    Rose ravioli and chicken schnitzel
    Zeynep K.

Long story short: Delicious and affordable! Great spot for a nice lunch or dinner. Long story long: I ordered the rosé butternut squash/ricotta ravioli with chicken schnitzel and it was tasty, fresh and hot. The fried halloumi appetizers was a huge hit for our table. My group also had half and half Nutella and Lotus Rozalach for dessert. The Nutella was much more flavourful, the Lotus (Bischoff cookie) one was lacking. The service was great, Belle was a gem and super attentive. The decor was lovely - like any other Cafe Landwer, upscale dîner style and clean. I've had their brunch before and remember it being quite good, but was pleasantly surprised of their dinner menu. Smaller, more specialized selection which made it easier to narrow down our choices. Highly recommend!

Great service and food. Nice and cozy atmosphere. I went there twice in a week because I was around that area, but I didn't mind going back there. Great place for catching up with others and sit and chat. Not too busy for brunch dusmring weekdays.

I tried the Truffle Mushroom and cream Pappardelle with Schnitzel (meat cutlet) and Shawarma Plate. The pasta was creamy and tasty, and the schnitzel added some texture to the meal. The shawarma plate came with spiced chicken, hummus, hot chili paste, pickles, pita, and chopped salad. That meal was surely loaded and bursting with flavors and colors.

I have now gone twice and in terms of coffee, which this review is for, it's great. I had an iced Nutella latte my first time there and it was delicious and the second time I went I had the tahini ice latte. Both are delicious but very different. The Nutella was sweet as to be expected and the tahini which I didn't know what to expect was surprisingly also great. It wasn't very sweet but it was excellent. The service is relatively quick considering how busy they always seem to be and they are very accommodating. My party wanted to bring their own dessert for the bday girl and they were very happy to provide the plate. I like how fast paced it is and I like the decor. I will probably go back! But it is pretty pricey I will say!

My partner and I took our friends from Montreal here for weekend brunch and weren't disappointed! Vibrant ambiance. Delicious food. Friendly and welcoming service from all the staff. Our server Christine was lovely. Great new location for C.L. Our new go-to spot for sure! Will be back :)

Delicious food, beautiful platting, I got the spaghetti and it was very filling and scrumptious. In addition, the service was really nice.

I forgot to…read moretake a picture of the foie gras, but it was incredibly rich and flavorful, and the grilled pineapple helped cut through the richness. Food: 5/5 Service: 5/5…read moreAmbiance: 4/5 Food: We had our office holiday dinner here and 15 people attended. We did a set menu which had 3 courses. The first course was Labneh with bread, hummus, & beef tartare. Second course was Lamb pide & pear salad. Third course was grilled branzino, middle eastern fried chicken, black truffle rice, and thrice cooked fries. Then there was dessert which was chocolate mousse cake & baklava. Because of my many food allergies the main server for our table was very attentive & specific in asking me what I wanted as modifications. For example I got a wagyu beef pide instead of the lamb. Every dish was really delicious, presented well & quite filling. I couldn't eat all of the food. Though I tried almost everything. Service: The pacing of the dishes was quite masterful. They really paid attention to when the food was going to come out. As I mentioned above the main server was very attentive to my food allergies. I really appreciated that as some restaurants aren't as attentive. The food was served family style so everyone could take what they wanted from the serving dishes. The dishes were served in little bowls along the tables with each bowl serving about 4 people. We had asked for one long table so it was a little snug. But we made it work. Ambiance: For dinner the lighting of the space is really dim. LOL. I would have appreciated just a little bit more light. The restaurant is in an old building so to use the washroom you had to go down two flights of stairs. The dining area is small also. But it's a pretty space. As mentioned above we asked for one long table to seat 15 people. I was expecting square tables but it was a bunch of small round tables pushed together. So the tables were really crowded with food from all the dishes. But the servers made sure to take empty serving dishes away as soon as possible. The music was a little loud for me so I had to yell to be heard. The place was packed though. Everyone at our table enjoyed the food, the service & atmosphere. The restaurant is close to Roy Thompson Hall & the other theatres nearby so it's a convenient location as well. It's too bad this place is only open for dinner. I would have loved to see how they would operate a lunch time service. In any case, Byblos was amazing. I would come back here again to try other dishes! Note: Some of my pics of the main dishes didn't turn out so it's mostly desserts that are pictures

The open fish market adds to the experience, and the drink selection is solid. Parking isn't the easiest (expect nearby office garages) but if you're there for a weekday dinner, they offer complimentary valet at the St. Regis, which helps. Service 5/5 Top tier. Staff are polished, attentive, and actually know the menu. Recommendations were on point, and everything felt seamless without being overbearing. It's the details that make it stand out, the attention to detail and the care when serving and presenting the food. Food 4.5/5 Went with the lunch menu (great value with an appetizer and main). Quality is consistent with what you'd expect from Milos: fresh, simple, and done properly. They're also mindful of time; if you mention you're on a tight schedule, they can accommodate a one-hour lunch without making it feel rushed. Had the salmon along with salmon tartare and the octopus. Good variety for the prix fixe lunch menu too. So far the best salmon tartare I've had in city.

If you're pressed for time, just let them know when you order - they'll plan to have you out within the hour, or they pick up the tab. I, on the other hand, was in no rush. The staff read the room, paced the meal accordingly, and let us linger comfortably. With four starters and eight mains to choose from (three with supplements), there's plenty of variety, though seafood clearly takes centre stage. I leaned fully into the sea and wasn't disappointed. The salmon tartare was surprisingly, with large chunks of fresh salmon tossed with herbs and finely minced red pepper, giving the dish a bright, meaty freshness. In the dead of winter, that first bite genuinely felt like sunshine - apologies for getting philosophical, but it really hit home. While crostini were scarce, every table receives a basket of freshly grilled bread and a wasteful pour of olive oil. Carb lovers don't worry, there's plenty to scoop up that tartare. The whole dorade royal grilled might sound exotic, but you've likely seen it elsewhere under its more familiar name: sea bream. At Milos, it arrives deboned and finished simply with olive oil, herbs, and capers. That said, if you're squeamish about bones, proceed with caution as the deboning accuracy seems to vary. My plate had only a couple stragglers, while my dining companion's fish had several lingering behind. The dish is simple, clean, and ideal for lunch, so it satisfies without tipping you into post-meal drowsiness. The steamed vegetables were overcooked, though that may appeal to those who prefer their cruciferous vegetables soft rather than crunchy. For anyone who wants to channel a bit of Don Draper energy without returning to work tipsy, Milos' 3oz lunch pours are a great idea. And if you decide to lean in just a little more, they can easily be doubled into a proper glass.

It's perhaps unfair to judge, because though I enjoyed my steak wrap (and it didn't claim to be shawarma), I didn't enjoy it as much as getting a shawarma at many other places and also spent nearly twice the amount. It was still fairly good however, and the $5 draught beer special was a good deal for sure. I still don't regret getting this ahead of the Raptors game and getting food that would have been even more expensive and nowhere near as good.

In a pita with garlic aioli, sour cream, tomato and pickles.") Who can say no to a concoction like that? Not this guy, that's for sure. It was probably about 15 minutes between the time I ordered and when I got the food, so this is clearly not the place to go if you're in a rush. But I'd say the food was worth the wait. That cheese crust is the obvious star of the show here, while the fresh, soft bread is also quite delicious. The other components are tasty too, but the patty itself is the weakest link. It didn't have any kind of crust and just seemed a little on the bland side. But that's a minor complaint for a rather decadent lunch that I quite enjoyed eating.

Overall the food was fine, but the price is a bit high for what you get. For $13-15, you get a skewer of meat (like chicken, veal, koobideh) which comes with rice and a roasted tomato. Unfortunately, they don't allow you to switch your carbs to a salad, thus forcing you to pay an additional $3, for a salad and yogurt. That works out to be almost $20 with a soda... a bit pricey given this is more of a take-out fast food joint. The food is alright. Pretty average, typical Persian food. The skewers are all quite fresh, tomatoes are BBQ'd fresh. Your rice and meat dishes come with a bit of butter for your to add to your meal too. Also... the amount of rice they give is HYYUUGGGEE. If you're hungry, this is perf for you! Although this place seems mostly to be a takeout joint, they do have a couple tables and some bar chairs available if you'd like to sit in.
