Delicious gluten free carrot cake for someone with very sensitive celiac disease. Everyone loved it!

First off - chocolate gf sheet cake was sooooo good. People were addicted to it. The owner and her daughter so helpful. We had just left Punta Gorda's Farmer Market and we decided to try T and D Bakery for coffee and a nosh. Tucked away in a little plaza on Marion Avenue, directly diagonal to the Celtic Ray, is this charming little bakery and food place. Everything is gluten free and preservative free. So on Saturday they have a limited menu, and we both chose the ham and cheese quiche that was accompanied by two small pieces of gluten free sandwich bread, butter and some apple slices. I chose the cappuccino which I like more foamy than milky, and Dave had a regular coffee. FYI, I am now counting carbs along with my low fat diet lol! Gosh, it's getting complicated! Everything was delish and served in a styrofoam container. The bakery requires masks and social distancing and there are signs that tell you so! The owners are wearing masks too! They have a website where you can order everything online and pick it up, because gluten free bakeries are a scarcity in our area. We thank T and D bakery for caring about their customers and their community by respecting the guidelines during this trying time. As always we love supporting our neighborhood community businesses. The food here is great and the customer service is even better!! I came in as soon as they opened and I was greeted by both owners of the store. I looked over the menu and it's been shortened a bit due to covid etc, but I was told everything on the old menu can still be ordered you just have to order certain things like pot pies and Sheppard's pie 24-48 hours in advance. They were only serving breakfast items, and I had forgotten how early it was so I asked for a chicken wrap and the owner told me those are a lunch item but he & his wife still made it for me anyways, which I appreciate greatly. They definitely didn't have to do that. It was delicious AND gluten free! I also ate a couple of the cinnamon buns that were also delicious, but slightly over done when heated. I think next time I'll eat them unheated. The interior is small but very cute and not crowded at all. I felt completely comfortable sitting down to dine with my young son. Some seating is closed off but there's still plenty of room to dine. Everything was very clean from tables to floors and masks were worn. The self serve coffee bar is closed, but there is a sign saying that they will personally serve you the coffee. There's plenty of yummy things to eat here and everything is homemade! (except for the bagels) They sell loaves of bread as well which are ordered by the local restaurants so I'm sure they sell out fast. All in all I had a great experience and I definitely plan on coming back to eat an egg and cheese breakfast bagel! read more

Wonderful scratch made foods! I highly recommend this GF Bakery even if you have no dietary restrictions! Been living in this town for three years and the cupcakes here (which are both gluten free and dairy free) are the best!! I ordered a fresh loaf of white bread that I needed both Gluten and Dairy Free, which was hot and ready the next morning. IT WAS AMAZING! Moist and soft on the inside with a nice crunch on the crust. The service here is excellent as well! They have a nice selection of deserts in the case and they make your bread to order. All they need is 24 hours notice, and you can even text to order!! The ambiance has a homey feel to it, as there are many comfy chairs to lounge in, and nice decor to look at. Overall it is a clean establishment. MOST IMPORTANTLY- this bakery doesn't charge any more than you would pay at a grocery store for GF goods. Big difference is- no grocery store has fresh GF bread. Why buy stale or frozen gf bread from a grocery store when you can get it FRESH for the same price? I will definitely keep buying my bread here! read more

T n D is a cute establishment near the post office in Punta Gorda. My husband and I throughly enjoyed the cinnamon rolls and quiche. Delicious. The place is decorated to add calm as you sip your beverage. In this time of Covid we felt very comfortable eating inside since ceiling fans were working to circulate the air. There are also a couple of small tables outside. We highly recommend this as a place to stop for a pleasant break. read more

My husband went to pick up an order from these guys this morning. We just moved here from LA and I miss my GF muffins! We got blueberry muffins, snickerdoodle cookies, burger buns, hotdog buns, and banana chocolate chip bread. They even made is specially dairy-free for me, too. Everything I have tried so far is incredible and I can't wait to eat the rest. Our order was literally coming out of the oven while he waited. This locally owned bakery and coffee (and tea) shop is our go-to place for a quick and delicious breakfast or lunch. We usually get a scratch-made quiche and muffin to split (comes with fresh fruit). On Saturdays you can enjoy a hearty frittata and, no matter what the selection of the day is, the coffee is enjoyable. Finally, an incredible gluten free bakery with so many choices, it's incredible! Tried their 4 cheese souffle and their broccoli, cheese quiche. Both were delicious!!! Their coffee and their fruit mini scone were also quite yummy! They don't have a full breakfast type menu, mainly quiches, pies and such...They do carry items like Shepherd's and Chicken Pot Pies or inside out pizza for take out or eat in... Inside their cute bakery, they do have a few tables along with comfortable chairs to drink coffee and enjoy their goodies... We talked to Chris, one of the personable owners. He told us that some of their clients order multiple loaves of their famous sourdough bread. They take them home cut them into slices and freeze them with parchment paper in between each slice so they can use it as needed. So, yes, they do take advanced orders. Currently, they are open 7 AM-2:30 PM. They are located right by the Charlotte County Courthouse off Marion Ave. Definitely, a must go to place if you have any gluten issues and you still enjoy baked goods now and then... The absolute worst a quiche I have ever had. I could not eat it. Crust was soggy and the ham tasted like chicken bullion. Hot tea selection was poor. Ordered I cafe mocha which was just coffee and chocolate syrup. Very expensive fot what I got. read more
