My child had an extremely disappointing experience with Sweet Sisters. The instructor didn't teach much. What was supposed to be a two-hour class ended up being much less than that because the instructor was late and on top of that, he had my child drive him to get lunch and took his time getting his lunch while my child waited in his dirty vehicle. They drove around for a bit and brought him back early! This was very unprofessional and a complete waste of money. I wish the instructor would have been more considerate. These classes are expensive ($220), and we should be getting the service that we are paying for. Sweet Sisters has definitely gone downhill after the new ownership. read more

My daughter completed her behind the wheel training and really liked Dean. Unfortunately, he wasn't available for her final lesson and she was assigned Marty. Im sure had we not experienced Dean initially we wouldn't have been so thrown off by how different Marty is from him. I do wish they were more current with technology and had the ability to schedule lessons online. Also, when I scheduled the third lesson, wasn't advised that pricing for cash payments went up from $170 to $180. As a mom, I couldn't be more pleased! I signed my son up for the in-class DMV study, for their permit in November 2019. My son learned a lot and he learns better in a classroom setting with an instructor. My son liked the woman who taught the class and he wasn't board. Monday, December 2nd he passed the written DMV test on the first try! He was so excited. I called Sweet Sisters in the DMV to make an appointment and they were able to fit him in the next afternoon. So, Dimitri from Sweet Sisters picked up my son at school in their Ford mustang. I have to say, I was real nervous. I didn't want him to have a bad first impression/ExperienceMy son loved Dimitri. He was soft spoken and very calm. We were so pleased with this instructor, we made his 2nd driving appointment the next day (today). Again, my son had a very good day and feels very confident to drive with us. Did I mention it was raining too! March 12, 2020..my son had his third drivers training with Dimitri and we are very pleased. He's finished with his mandated behind the wheel, just in time to be quarantine ;-/ I just hope the DMV will be open for his behind the wheel drivers test for his drivers license. I was pretty disappointed with their service of booking an appointment- I was recommended by a friend to request Robyn. She must be great, I heard from two of my friends she was great, but she only works on Sunday, so she is always booked. I booked on a Sunday, waited for a month, and I usually get a call or text confirmation with certain businesses, this one did not do neither. I called on a Sunday, they do respond, but they said my appt was cancelled. I did not cancel, I asked for a reason, they couldn't give me a reason, I told them I spoke with a gentleman on the phone when I made my appt., I asked for him to call me back since he was not working over the weekend, (mind you, the appt was 0800-1000 a.m.) and has not called me back, I did not wait or rebook, I went somewhere else for drivers training, and that place does text and call confirmations. (If you do book your trainings here, I would call and make sure a week before your appt.) read more

We hired Sweet Sisters to teach our teen to drive. The first lesson, following acquisition of the learner's permit, is supposed to happen before driving with others. The instructor expressed frustration at how unskilled our teen was and generally berated her for not knowing how to drive. That said, our teen is pretty sensitive. After some driving with family for a few months, it was time to get serious and get more instruction (I've learned that I am not a good driving instructor for my teen!) So I made an appointment with Sweet Sisters (the only school in town) and was relieved that a different instructor showed up. Sadly, this one was no better. She criticized my teen for not knowing how to drive and said a couple of time, "Well, you're not ready for the test!" That wasn't the goal, the goal was to take a few lessons to build skills to get ready for the test. Low points in the lesson were when the instructor noted that my teen didn't know how to do something and then said, "Well, it's not like I can show you how to do it!" Uh, I thought the point of driving lessons is to teach people how to drive. I do not recommend this school to anyone except for tough guys who like to be treated like they are incompetent. Thankfully we found a different driving school 40 minutes from our home with a kind, helpful, patient instructor. read more

Robyn is a phenomenal driving instructor. I took all of my required sessions for my license with her when I was 16, back in 2012. To this day, I would consider myself a pretty good and safe driver, and that's because to this day. 9 years later, I still use the cues and techniques she taught me. Her personality and friendliness facilitate a great environment to learn. It was non-intimidating and fun to learn. I seriously appreciate her to this day- her teaching skills inspire me to carry the same type of energy into my career today. She's the star of this company. read more

They will call you back fast and they fit us in. I don't care how they say your getting a session, but much of it is with others in the car and you have to drop them off and wait. My daughter really only got about 45 minutes of driving per session. Having said that she did pass her test, so I guess they did something right. read more

It's a lovely local driving school that's been around for decades. Staff are tremendously helpful, really want their clients to succeed and work toward that goal. Many youthful teen drivers have taken these classes to gain their skills & practice. Most of the teachers are quite thoughtful, patient & polite. Low turnover suggests staff are well supported. My experience with Sweet Sisters so far has been okay. My first lesson was with Dean and he was excellent! He was very informative and made me feel very relaxed and comfortable despite the fact that it was my first time driving. However, for my second driving lesson I got put with Marty. All I can say is never again. The second she came up to get me at my house I already knew I wouldn't enjoy this lesson. She was very rude with her wording while teaching and made me feel like I was always doing something wrong. For about 5 minutes straight she had her hand on my wheel trying to do everything for me, am I the one learning to drive or you?? Her unnecessary comments were making me feel very uncomfortable while driving with her. With that being said I hope to never cross her again. My 17 year old daughter Baylie, was ready to get some "real" driving lessons under her belt, after having gone out to the "Green Island Road" Industrial park on weekends, in American Canyon, driving my ancient 4WD Ranch SUV. The instructor, (who's name is Rychie), picked her up at our house, & they were gone quite awhile. Baylie said her instructor was very patient, easy-going, & she made Baylie feel much more at ease, & comfortable driving (more than I ever could)! We'll be calling really Rychie soon, for another lesson! The price was also very reasonable, for the amount of time spent, (what would most of US charge, to go out & driving with what are sometimes very nervous kids, many for their 1st time)? I literally just passed my Driving Test in Vallejo 20 minutes ago ! And with only 3 marks !! I owe it all to the instructor Robyn for teaching me and helping me pass ! I would definitely recommend Robyn for new drivers because she makes you feel less scared. She's always calm and really funny. If you like talking, she makes a lot of conversations, but they are fun and interesting. This also helps you multitask by driving and talking at the same time, it's a good skill to have ! She also gives really good advice and tips for driving. I had Robyn for my second and third lesson, but I got Dimitri for my first. Dimitri is good as well ! I would like to say that if you have a bad time listening to accents I would try Robyn or someone else because he has a really heavy accent from what I remember. He doesn't talk that much, so if you don't feel like getting awkward at some points of the lesson then try someone else ! read more

He responded to my online inquiry right away, was so friendly and thorough when answering all of my questions, and was able to schedule my daughter for her first behind the wheel lesson with Marty within a week. Today was my daughter's first lesson in a Mustang, and although she was a bit anxious, I was so relieved when she had nothing but positive things to say about her Instructor/lesson. :) I feel so much better knowing that she's more confident and so comfortable with Marty's kind and patient demeanor. Great services. My daughter has had a few lessons over the years and always had very effective instructors that helped her build her confidence behind the wheel. She recently passed her drivers test thanks to Kimberly's support and help prior the drivers test. We've always had great business dealing with this business over the years and highly recommend. It is a little pricy but definitely worth the lessons and practice for unfamiliar and new drivers. We booked my son's behind the wheel sessions with Sweet Sister's. His first session was with Tyler and the rest with Ms. Marty. Tyler was great but my son preferred Ms. Marty because he said her teaching method was different to where he could understand better. My son tested for his license a couple days after his last session with Ms. Marty & got a perfect score on his driving test. So a big thank you! The only thing was on the last session, another student drove to pick up my son, she was a few minutes late, no big deal, but towards the end of my son's session, he had to drive & pick up another student. That student then took over & drove my son home, which my son said he was extremely scared because that kid was a hazard on the road. read more

I would NOT recommend Sweet Sisters after our last experience. My daughter had her first 2 hour driving lesson with Ms. Marti and things were fine, however, I was not told that Sweet Sisters overlaps two different students' lessons. One student ends up driving another student around for part of the time. The second driving lesson with Ms. Marti did NOT go very well. My daughter was picked up from Suisun and practiced for a while then drove to Benicia to pick up another student. When they arrived to pick up the other student at her school they discovered the other student didn't have her learner's permit. It took 45 minutes for the student to contact her parents to have someone bring her permit so she could take her driving lesson. Then Ms. Marti told my daughter her driving time was over and had the other student drive. This other student was a first time driver and not driving very well on the street then drove on the freeway from Benicia to Suisun. My daughter was worried for her safety on the ride back. I asked Ms. Marti why she didn't let my daughter, who is more experienced, drive back on the freeway and she said my daughter's "time was up". As a parent I was horrified to learn that Sweet Sisters driving school would my daughter's safety at risk! A first time driver who has not demonstrated she is a safe driver on city streets should not be asked to take another student on a 30 minute drive on the freeway! Ms. Marti justified her decision by telling me they took back roads for part of the way. This is irresponsible and reckless of the driving instructor. I am also unhappy that the 45 minutes my daughter waited for the other student to obtain her learners permit was taken out of my daughter time when it should have taken it out of the other student time or had the other student reschedule. In all, my daughter drove for about an hour and 20 minutes out of the 2 hour driving lesson yet she was away from our house for 4 1/2 hours. The driving instructor did not use good time management and shorted my daughter 40 minutes of lessons I paid for. Why would Sweet Sisters book students in cities far away from each other? It seems it would be more efficient to have instructors teach students from the same area? Ms. Marti said she told the management at Sweet Sisters she did not like having to drive so far for lessons but they scheduled her anyway. I called Sweet Sisters and left a message. The next day a manager called back. I spoke with her about this at length and she said the owner would call me back. That was three weeks ago! I have given Sweet Sisters an opportunity to speak with me and make things right but they have not responded. If you are a parent looking for a safe and affordable driving school, I strongly suggest NOT using Sweet Sisters! read more

Called up Sweet Sisters and scheduled an appointment right away for that weekend. They pick you up and you provide your permit, ID information and payment when they arrive. I believe they were driving a mustang. After you get in and we drove the last student home and drove around fixing things I'm not comfortable with about driving. Richard was really helping me ease my nervousness with driving since I've had some trauma with cars in the past. They provide the cars and will help you and score you on different aspects of what they want from you when you take your driving exam. Richard was very calm and gave me directions. I am regularly practicing and building confidence and with the straight insight from my lesson am slowly on my way to getting my license. I'll report back my results! I took out 2 points for the following reasons: - the car used to train my son was a muscle car, so twas heavy and harder to maneuver. - my son was a first time driver, haven't had experience to handle a car, he was only taught how to drive it, not to get comfortable in knowing the basics. - my son said he felt he's being rushed to cram all the information in one session. Sweet sisters was not a match for my 16-year-old. The driver trainer was aggressive and intimidated her while teaching her. I mentioned to him that this was her first time ever behind the wheel. She told me that he said more than once, and I quote, "what the heck are you doing?" In addition, it took quite a while for me to coax her back to into a vehicle because her first experience was not positive. Subsequently, her best friend took a lesson with the same company and the instructor swore at her more than once and also asked her what her opinion was on women wearing yoga pants as streetwear. For those reasons we have ended our business relationship with this driving school. I reported this to them over the phone and the response was we get requests for him all of the time. If I could give zero stars I absolutely would. read more

Just finished my third session with Debbie ten minutes ago and she has been one excellent instructor. She's said herself that she is here to make you comfortable and at the same time to learn something while being on the road. I highly recommend future driving students alike to request for Debbie as your instructor as she made me much less nervous for my upcoming license test and not just that, but she has undoubtedly taught me everything I needed to know - from being a safe and defensive driver to being aware of what is going on around me as I drive. (Aside that, there have been a few times where service via the phone were a bit on the bad side. Do not use this company. One driver spent entire time complaining about the owners, then they've repeatedly cancelled my daughter's appointment and then leave messages on a number after I repeatedly gave them my personal cell instead of a work cell. So disorganized and unprofessional. They gave me a discount from first lesson because it was a cluster mess up. Now, I feel they're trying to renig on that discount by screwing up the appointments. We finished three drivers training sessions with this school and we loved it! My daughter had Debbie as her instructor and was very comfortable with her and looked forward to her lessons. The price is competitive at $100 a session. I still had trouble getting a hold of someone to make appointments but that's the only thing I had a problem with. I am in my 40's and learning to drive has always been a thorn in my side.......Until Now !!!! I am having so much fun learning to drive with Sweet Sisters Driving School here in Napa. My Coach's name is Chris and he is great. Very patient and informative, as well as really funny. I have three more hours to go and I think I'll be ready. Pricing is good here, trust me, I shopped around & the cars are great for learning (mustangs !!). I would recommend the over and over again.
