I haven't had the best quality manicures here in the past but they have gotten much better with both manicures and pedicures. I come here being close to work and for their good customer service. I got my feet done first and it was okay but it got worse when she took off my nails. I had acrylics on and she soaked them per usual then she started filing, she filed and then tried to take the nail off with a CREDIT CARD, it hurt and she said "no it doesn't hurt right?" my nails are damaged just overall bad. When she got confronted, she got annoyed. 2/10 In the picture there is residue of the acrylic from them being ripped off and scratch marks and a purple mark on the nail. read more

I got my nails done on a Friday and by Wednesday the paint is already 1/3 gone. However, the initial job was terrible to begin with. My full nail was never covered with paint and my cuticles were barely touched. One nail got a chip in the paint during the actual painting and it was just left like that. Very friendly lady but even at $11, this cheap shody job is not worth it. I have done better in my own bedroom with just a bottle of paint. read more

This place does a horrible job with a full set acrylic don't do them here unless you want all your nails breaking after 4 days the way they put the tip is the middle of your nail the job was very sloppy and nails were uneven my sister and I both had a bad job done mine were to thin and her nails were to thick they put a lot of glue for no reason. After asking for my refund one of lady's tried to rush my sister and I out of salon and told us she didn't want to deal with us anymore. I'd say that's not a way to treat new customers.They kept insisting on doing silk wrap because apparently they don't know how to do anything else than that. In my search for a nail salon that did sns manicures I came across this place because it was only $30 (other places I called charged $35) and is walking distance from my job. My friend had recommended sns manicures so I had high hopes. I went on Dec. 29th. so I'd have perfect nails for the New Year. There were only 3 people working. One lady took of my gel polish & filed my nails & the other actually did the "manicure" (cuticles weren't cut btw nor did I get a hot towel or lotion at the end.) They didn't have many options for sns gel POWDER so I chose something neutral. Come to find out this sns thing is just like acrylic except in a colored powder. She layered the products on very thick & it looks like I had acrylic tips on, which is obviously not the look I wanted. My nails ended up being shaped funny as well. The powdered did not look smooth on the nails nor were the edges filled in properly. I told the lady I hated it but since I didn't know what to expect, I dealt with it. She had said it would last 2-3 but it lasted 13 days to be exact. Within the first 5 days you could tell water had gotten underneath the powder/filling & it looked worse than before. On the bright side I was given a 20% off card for my next visit which I have since thrown away because I will not be returning nor would I recommend anyone there. read more

Just got a beautiful, quick, and inexpensive mani/pedi here on my lunch break. I was nervous at first as I haven't gotten my nails done in over a year, since the covid pandemic began. However, I felt very comfortable once there. The pedicure stations are each separated by plastic dividers, and at the manicure stations there are also plastic dividers between you and the manicurist. I personally saw the staff engaging in frequent hand-washing after anything they touched (e.g. after moving my bags for me from manicure area to drying area), and they appeared to have good cleaning and sanitizing practices overall. As a plus, the staff were friendly and you could tell they really care about doing a good job. My nails look great and I feel refreshed and happy. I will definitely be back and will recommend this to other locals. I also noticed they do full-body massages, waxing, special pedicures, and have a special "1/2 day" deal. We thought it was standard practice for a manicurist to clean our nails by wrapping an orange stick in cotton and dipping it in remover, but it turns out that's completely the wrong way to do it. "That's the cheap and lazy way to do it," says Elle. "Acetone doesn't remove lotion, because it doesn't remove oil. Instead, it deposits more residue and makes nails split and peel." Per Elle, a better way to do it is to swipe nails with a brush soaked in antibacterial soap. read more

This place deserve no stars! Let's start by the horrendous job that they did on my nails and my sisters nails . I came in for full set and gel but it cleary shows that all they know how to do is silk wraps. All they kept pushing was silk wrap and especially to my sister. The fake nail tip was placed on the middle shaft of my nail?!!! And a lot glue. I Never been to a place who does this. All of my nails came off like I had done pharmacy store bought press on!!! I asked for refund and all I was given was half for I was paid. When I went in to pick up the refunded I was rushed out and given a "gift" basically a way to shut me up. I am never going back to this place and I wish they would of been honest with me and my sister about new acrylic set experience. read more

I don't recommend coming here bc I got tips and by like 2 days later they started pooping right off with the slightest bang off a counter, a door, my friend and it would either pop off or crack and they are not stable nor strong...the lady I went to was Sharon. I looked on google to see the reviews bc it was the first time of me going there and they said she was very good... but she's really not. I have been going to Nail's World for about two years since moving to Mineola. They consistently do a wonderful job, and for great prices. When I tell people all the services I get, they are always astonished to discover how much I actually paid for them. For only $15, you get a standard pedicure that is thorough and relaxing, but also includes paraffin wax for your heels, and a hot stone calf/shin/foot massage. I haven't been to any other salon that puts that much in without having to choose from one of many special pedicure add-on packages for an extra fee. I've gotten regular manicures there, and they're very good, but I am a fan of their gel manicures. For awhile I had been doing the UV gel, which was great and lasted a couple weeks. Sharon is my go-to technician for everything. She convinced me to try the powder gels, because they're better for your nails, don't use the UV lights, and last even longer. I work retail, and I'm constantly putting my hands through a lot of rigorous use, but the powder gels lasted for a little over a month, looking like they did on day one. Sharon also waxes my eyebrows. She makes them look very clean and knows how to accentuate the natural shape of them, so they always look great. Sharon and Gina are both very warm and welcoming. At the end, they also give you a little backrub while your nails are drying. I recently brought my boyfriend there for a "man"icure/pedicure. They cleaned up his nails and gave them a good buffing. He enjoyed it and intends to go back. They have a frequent visitor perk on the back of their business card. If you come back enough times, you get discounts on services. You might miss it if you don't look for it where you turn to get to the Mineola LIRR station. They take walk-ins, but I always make an appointment, and it's usually better to do so. Make sure you bring quarters to park at the meters. Don't worry about not getting to your meter on time. They have a reminder posted inside, and if you're unable to go out yourself, one of them will take your quarters and fill the meter for you. I definitely recommend Nail's World. They provide great services and a really nice experience, and they're genuinely happy to see you come back. read more

Really messy gel manicure. It did not even last me 2 days. Started chipping right away with minimal hand activity. They were all nice, but when I asked the lady to fix some inaccuracies, she tried at first but you could see that at some point she gave up and told me that that's all she can do.
