Going out for some fine dining, The Boathouse is the place to go. Located with a oven view! We arrived for dinner just before it was to dark to see the view. The hostess greeted us at the door, she placed us by the window so we could have the view of the ocean while we eat. Wise to make reservations before arriving, this restaurant is vey busy. We ordered to start appetizers Boathouse calamari, Clam bowl, Poke bowl, Salmon, Coconut cod. For drinks we ordered Boathouse Bellini, Pineapple Smoke, Strawberry Watermelon Mojito, the drink were fantastic except the Mai Tai ( didn't meet the Hawaiian flavour) so Beers it is!! The minus one star is due to lack of service once the food arrived. Drinks took forever after ordering to arrive. Parking was a huge pain on a sunny day for their Thanksgiving menu which is very well priced and delicious! My second time to this location, other times I've had their regular menu and it has a beautiful view and excellent food

Really cool place on the banks, right next to Rocky Point Park. Excellent Ambience and a great place for enjoying drinks and snacks next to the water. We ordered Spicy Tuna with Crispy Rice, Impossible Lettuce Wraps, Sea Salt Fries, Sangria and Iced Tea. All items were tasty and the Spicy Tuna was very unique... and the Impossible Lettuce wrap tasted good. The Sangria wasn't great but the iced tea was really good. Very polite and good service and a great place to come and enjoy... Definitely pricey but You pay for the views and ambience...

As a Landry Club Select member, Boathouse is one of my favorite restaurants to dine in. I came here during Covid times. Boathouse has a lot of patio seating. Covered and uncovered. This was perfect on a super hot summer day. I made a reservation on Open Table for 3. I came with B and H. I ordered the seafood chowder (complimentary of Boathouse due to a promo that they were doing) and the fish and chips. B got the bacon cheeseburger and a coffee. You can never go wrong with the bacon cheeseburger. H got the same as me fish and chips. Prices has gone up significantly from the last time I went to a Boathouse. The food was very fresh. I really liked the seafood chowder. Unfortunately, B is not a fan of seafood chowder and there were no substitutions available. The only thing that is not cool at this restaurant is the parking. OMG, parking is so brutal here. We carpooled to the restaurant and H took 45 mins to find a parking spot. H had to drop us off to get the table while he had to find parking. We circled around multiple parking lots and they were all full. While The server told us that even employees have trouble finding parking in the area. The server knows how difficult it is to find parking especially on a hot day. Boathouse is part of Rocky Point Park. I would definitely go back but probably on a rainy day or when the weather is not so nice.

Visiting The Boathouse Restaurant in Port Moody. There's a parking lot, but busy with Rocky Point Park and Rocky Point Park Pier close by. Ordered off the Brunch Menu West Coast Benny Trio ($25) sounded interesting. Smoked salmon, crap and shrimp and Canadian back bacon egg Benedicts. Had a good taste of 3 different type of Benny's, by all three poached eggs were overcooked. Also tried Carnival Mini Donuts ($7). Comes with 6 donuts. They seems too crunchy to be fresh. Very spacious interior. Get a table by the window to get a view of the water

Not sure why there are so many low reviews but the past two times I've come here have been nothing but excellent. Our servers were personable but also knew when to give us space. Reservations are a good idea, I imagine it will get quite busy once it's summer as the views are amazing, overlooking the water and also seeing people walk their dogs along the waterfront. The food and drink were both very good, albeit on the pricey side.. we would like to come back again for our next special occasion!

They did new renovations and still the same layout for the most part. I don't particularly love the new look but don't dislike it either. It's clean, spacious and they have good service. Friendly and enthusiastic staffs. Good is delicious and drinks are good but cocktails are a bit too sweet for me. Food is still too pricey for the overall factors but they do tastes good and it's a decent portion. If I'm around and someone wanted to go, I wouldn't feel like I'm wasting my money but it also isn't my go to place. It will also never be my top choice or recommendation.

I don't know what this dessert is. But it tasted a bit old. We could taste the ice crystals. It was on the house

I should have looked at the reviews before going. I don't ever remember having bad food at any boathouse over the years but it was my first time at this location. The food this time was not bad and it's the only reason this review is getting 3 stars. I got the lobster tail which was a good meal with the coconut shrimp which was also nice as a starter. We got seated to a table closest the the windows in a corner of the restaurant. The views were nice but both the windows had bird poop smeared down them. So getting a nice anniversary photo of the great view was out of the question. I enjoyed the food but was grossly disappointed at the condition of the environment. My husband and I ended up during or before the meal killing gnats and flying ants that were flying around us and landing on us and there were dead flies along the window sill. No windows were opened around us, just to let you know. The washroom was not kept up to par as well as I went into one stall to find no toilet paper and having to skip it. The floors and carpets dirty with small debris. It doesn't hurt to have someone check washroom up to standards every half and hour and someone walking around with the carpet roller picker upper thing (you know the ones they sold at PNE) lots of restaurants use them.

Thanks to my Dad, I was able to come back to the Port Moody Boathouse for an advanced birthday lunch today. We just walked in (party of 3) just before noon and the friendly hostess sat us down by a window overlooking the Inlet. Our waiter came over right away to give us water and take our drinks order. (They must be trained to deal with business lunch folks - - which we were not but truly appreciate the efficiency.) For lunch I chose the Sesame Crusted Ahi Tuna which arrived within 7 minutes. The tuna was perfectly seared and still raw and not cold inside. It sat on a thick'sh spicy/sweet sauce which went well with tuna. The caveat for the sauce was it got ruined where it was watered down from the steamed bok choy. The shiitake rice was also inconsistent. Some of it was gloppy and hard (like it was old fried rice) and other parts were fine. The Boathouse was a nice treat from my Dad but the food is below average despite an above average service.

Staff are friendly but understaffed. Once the place filled up they were swamped. Signature steamed seafood pot - definitely on the pricey side, but they don't skimp out. Special mention for the presentation. Plenty of goodies including an entire lobster, half a large octopus (tenticle/arm half), snails, oysters, scallops, prawns, and fish balls among others. Basically everything without fish. Served in a large tray (the ones seen at banquet buffets), and everything cooked in broth. This was enough to probably feed 4-5 adults (assuming average appetites). So pretty. Deep fried squid with fries - honestly this dish was meh. Basically exactly what it sounds like. Squid is tempura style. Nothing special. I'd skip this one. Bossam (pork belly wraps) - served with tofu and spicy kimchi and some vegetable (kelp?) as well. They don't really give enough wraps compared to the pork slices. Decent portion size. My friends and I gobbled this up. This place also serves makgeolli (Korean rice wine) for a very reasonable price. Goes well with the food. Overall my friends and I left happy. Wouldn't mind coming back at some point to try some other dishes. Recommended.

However, we really enjoy the food and coziness of the room so we have continued to make Henry's one of our regular dining experiences. We were going to make reservations for later this month when I noticed a line on their website saying that a 20% gratuity had been added to the bill. I thought that maybe it was a line that had been added on because of New Year's Eve or at that the prices on the menu now reflected the 20% gratuity and no further tipping would be required. My husband sent an email to Henry's asking them to clarify what the policy was. We received a response from Jasmine "20% will be add on. It does not refer only to groups but also to each individual consumer". Sadly, we will not be going to Henry's anymore. The food is very good but the prices are already very high. We were at a Seasons in the Park last night. Their prices are less than Henry's. The setting is nicer, service was outstanding and food is very bit as good as Henry's.

We walked into the restaurant without any customers. A server seated us right away. Her service was great knowing that it was our first time to eat here and letting us know what was special and what we should try. We ordered mussels with white wine, tomatoes and herbs as appetizers and our main dishes were Penne Alfredo and Linguine Pescatora. Penne Alfredo was just a simple dish of penne with white creamy sauce and Parmesan cheese, but OMG! It was extraordinarily delicious! Chef Henry could cook this simple dish so well that I could 100% guarantee it is hard to find such a good simple dish in Greater Vancouver. Linguine Pescatora was full of seafood (shrimps, mussels, clams, scallops, and calamari) in a light spicy tomato sauce. The seafood was fresh (not frozen ones) and the texture of linguine was firm and chewy. Everything was irresistible. We would love to visit this restaurant and try other dishes in the near future. It was worth a trip to come all the way to Port Moody and eat the pasta here. (This pasta restaurant was originally located in Vancouver West.).
