We like this place! We'be been here once or twice before and it's been okay but today was particularly nice. Very family friendly; old school breakfast/lunch diner. They have high chairs and booster seats which are toddler requirements! Got a Belgium waffle for the kids to annihilate and split a chicken fried steak with biscuits and gravy with the hubs. Super attentive waitress even with it being busy Saturday morning. We'll be back.

Absolutely astonishing food service and very nice waiters. The floors are insanely clean

Mannn this sandwich was sooooo good. I had a feeling it was going to be good and I'm so glad it exceeded my expectations. I didn't feel like eating any greasy fast food and I wanted something a bit more subtle and this was a good choice. The only thing was my salad. The Caesar dressing was a bit different.. that's all I can say about that but my croutons were like soft and kinda soggy. Don't know what that was about. They looked very crunchy but wasn't so that was a let down. Couldn't really eat my salad but the sandwich was good. Fries were nice and fresh as well

Nice little breakfast cafe. My group of 4 went on a Sunday morning and were seated as soon as we arrived. Had to park on the street as parking is limited. Food took about 15 minutes to be served. Food was about what I was expecting. I got the the El Torero Scrambler without Chorizo with a side of hash browns and substituted the pancakes for Red Velvet French toast. El Torero Scrambler - 7/10 Hash browns - 7/10 (wished they were crispier) Red Velvet French toast - 8/10 (a tad sweet, but would recommend) Pancakes - 6/10 (typical at home pancakes, nothing spectacular) Overall it's your typical breakfast and brunch place. Have had better, but would come back again.

Russian is killer. Roast beef, corned beef and Swiss.

We really enjoyed our lunch. Great split pea soup. I had the Russian sandwich and sis had veggie panini, which was our server's favorite too. Service was prompt and friendly. Will have to try them again for breakfast,

Would give this place a solid 3.5 stars! I have been here a handful of times as I live in GE. Food is decent. Consistent. Solid. I ordered a veggie omelet, and it was pretty good. The veggies and cheese were plentiful, my wheat toast was warm, the hash browns were browned as I requested, and the bacon was okay. If you are looking for a solid breakfast, I would come here. If you are looking for a great breakfast, check out some of my other reviews. I do have to say that I find the restaurant very comfortable. Service has also always been pretty good. Food solid just nothing special.

Numerous times, I have caught them overcharging and quoting weights that were larger than what it was. I stopped going to their questionable integrity. I have gone here for over 20 years, and during most visits I have not been treated well. The ladies have been unhelpful, or closed-mouthed when answering my questions, and just simply unfriendly. Perhaps they are just over-worked or tired. At least that's how I justified their off-handed treatment of me, and my continued patronage over the years. So I put up with a fleeting moment of mistreatment. But today, that same old bad attitude appeared after I asked a simple question during my visit, that could've been answered more directly & easily. I questioned myself why do I even bother, especially when their produce isn't superior to other places I can go, to get farm fresh produce. There are more farmer's markets around, such as McDonald's Farm at Knoch Knolls Park in Naperville. Maybe my visits were wrapped in (wannabe) nostalgia, or due to convenience of location. Whatever, today I hit the top of my tolerance for their rude-ish treatment. This decision should have been made after an earlier visit this summer when a cashier looked at me crazy because I did not leave an electronically-produced request for a tip. For what?? Standing there just doing your job ringing up an order??? And lastly, their produce isn't the tastiest, and is really overpriced in comparison to other places around. I guess I kind of felt sorry & wanted to support the place. But no more. I am finally done. Fed up and moving on. Mayneland Farm is no longer an option for me.

Each of the years has been very different…read more Pros: Fresh veggies delivered to my door every Sunday between late June and into late October. Variety of stuff that I wouldn't always think to purchase at the store. Forces me to try new things. Supporting a small farmer that grows food naturally. Cons: Expensive - For $19 a week I just don't feel like I am getting very much, but there is a delivery charge basically included in the cost. The variety comes over the course of a season. But due to the way that veggies grow, you are likely to get a lot of something for a couple of weeks when it is in season. I am often overwhelmed with too many onions, cabbages, greens, etc. in any given week or consecutive weeks. Actual farm is in Wisconsin, not IL. Not really as local as I had hoped. But what did I expect since I live in the Chicago suburbs. Tomatoes are delivered green. It just isn't the same. I have also purchased the bulk beef and pork from Wellhausen. I was interested in getting a variety of farm raised meat wrapped in old fashioned butcher paper. My first disappointment was when I received the meat and it was only wrapped in a single sheet of paper that ripped easily was the frozen beef poked through it. I gave this feedback to Farmer Jim and he said he would pass it on the the butcher. Then the next year I ordered a half of a pig. The wrapping has the same shortcomings. One observation about naturally raised cows... the meat is very lean. What I learned is that I actually like a little fat in my beef. For instance, the ribeye was so lean that it was too tough and dry for my taste. I am really torn about how I feel about doing business with Wellhausen Farms. Each year I have reasons why I say that I am going to cancel, but then I keep doing signing up and hoping that things will get better. I really like the idea, but I am not fully satisfied with the execution. I just can't use this many onions! I am giving a 3 star rating because they are good, but not great. Perhaps my expectations are not in line with what Wellhausen has to offer. Perhaps someone else will love them. I don't discourage anyone from giving this a try, I just cannot heartily recommend it. Maybe next year will be better...

The first few weeks we weren't sure what time it would be dropped off, but once Farmer Jim gets his route figured out, the delivery is about the same time every week. I had one of the most upsetting and disrespectful experiences at this location on Thursday, July 17th around 7:51 PM. I came in on my work break to pick up just two items: a plant-based Italian beef and an avocado that was clearly placed in the section marked "4 for $5." However, it rang up as $2.99. What followed was nearly 20 minutes of frustration and poor treatment. A young cashier delayed helping me, questioned me about the price in a condescending tone, and then called a manager who treated me even worse. Not only did the manager refuse to honor the price I saw posted, but he also accused me of switching the avocado sticker--a claim that was extremely offensive and baseless. I offered for them to review the security footage, and they refused. I felt racially profiled and disrespected over a simple produce item. As a Black woman, I can't ignore how I was treated in comparison to how I've seen other customers treated here. This experience left a bad taste in my mouth, and I will not be returning to this store. I hope management will address how they treat customers with more respect and dignity going forward.
