Easily the highlight of the meal. The platter came with two sides and homemade cornbread. The cornbread was light, delicate, slightly sweet, and very good. For sides I chose the grilled green beans and house smashed potatoes. The green beans were actually grilled and tossed with mushrooms and onions which gave them great flavor, and the smashed potatoes were solid too. The cake was rather expensive at $56 for 16 servings. It was beautifully decorated in a fall theme, And the carrot cake itself was very moist although not at all carrot tasting. The icing was clawingly sweet and had a strong coffee taste. I don't think the icing was flavored in any way but there are such a strong coffee aroma in the shop it permeates everything. I am a woman who loves coffee but it's very very strong and that little shop. The cake was so bad none of us finished our pieces. I have half a cake on my counter that no one will eat, and I will probably end up tossing. I am so disappointed .
