I initially visited this salon for a pedicure. Impressed by the quality of the work, I scheduled an appointment for GelX the following day. While paying, I shared an inspiration picture with the owner, who quoted me around $90. However, when I arrived for my GelX appointment, they informed me that they didn't have the desired charms and would have to create them using gel. I expressed my preference for charms because it's less prone to getting dirty quickly. During the appointment, I showed Candy another design. She requested the owner's presence to finalize the total price. The owner quoted me $10 for the length and $5 for the shape, which seemed unusual since there was no filing done to the tip. When I inquired about the $5 charge for the shape, even though the extension comes pre-shaped, the owner changed the price to $15 for the length. When I questioned the owner about this discrepancy, she claimed that since it was my second time and we're all Chinese, she wouldn't charge me. I asked her for a total price and she told me $100. Upon paying, The owner (Jae I think) informed me that the nails would cost $175. The $100 she had initially quoted me was only for the style. I was required to pay an additional $60 for the GelX and $15 for the length, even though she had previously stated that she wouldn't charge for the shape. I was so bewildered that I couldn't even argue with her. On Saturday, I received beautiful Gel-X extensions. Unfortunately, by Thursday (the second day of my vacation), two of the nails had already lifted. While Candy's work was indeed beautiful, it unfortunately didn't last. Despite my preference for Gel-X extensions, which are longer and last at least three weeks, I kept being persuaded to switch to Gel extensions. It's unfortunate because I work on the same street and have had numerous customers ask me where I get my nails done. I must warn them to be cautious of price changes at the last minute while paying. read more

First off I was greeted by the person at the front she ask me what wanted I told her UV gel fill in and my sister acrylic fill in she quoted our price and then took us to the largest polish selection i have ever seen she assisted us with picking colors and answering questions then I sat with my nail tech Beira and my sister had Joy these ladies did an amazing job !!! I've been to multiple nail salons and so far this place is the most hygienic and great price for service! The ladies were very attentive and nice. The foot massage with the pedicure was AMAZING, my calves and feet have never felt so relaxed after a 10min massage (5min per foot). They even have a section where you can sit and blow air onto to dry your pedicure in a separate area for those who just get the pedicure (not gel). Update: Came in for a UV gel fill on 12/3/2024. The work is very inconsistent. Let me explain: - I told Winnie (the nail tech) that the UV gel on my right pinky was too thick, she attempted to file it down more and it was still too thick (I tried to explain to her where to file but she just didn't understand)... so for the rest of the nails, some were left thick, some were filed down too much at the tip that my nails actually look UGLY... I walked out of the salon holding back tears. - she cut me twice with the E-file... ON THE SAME FINGER... it is not red and swollen. - she was rushing my set to accommodate another customer that she did not clean up the excess polish left on my fingers. And she put waaayyyy too much polish on some nails that it looks patchy. The work is visibly rushed and messy.. it looks like a 5 year old did it. - even though I hated the work, I still tipped her 10% and as I was walking out I heard her complain to her coworkers about the tip. (I can understand Chinese but they did not know that). Overall, this negative experience was traumatizing and a waste of money. I will not come back here. Pics of work included. read more

Got my nails done in October and received 40% off because of their grand opening promo. Their November promo is 30% off and I'm def going back! It's not just the price that is good but the way they do my nails. Tony was the one that did my nails. Super friendly and super detailed! He noticed that my nails were too fragile to shave off the old gel so he applied something to soften the gel before removing it. He was so careful with it! He also cleaned my cuticles really well, the prep work was phenomenal! The only downside is they charge $5 if you want a shape that is not square. Place is clean and spacious as well! read more

I've been going to J&V for several months now, and it is always a pleasant experience. The place is exceptionally clean, and the staff is friendly and courteous. I generally get pedicures, and these are always done very well, with a great foot/calf massage. Their spa pedicures are great, and I've also gotten good neck & back massages there. I've had several different women, and I've been pleased with all of them. There are many different polishes to choose from. I was told it will be a short wait while I'm watching the technician I'm waiting for only 15 minutes into a detailed powder manicure with another client so it was clearly a lie. 30 minutes later someone else gave me a pedicure and I'm basically seeing the owner and other staff jumping in with various appointments to keep things going but they need a better system in place. My nail technician (Winnie) was very rough with my nails and did a poor job. I was barely moving and she kept scoffing and sighing at me. My cuticles are in horrible shape and my acrylic tips are all chunky and uneven. The French tip design does not looking great either, it's very uneven and some areas are missing color. When I asked if she can paint my nails a solid color instead because I wasn't happy with the result, she said she would still charge me extra since she did the French already. Went during their opening week. The studio is beautiful with tons of powder gel choices. Here is the issue- I went in with my nails shaped as rounded. When being charged, the price was $5 more. I saw on the menu that there was a $5 charge for any shape besides square. I have never experienced this before. Considering the powder gel is $40, I think it's ridiculous to charge an extra $5 considering my nails were already shaped.
