We had been looking forward to having lunch at this newer bakery. The pastries looked beautiful. You have to order at the counter and there weren't any printed menus available except for the one at the counter. This was hard for me, because I have a walker and it was awkward trying to place the order. Secondly. we wanted two different chicken salad sandwiches. I asked the lady behind the counter what kind iof bread do they come on? She said to open the refrigerator door and buy the chicken salad and then get two unsliced butter croissants to put the salad on. I didn't understand! Dave wanted curry and I wanted plain! We ended up with a pound of chicken salad two croissants! What was the purpose of this? I just wanted a sandwhich with lettuce and tomato. When she mentioned the everything croissant we said we'd like that. Then she said we couldn't get it without cream cheese? Give me a break! This was not a pleasant experience. Then we had to ask where the silverware and napkins were. They weren't served with the sandwhich. Too bad bc this is a lovely little place. We had to get the sandwiches ourselves. I don't think we would ever return. I ordered a cappuccino too. The total was $34.00. What was the difference from getting two sandwiches at $14.00 each? Then Dave was going to get a veggie juice which was a whopping $12.50! Just not our cup of tea. I guess it would be ok if you ordered a pastry and coffee.
