This was such a nice and inviting place in downtown Dillon. The coffee was great and rich in taste. I tried one of their specialty lattes and delicious. The staff was friendly and the place was very relaxed and welcoming, with the brick walls and cool rustic feel. The food was good, great tasty pastries. It's definitely a place to hang out with friends, or get a little work done. read more

Great place to get my hot morning latte. Super cute vibe with random door art and real flowers on the tables. Loved the exposed brick and cedar ceiling. Stopped in for cold brew and boy was it good! The inside is decorated very nicely and the establishment is clean and well kept. I love me some good, local coffee. Went to another cafe but they were closed. Their loss is my gain, we found Sweetwater coffee. Whether you are passing through or staying in Dillon, stop by and get a cup of Joe. They have an extensive menu of flavors to choose from. Today I picked an English toffee latte with oat milk. We were passing through town and stopped at the Sweetwater for a quick bite. It was my first time, but it's my wife's go-to spot to stop when in town. She had the Turkey with cream cheese and I had the Sammy, both were excellent. The cookie was warm and delicious, and the Arnold Palmer was really good. But the kicker was 15 minutes after leaving, I got an email that my debit card was left behind, I appreciated them getting ahold of us before we made it too far down the road. I stopped in to get coffee on a Saturday. The woman behind the counter informed me that they were having a private party. I apologized and asked if I had missed a sign on the door. She said no, but she had put up, "...that thing that you just walked around [snicker]." The thing in question was a small plant on a small stand a few feet back from the door. I asked her if that had a note on it, and she said, "No, but we're just never open on Saturdays." I am not a local, so I would not know that. Considering it is really unusual for a coffee shop to be closed Saturdays, a private party should be clearly communicated at the door. What an awkward situation. The employee was rude about it. We had an overnight stop in Dillon while on a 10-day motorbike ride to Glacier National Park. In search of good coffee we found Sweetwater about a 20 minute walk from our hotel. We were quite surprised at the spacious, yet comfortable atmosphere and an extremely friendly and helpful staff. Our Americanos were outstanding as well as the baked oatmeal dish. We stopped at Sweetwater Coffee on a cold and snowy wintery day. The place was warm and inviting with a folksy artsy and spacious interior decorated with cheerfully reclaimed doors. We had breakfast sandwiches, oatmeal and coffees. Everything was excellent. The food was great, the coffee was perfect and the servers were attentive. They cheerfully filled a thermos with hot water as we were heading out for a long drive north. Let me tell you, the coffee was delightful. If I lived closer I would become a regular. read more

Absolutely outstanding coffee shop. Great food (breakfast) and coffee. Wait staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. The interior is redone like 19th century brickwork, very spacious and airy. Hands down best we experienced in Dillon, and, trip post-mortem, the best we experienced after 10 days touring MT. Totally hit it, whether staying in Dillon or just passing by in I-15. read more

Fantastic place. The gluten free oatmeal was best oatmeal I've ever had. Owner was super conscientious about my son's Celiacs disease (gluten) and nut allergy. She accommodated everything so confidently. Very reassuring. And the place is huge - so spacious and nicely furnished. Would come here all the time if I lived near Dillon. Sweetwater is small on the outside (easy to miss because of tree cover right on the sidewalk) but expansive on the inside. The huge space features a western upscale look with wood floors, ceilings and highlights, and grungy red-brick walls. It's spacious and extremely inviting. I stopped for breakfast after camping just south of Dillon - needing coffee, breakfast and some wifi to help plan my days' travel. Sweetwater delivered generously on all three counts. The coffee (and americano drip) was delicious, the breakfast sandwich was scrumptious, and the staff couldn't have been nicer. A perfect place to spend an hour sipping, browsing and making plans. Oh, and their wi-fi password was perfect - hit my personal sweetspot with a bullseye! read more

Cute place BUT the coffee was weak and tasted like they are using regular beans instead of espresso beans. They also treated me like I was stupid; I ordered a 16 ounce hot latte and a 20 ounce cold latte. Both came in the same paper cups, which were 12 ounce hot cups. I mentioned it to the barista and she said that was a 16 ounce. My cup was literally the same size as the 20 ounce cold latte that was served in a hot cup. Will not be back. read more

I absolutely love this shop! The peanut butter/chocolate frosted cookies are to die for and their Italian sodas are delicious! But the pasta is... "muah"!! Sara has created an environment that makes us want to stop by Sweetwater Coffee every time we return to visit our family in Dillon. Regardless of the number of years between our visits, Sara always recognizes us and treats us great. One time she actually made a special batch of cookies for us several hours before the coffee shop even opened simply because we needed to get an early start on the road back home. Customer service doesn't get better than that!! Can't wait until our next trip to Montana! read more

This is a cute place in "downtown" Dillon. It's in a historic building with beautiful architecture, and the owners have decorated with great, eclectic style, making for a cozy, homey place to stop in for a cup of coffee, and if you're so inclined, a quick bite. They have a limited menu of basic sandwiches and salads, and plenty of coffee offerings and pastries. After spending a little too much at the Patagonia outlet next door, I stopped in for a quick bite before heading on down the road. I had an iced tea and a turkey sandwich. The food was fairly tasty for an establishment that isn't really a full-service restaurant, and the tea tasted home brewed (not powdered). Next trip in I'll fuel up with some caffeine too. Very friendly service. Cute space. Feels very unassuming and chill which is always a nice change of pace in a coffee shop. I ordered a 1/2 decaf americano. The overall flavor was a little too roast-y for my taste but it wasn't bad. My friend had a chai latte which she said was very good. I can't see me ever going back, seeing as how I live in NC (I was visiting a friend). But if you are in the area and looking for a cup of caffeine, or even just 1/2 caffeine, check this place out. read more
