We came just few weeks after area was hit by hurricane Helene. They got it quickly back up and…read morerunning. They have gorgeous spots right on the river and I could hear the river as I slept and it was so soothing!! The owners are wonderful people and really want campers to enjoy every aspect of their stay. They came out when we came in to help us back camper in our spot. It's very close to town like 5 min drive but felt out in country. Our spot had a picnic table and fire pit. They have a pretty good size bath house with vending machines and at as use washers and dryers which would be good for long stays! Shower stalls were individual bathrooms for privacy .. updated and very clean. We came before Halloween and it had decor for the holiday.. you could stay in camper, they had cabins, and tepees for unique stay. Most were damaged by storm but will be ready for following year. I thought that was really interesting.. i read reviews from previous years about wifi being terrible but we didn't have that issue. We didn't really spend all day at campground we came to see and spend time in the area so we were only using wifi at night and in morning with coffee. I would highly recommend this campground.. it was a great stay and I hated to leave.

Very kid and dog friendly! The bathhouse is brand new, so lovely, and is the cleanest bathhouse I've ever been in at an RV park. The owners are some of the kindest people we've met in NC, super accommodating, ensured we liked our spot, and set up a picnic table and fire pit for us to use at the site. Truly the best Campground we've ever stayed at. I highly recommend staying here, whether for a night, a week, or for a long term!!!

Views of beautiful tall trees…read more The sites are very spacious on large gravel surrounded by green grass that run all along the creek where you can dip your feet in, throw in a line, observe the Ducks and Blue Heron or just listen to the serene sound of the water. It also is a short drive to many activities should you choose. A short drive to the quaint town of Murphy for vintage shopping, wine tasting, brewery and plenty of places to grab a bite. We highly recommend the fried pickles at Chevelle's! Owners, Jon and Eileen are so welcoming and always available if needed. New bathroom/showers will be finished by Spring 2024. They said the bed was super comfortable and the room was clean. It is our preferred place to stay when in the area as we tried the KOA once, and it's definitely a KO-nAy for us. One of the best places we have ever camped!…read more We had a large concrete pad large enough for our fifth wheel and patio space beside it. It was equipped with a very nice fire pit and a large stack of firewood included in the price. One staff member led us to our site in a golf cart, and another was already there to guide me while backing in. I have never before had this level of parking assistance! One of our slides jammed when we tried to extend it. The owner and two or three of his staff spent at least an hour trying to help us. We didn't have any luck, but the staff recommended a local mobile RV repair guy who was on site in about an hour and solved the problem. The park's cable TV service is head and shoulders above anything else we have ever seen. The area is full of natural beauty, and there are many places to get delicious food within a five to ten minute drive. Need groceries? Publix, Ingles, and Food Lion are just 15 minutes away, and Walmart about 20 minutes. Cross Creek RV Park is a great example of Western North Carolina hospitality at it's finest!

Covered bike parking, wall map with suggested rides, nice little amenities, but the warm hosts really made it. Very quiet at night, lovely site and the price can't be beat. A real pleasure and I look forward to coming back.
