This is another gem for a brunch place. Friendly service, lots of seating and good food. It did take awhile to get our food though. Despite the wait, we will return to try out other dishes.

Service could have been way better. The waitress was the most unfriendliest person and made our dining experience one of the worst. The waitress brought the check out as soon as the food was dropped off and never came back to check in. When we asked another server for water, the server poured water into a used juice glass cup we had on the table. We really wish the service would have been up to par with the food. Although there aren't many places with vegan pancake options in the area and these were one of the best tasting, we won't be coming back again because of the service.

Very decent size portions. We were able to only eat half and take the rest home. My husband had the Georgia Skillet bowl. It had lots of sausage and chicken and the Sunnyside up eggs were cooked perfectly. Came with side of pancakes. Which were thick and soft. Soaked up the syrup very nicely. I had the country crepes. They were like 2 burritos size stuffed crepes. Crepes were sweet and the sausage and gray is homemade and delicious. Had a good balance of sweet and savory. Coffee was really good too and had a variety of creamers to choose from. They actually offer almond and oat milk. Definitely recommend to try this place and plan to come back to try the Biscuits and Gravy.

My friends and I had dropped by before dropping by a toy convention in hopes of finding great food with a homestyle feel. Let me say, the food was good! You get exactly what you pay for in terms of quality in food and portion sizes. The service was unfortunately lacking and our waitress had a large part in watering down our experience. Having passed our table several times without closing out our check, despite our table being visibly done with our food. We had to ask another waitress to ask our waitress for the check. Our waitress checked in with us a total of 2 times throughout our dine in. Initially to take our order, and then to bring us our check. The atmosphere certainly gave local and homestyle.

We love Sweet Toast!! The food is exceptional and the service is always wonderful. I order the same thing every time I come here because it's just that good. I get the bacado omelette, hash browns with cheese and upgrade to the cinnamon swirl pancakes. Yummm. The restaurant is very homey and the owner is always there whenever I come in. Love supporting this small business!

The food and service both exceeded our expectations! Friendly customer service from beginning to end, which is hard to find anymore. Food served quickly & hot. They leave a pot of coffee on the table so that you aren't waiting for it to be served. We will definitely be back!!

Average and overpriced. Rise and Bite, among others, is just as good and reasonably priced.

In light of Rosh Hashanah, we were looking for Jewish places to eat and came across Schmaltz Deli…read more We never knew there was a Jewish deli in the area and boy were we missing out. As soon as we walked in, we knew it was going to be a great experience. They have plenty of indoor and outdoor tables available as well as a traditional deli counter. They also have a drive thru! You can choose to order at the counter or be seated with a more traditional restaurant-like service. Our waiter was young but very professional and provided great recommendations. To start, they bring a complimentary bowl of bagel chips (a unique twist and a great way to repurpose old bagels). For my meal, I had a half American sandwich with a bowl of matzo ball soup. It was simple but delicious. On our way out, we stopped at the deli and ordered a few rugelach. They tasted so fresh! My favorite was the apricot flavor. Definitely hope to be back real soon to support such a great spot! Shana Tova!

3.5 stars, but rounded up because I didn't feel they deserved any deduction…read more I was REALLY looking forward to their #20 Old New Yorker, which I got in their Navel Cut pastrami. It was a solid 7, which is why I place it at 3.5 stars. I may be being picky here but it just wasn't to the level of "melt-in-your-mouth" pastrami standards for me. Not to say it wasn't good, because it was perfectly fine. In fact, it's better than most of the pastrami sandwiches I tried in Chicagoland. Maybe it's the fact that I had to bring it back to the office to eat it, and half hour had gone by and pastrami weren't as warm and the Jewish rye had become soggy by the time I took the first bite. I mean, it goes without saying that the sandwich would have been 3 times better had I sat down immediately and had it. Again, all things considered, it was a perfectly good sandwich. One interesting thing was that I had never been to an establishment that included a half sour pickle instead of a normal one and gotta say, I was pleasantly surprised. Pickles can be a hit or a miss for me. I like my pickles to be crunch, but some places offer overripened ones that become borderline mushy. Schmaltz's half sour pickle was not overly salty or sour, making it very attractive for me. The more I'm thinking about it, I'm convinced that I'll have to go back and try their #14 Sloppy Paul, which is the corned beef with sauerkraut, which is another favorite of mine. And this time, I'll be sure to dine in and give another review of it to see how much I like them better.
