They have kids' sizes, which is appreciated. I am not an ice cream person, so I got two hand-dipped peanut butter cups, one for each hand: one milk chocolate, and the other dark chocolate. Both were delicious! We ate our treats at a table on the outdoor patio. There is lots of outdoor seating, and zero indoor seating. So, your options are to sit outside or get your goodies to go. The people who work here are polite and patient, which is also appreciated. You know how it goes when you visit a sweets shop with kids -- they can't make up their mind about what they want. They are so much bigger than the kind found in a movie theater box. My old favorite, Milk Chocolate Cherry Cordials, turned out to be one of granddaughter's faves too. I should have bought more, much more. She tried a Mud Ball for the first time and loved it. Of course we had to pick up some milk chocolate and dark chocolate caramels as well. Martinsville Candy Kitchen is a popular destination when in the downtown area. Right now you can watch the new addition being built onto the old courthouse and see the renovations taking place. The entire city block is undergoing a dramatic change from what it used to be right across the street from the Candy Kitchen.

They also have a mini golf course, playground, and multiple photo opportunities. My husband and I had intended to go for half an hour and ended up staying two hours.
