There was another staff that came by to check and the only time she ever came back was when we had to ask another server for the bill and she brought it over. We ordered the steak & eggs which was $28 and it was not edible. It looked like stir fry, chewy and tough as if it was the last portion sitting in a pan on top of the stove. It was so salty we had to let them know we couldn't eat it without getting hypertension and I assume the manager came over to give us a fresh one to go but still the beef was tough to eat. We also got the spicy Nashville Benny for $25 and the chicken looked as if it was frozen from a bag, nothing nashville about it. The smoked salmon benny was just as disappointing with two small pieces of salmon on each, you could barely see the existence of it. The only thing that looked and tasted good was the tres leches pancake which came out fresh, fluffy and presentable.

The experience here was not like any restaurant I've ever been to especially in the states. The staff were so friendly and kind. They made us feel like we were apart of the family. Our server kept saying she was so happy we found their restaurant. So happy we came to visit. She was so sweet. Let's talk food. DELICIOUS!!! Everything is made fresh. They give a pretty large portion I feel everything is shareable. I do not like turkey bacon at all. I don't know why they did to this turkey bacon or if it was because we were in Canada. I can't stop thinking about it or the blueberry pancakes. When we come back to Toronto we will definitely stop back by. Good service, a nice family environment, and good food is hard to come by. This place definitely has it all.

I'll be back just for this. Highly recommended! We also ordered a Double Smash Burger ($16.95) and NEW Biscoff Milkshake ($9.95). Both were very impressive and flavourful. The owner was there and super friendly. I could tell why there are so many good reviews for this restaurant. Absolutely satisfying dinner experience here. Willing to come back next time :)

While it was busy, and there were a lot of families and large groups there, we were able to sit down immediately. The parking was readily available in front of the restaurant, and we could see multiple servers and a host all working. While we ordered rather quickly, and the food came out in a reasonable amount of time, it took quite a while to refill water, have someone check on us, or get the check. I certainly understand restaurants being busy, though it would have helped for the servers to help each other's tables as need be like other restaurants I've been to. The food though was very good! We all ordered from the All Day Breakfast. I ordered the "All Day Breakfast" consisting of 3 eggs any style (I ordered scrambled), with bacon, ham or sausage (I picked bacon), toast and French fries. My sister ordered a Mediterranean Omelette, which came with onions, red and green peppers, mushrooms, and feta. She also ordered sweet potato French fries, which should have been only $1 more but we were charged $4 or so more by accident (and we didn't catch that until we got home). My cousin ordered the "3 Eggs" breakfast consisting of 3 eggs any style served with toast and French fries. Again, everything tasted great and was prepared well. I have memories of family members taking me to Windfield's as that used to be my grandmother's only go-to restaurant. She would go there for any meal, and while I think we all would roll our eyes when she would suggest we go there (as it was so often), I've come to realize that she enjoyed going for the community. She knew the servers and host well and also many of the patrons who were regulars there with their families. My grandmother would walk from table to table saying hello to many familiar faces while making new friends and learning what they were eating. While my grandmother is now 100 years old, she rarely leaves home for meals. My sister, my cousin, and I enjoyed our breakfast there today, and my sister recognized the server while I recognized the host. We showed a photo to our server, and she immediately recognized my grandmother and my aunt and asked about them. As the website (https://www.windfieldsrestaurant.com) states, Winfield's is "A Taste of Home." It has been "serving families since 1994" including my family from the very beginning since they opened. I will likely be back there with other family members on future visits!

It was hearty and flavorful! The eggs were very runny and I used the English muffins and delicious garlic home fries to soak it all up! I'm most pleasantly surprised that we can order from the brunch menu at dinner. I didn't try the AAA steak but I was told that this was absolutely delicious and he wished it was a bigger portion. The rice underneath is a pilaf :) Service was standard. I mean, I don't come here for the service anyway. It's a slightly upscale atmosphere here, no sweatpants please!

We were then told that the business will be going through a rebrand with a new name and new menu offerings. For the moment the only thing that has changed is the menu. The exterior and interior is exactly the same. Flavours are very Asian fusion with things like kimchi fried rice and bi bim bap but there are also more mainstream items such as Rigatoni Alfredo with chicken and short rib Benedict. Flavours are still good with decent portions. We were checked on several times so service was good. What was a miss was how the food came out of the kitchen. Food came out sporadically with the last dish a full 10 minutes after the first leaving that person sitting and waiting while everyone else ate. This is still a very popular place. It was almost full for a Monday lunch.
