I have been a customer of Villa Automotive since 2010, when I moved here for Cal Poly. For many…read moreyears, I trusted your shop with my vehicle and maintained a long standing relationship with your staff. I knew your employees by name and remember Miss Kitty, the shop cat who used to chase mice around the property. Because of this history, I expected to be treated with seriousness, professionalism, and respect. That has not been my recent experience. In spring 2025, Villa Automotive replaced the front panel on my car. The repair took approximately eight days. When I arrived to pick up my vehicle, the panel was blue while my car is black. This error was immediately obvious and should never have passed inspection. Correcting it required additional time and inconvenience on my part. This reflects a lack of basic quality control. The more serious issue involves my splash shield. I brought my vehicle in because the shield had started to come loose. Your shop completed the service on a Saturday and charged me one hundred dollars. Less than two weeks later, while driving up the grade, the splash shield detached from the vehicle entirely. This created a dangerous situation and forced me to pull over on the grade to retrieve it from the roadway. When I inspected the shield, I discovered it had been secured using zip ties. Charging one hundred dollars for this type of temporary and unsafe repair is unacceptable. This method failed almost immediately and directly compromised my safety. When I returned to the shop with the failed part and requested a refund, I was told no and informed that this was the best that could be done. This response made it clear that my safety concerns were not being taken seriously. I felt dismissed rather than heard, despite presenting clear evidence that the repair had failed and put me at risk. After more than a decade of loyalty, I expected accountability and a willingness to stand behind your work. Instead, my concerns were minimized and disregarded. I no longer trust Villa Automotive to perform safe or competent repairs, nor do I feel confident that customer safety is a priority. As a result, I will obviously not be returning.

I stopped by and Mark took a look and told me that he'd grab his stuff. Minutes later, he came back with a bottle of "magic potion" and wiping cloth. Minutes later, the scraping marks were gone. No charge, just a friendly handshake to say goodbye. There are "highly rated" and there is highly rated. The Dent Shop is the later.

In October, I brought in my car for repairs/painting. They informed me a part was needed and would be ordered. Understanding potential holiday delays, I followed up in January--only to be told the part had been ordered but it was "someone else's fault" for the delay. Fair enough, I waited. In February, I called again: the part was in, but then they asked when I'd pick it up. Confused, I reminded them the work included painting--they responded they weren't sure they could even work on my car because it's "high-end." This information would have been incredibly helpful back in October, saving me months of waiting. The representative said a manager would call me back. No call came. Two weeks later, I called and spoke to someone claiming to be a manager--they promised to look into it and call back. Again, nothing. Now in March, I called once more: the manager was "out of town," they needed "approval" to proceed on my vehicle, and--surprise--no callback followed. I've been patient and reasonable throughout, giving them every chance to resolve this over multiple months. This level of disorganization, repeated broken promises, lack of follow-through, and sudden hesitation on high-end work after initial acceptance shows a complete disregard for my time, trust, and business. I will never take any of my cars to any Caliber Collision location again. It's disappointing to end a long positive history this way, but the lack of respect and professionalism is beyond tolerable. If you're considering Caliber, think twice--especially for anything specialized or time-sensitive.

Instead of giving me an estimate, the customer service representative there (Travis) referred me to DentPro. Travis told me that auto body repair would be overkill -- and overpriced -- because they would sand and paint the car, which was unnecessary, since the paint hadn't been broken. Travis told me that Jeff at DentPro was "an artist," with whom his shop worked frequently, and who could repair dents in which the paint wasn't broken much more affordably than an auto body shop could. I immediately called and texted Jeff at DentPro, and waited to hear back. A few minutes later, I coincidentally spotted Jeff's truck (which I recognized by the large "DentPro" label, on the side), driving alongside me, rolled down my window, and asked him at a red light whether he had time to take a look. He said he did, so we pulled into a parking lot. He gave me an estimate and an appointment, on the spot. A few days later, he performed the work, in the very same parking lot. He repaired two dents, in less than 40 minutes. He did such a good job, that I can't even tell where the dents were. He even repaired a third, tiny dent, which I hadn't even mentioned to him, for free. His rate was extremely reasonable, and he couldn't have been friendlier. I even got to play with his five-month-old puppy -- and get some shopping done -- while I waited. If and when my car gets dinged again, I'll be sure to call Jeff again.

Luis matched the color exactly ! He is presently repainting my car and his attention to detail , professionalism and years of knowledge is getting to be a rare combination to find these days . I have not written many reviews but after reading a review which I personally know doesn't hold a bit of truth , I wanted people to know that you will not find a more talented , honest and genuinely friendly man to take care of your vehicle than Luis . Almost forgot to mention .... The friend who told me about Elite Auto has a beautiful Cooper S that had a decent sized area under the windshield that needed replacing . After payment in full and bringing the issues to Luis attention the same day - owner refused to repaint the areas without being paid a second time. And refused to return money. Called x 5 and ghosted. I ended up taking the vehicle over the hill to Paso Robles's where Calderon Autobody did an excellent job of repainting the areas ruined by Elite. I reported Elite to the BBB. Avoid this shop - they don't stand by their work! Worth driving over the grade.
