    Lovely surprise brought to picnic!
    Emily S.

My lovely friend brought a selection of donuts to the picnic. I had the tiramisu; DEAR GOD IT WAS DELICIOUS! Everyone was very happy with the flavours. Excited to try more.

Stopped by this donut shop in the afternoon and was pleasantly surprised! I tried the Biscoff cheesecake donut -- super tasty and still fairly fresh even around 2 PM. Prices are affordable, and they even have a happy hour, which makes it an even better deal. The staff were friendly and the service was pleasant. I'd definitely come back again for another treat!

Sweet Talk is such a fun little spot! Their drink menu is super creative, and I honestly had a hard time choosing...everything sounded so good. I ended up going with the Thai iced tea with cold foam, and it was fabulous: smooth, perfectly sweet, and the cold foam added the perfect creamy touch. The vibe is cute and welcoming, and I love that they also offer donuts and breakfast sandwiches...definitely coming back to try those next time. If you're looking for a fun and unique café to switch up your usual coffee run, Sweet Talk is worth a visit!

I'm updating my review. The younger girl who served us appeared to hate her job. She should absolutely not be working there with breathing under her breath and the eye rolls. If she hated her job so much, she should just quit. There was two of us. We got one donut, one Americano, an Iced matcha latte, two breakfast sandwiches, one was made a combo with their hashbrowns and a donut. This came out to approx $50! For this price or even paying a bit more, we can sit down at a breakfast place and not have the attitude. My matcha had way too much milk and my truffle breakfast sandwich didn't taste as good as before, certainly not worth the price. The hashbrowns and donut were good, hence I awarded the two stars for it.

Great donuts! We have been coming to try their donuts the last few weeks! The Happy Hour is from 3:30-4:30 and donuts are $2.75 vs $4.00 Love their flavors like Creme Brulee with the crunchy Brulee top, Mango, Salted caramel cheesecake, tiramisu stuffed donut, and their cake donuts like Triple Chocolate are also delish! The seating space inside is also pretty nice as well The water station is a nice touch!. Lots of street parking nearby. Service was excellent I would come back to try their breakfast sandwich!

Sweet Talk is a small cozy boutique type doughnuteria. Coffee & breakfast sandwiches are available as well. I popped in & tried a few flavours - Vanilla Glaze, Cinnamon Twist, Raspberry Stuffie & a Boston Creme. Tasty yummy delicious gourmet donuts indeed. Please note that the donuts will sell out so get here early indeed. If you're passing through Port Moody & absolutely love donuts - do pop in.

Known for their donuts - I've been wanting to come here for quite some time. As I was quite full already - I only decided to get one donut (raspberry filled) and was definitely not disappointed. I liked that it was a yeast donut rather than a cake donut which I am usually not as much of a fan of. I will definitely need to come back to get some more donuts!

I found this newly opened donut shop from Instagram. It has a cozy atmosphere and offers various types of old-fashioned and filled donuts. The service was very friendly. I usually dislike too much glaze or too many toppings on donuts except for special occasions. So, this shop's donuts are just to my liking. What I got are: Sour cream glazed old-fashioned, Butter toffee old-fashioned, Yuzu poppyseed old-fashioned, and Cinnamon twist. The Cinnamon Twist was a very classic and solid item. I believe the Old Fashion is one of their signature items. The texture was soft, moist, and had the perfect sweetness. My favorite was the Butter Toffee. I really want to try the filled donuts next time. I believe the Old Fashion is one of their signature items. The texture was soft, moist, and had the perfect sweetness. Some of the best donuts in Vancouver!! I was ECSTATIC to hear that a donut shop was coming to my hood. I had actually purchased a few times while they popped up in Taps and tacos. I've now had quite a few of the flavours and paid (quite) a few visits. The staff is super friendly, as well as the owners. Donuts are delicious and fresh, i don't think i can choose a favourite but some of the most notable are the Cinnamon twist, Glazed, and the Strawberries and cream. I'm so happy to support local when you know it's run well! The vibe is great as well as the coffee and location - essentially at rocky point. I have a feeling i'll be coming here a lot!

I know they're known for their donuts - but definitely give their breakfast sandwiches a try! Next time I might just opt for the egg (to enjoy the fluffiness of it) but pictured is the bacon and egg sandwich ($8). The staff are really kind and accommodating. There is some seating available as well but it can get occupied very quickly

New Donut place alert!!! "Sweet Talk".... Just opened yesterday. Came early Sunday morning, already ran out of cream brûlée. Was told it will be 30 minutes until new batch made so, I wait. It's busy, cute cafe with some seating. I grabbed some coffee, Phil & Sebastian. I grabbed the Boston cream coco nib it was good, soft and crispy edge. Excited to try others. I love all these cafes popping up in this area. Filled Donut: $4.

    The pretzel style donut. Yum!

This is a very aesthetic donut shop. There's not a lot of seating, so you're lucky to snag a spot to sit on the weekend! I went on a Saturday and got a seat. I thought the donuts were a hit or a miss. I got a stuffed donut and a pretzel style donut that were absolutely delicious! I had 2 other donuts that I had to go which tasted like Tim Hortons donuts. I would definitely recommend, especially for the pretzel style donut!! Yum

We had a reservation but it still took about 10 minutes to be seated. We had a nice seat by the water in the main dining area. It was loud but still a nice ambiance all around. We both started with soup, me the lobster bisque and him the seafood chowder. Both were delish. Side bonus was that I really loved the shape of their soup bowls! They were very ergonomic and just the perfect shape for eating soup and then angling the bowl so you could enjoy the last bits. Only disappointment was that we weren't offered any bread until our soups were almost done. The bread was crusty and served piping hot with whipped butter. Next up was the sake glazed salmon for me. It was part of the three course menu for $55. The salmon was cooked to absolute perfection and served with grilled veg and wild rice which was slightly dry but otherwise good. He got the halibut fish and chips which were also devine. Perfectly cooked and battered fish with beautifully seasoned fries that are reminiscent of their pan fried potatoes served at breakfast. The coleslaw has some kick with horseradish but overall a really great meal. Lastly, my meal came with crème brûlée for dessert and it was the perfect mix of creamy with a crunchy top. A nice finish to the meal. The service overall was okay, our server was super kind, friendly and chatty, but her timing could have been better - like brining us bread with our soup. But it was pretty busy in the restaurant, and we've absolutely had worse service. Will definitely return to this location.

I gave this place several chances as the location is nice and the view is lovely. Unfortunately,…read morewhoever they've got in the kitchen simply cannot cook food. One time, I ordered the halibut. It was overcooked to the point where it had the texture of plastic. Tough, chewy, not a whisper of seasoning. Another time, I had the salmon (which is mighty pricey, I might add). The salmon wasn't fresh. The mash it came with was, again, completely unseasoned. Not even salt? Come on. What capped it though was a Caesar salad my partner ordered that came absolutely drenched in salad dressing. You couldn't even taste anything else. Just salty, cheesy, soggy stuff. The prices they charge for this are downright criminal. Avoid, avoid, avoid. Edit: Parent company, Landry's, appears to be US-based (Texas). Anyone who is choosing to #BuyCanadian needs to be aware.
