an omelette snob! The lightly sautéed portobello mushrooms and combination of cheeses. So good!. Excellent homemade cinnamon raisin toast. Deep fried perfection for the 'home fries'. One note: the hash browns are deep fried. Not my thing. I truly enjoyed my breakfast, I bet you do too!

I was really excited when the Homestead was going to open but I do not feel like it is what it could be. The staff seem friendly and the decor is welcoming. The location is convenient being right in Whitehall on the main road. My breakfast was pretty mediocre, I wouldn't say it was anything over the top. I was very disappointed that the shredded hash browns were so, so thin. They tasted like pure grease and you couldn't taste any potato. They were like see through! There is no place to get shredded hash browns in Whitehall so I was really looking forward to it only to be a little disappointed. The waffle was flavorless and overpriced for what it's worth for sure. I feel like the bagel/bread/pastry cases seem like they are self serve the way they are positioned/located. I watched someone come in just for a pastry and they went to grab it themselves only to be told that an employee had to do it. I think there should be better signage to state employees only or something similar to that, or at least have them repositioned etc. Overall it seems like a pretty basic spot. There isn't anything speciality on their menu that is calling me back.

I was in Whitehall for a wedding and came here for brunch. It has a cute and homey vibe, and our waitress was great. My boyfriend had the breakfast burrito and I had the everything but the kitchen sink special. That was all of their fixings for the stuffed hash browns, but over biscuits with sausage gravy. It was AMAZING. It was honestly the best gravy that I've ever had. I definitely recommend checking out The Homestead Restaurant and Bakery if you're around!!

This place is great! We've been staying in Whitehall this summer and have been coming here regularly. The staff is super friendly and the prices are reasonable (If you come in early enough you get a discount on everything). The bread is definitely made fresh and is the best part. They don't have a huge amount of options as the menu is *very* small, but it seems like they stick to what they do best. I typically just get traditional breakfast (Eggs / Potato / Toast) but the fancier items look pretty good too. Food comes out quickly, place is super clean. Nothing I could complain about, highly recommend.

Being a burger joint, we obviously ordered everything but the burgers lol. We had a long trip ahead and didn't wanna feel too greasy but looking over at other tables later, the burgers looked delicious. I got the peach salad that came with curried pumpkin seeds and shredded asiago and croutons. I added grilled chicken for $4. I wished there were some fresh peaches on it but the salad was tossed in a peach dressing instead. The croutons also tasted like fried pieces of sandwich bread. I will say, I was so pleasantly surprised by how delicious this salad was! Holy cow, after a few days of camping, having vegetables was one thing, having this salad changed my outlook on life. My fiancé was a little saddened by the fact that we will be no where near this place (from Connecticut) becuase he thoroughly enjoyed his brisket wrap. Maybe it's the Mid Western charm and hospitality, but our experience was so great. After getting the bill, our waiter (who had two colored socks on and my friend thought he only had one, but alas, one sock was just black while the other was a hot pink) offered us our drinks to go and brought us back a full cup of iced tea and Dr Pepper. Our table of four left with a $70 bill which was fantastic, given that the food also satiated us to the best degree. All the way from CT, I wanna say: thank you Michigan. And thank you to the Gnarly Heifer, even though we did not taste your Heif.

I love that it's mostly original. They even us the old cash register. Ice cream was good and service was friendly. We didn't get a meal, but it looked great. Only thing I could knock them on was while the service was awesome, they are understaffed. There's just too many people with tourist season here. Parking was an issue for the same reasons and while I don't mind too much going to the atm, it's 2024 and cash and check only businesses can be frustrating. We'll be back for a meal, and it's worth a stop if you're close.
