Residential projects are now part of my past but a part of me remains skeptical of inspectors until I'm convinced otherwise. Charles has met and exceeded all expectations in his role as home inspector of a house we are purchasing from out of state. His communications have been timely, detailed, and clear. He was always open to discussion about our general concerns or questions. What's more, his reports were presented in a detailed, interactive format that was easily navigated and provided the creation of a repairs list (including many pictures taken during the inspection) to share with other parties in the purchase. His fair and comprehensive assessment of the conditions on the property and the ease with which his reports could be reviewed resulted in a smooth and more secure purchase process with no opposition from the sellers (including the repair request) or concerns from either agent. Lastly, the service included multiple inspection reports - sometimes required by insurance companies - and a lengthy phone discussion about the findings. His fee, especially when considering all that he offers, is a great deal.

I am an experienced real estate investor and have bought and sold many properties. I usually find…read moremy own home inspector when I purchase a house but I mistakenly decided to use this inspector recommended by the realtor I used. This company did poor job inspecting the home I purchased. House is only 11 years old but was full of mold and the roof had 2 significant leaks that the inspector completely missed. One leak was so bad the water poured through the ceiling on the 2nd floor. Unfortunately this was discovered after his 120 day warranty had passed by 30 days because house was purchased during the dry season. A contractor I brought in to fix the issue confirmed to me that this was not a new leak and had been leaking for some time. When I reached out to the inspector he refused to address the main issue - the roof leaks and went on and on about how he can't see what's behind the walls. Previous inspections on other houses I have purchased checked for moisture in the walls using a special instrument. Evidently this was not done. Bottom line- I would not recommend this company. There are plenty of other home inspection companies out there.
