My fiancé and I went here in search of a dog park. Our dog had a blast and was able to run around in an area I estimated to be approximately 3.5 acres. This was especially nice since most previous parks had a very small area for the dogs to run around. We will definitely be visiting this place more as the weather warms up. read more

Love it here! I live only a half mile away and feel lucky! Very large and I love the sidewalk for walking and the large lawn area for frisbee. Watching the dogs in the dog park area is also pretty entertaining. My only complaint is many times there is no parking available. read more

This park is so awesome! I used to live about 1/4 mile from it, so I would walk there...now I live almost 10 miles away and I still try to go! My only suggestions would be that on a nice day you should get there early, otherwise the parking can be a little out of control. This is my home park that i walk my dog at frequently. But i have never apreciated it as much as this week. Ive had spine surgery and this place has been serving as my personal rehab center. Lets start by saying this is the largest and best kept park in Kennesaw. Thats saying alot considering Kennesaw has won best parks n rec in the STATE of GA many years in a row now. This place is always teaming with dog lovers (large off leash dog park here), exercise junkies, fit moms, student athletes, skaters (yes there is a world class skate park here), trainers, elderly go getters, and every other walk of life you can imagine. There is a 1 mile loop track and outdoor exercise station. Proud to have picked Kennesaw as my home (rated 1 of the best small towns in the U.S.), and lucky to have swift/cantrell right around the bend! read more

Very nice and clean park. two very nice playground areas- toddler section and big kid section. the two loop trails are nice- the kid can ride her bike around while i run behind her. water fountains throughout the park. nice dog park and skate ramp also. read more

Today was the first time going to the skate park for me and I had a blast seeing all the skaters and skating my self on my scooter but anyway its was so fun. Ps- the people there are so nice and helpful. read more

After the initial 20 minutes of driving around the parking lot looking for a spot, the park was great. My son is a baby so he is too young to really know what was going on but he was able to use one of the infant swings. We also watched the skateboarders in the skate park which held his attention. I will definitely go back during the week when it is less crowded. read more

Love to walk here. The park is open; people are friendly and courteous. Easy way to get a couple of miles in.

Love this dog park and so does my german shepherd! Always a lot of pups here and a large space to accommodate their exercise needs. Everyone is very friendly and i enjoy coming here and socializing while my pup plays. There is a doggy water fountain, separate areas for big and small dogs, and WiFi if you're trying to multitask! read more

Probably the nicest skating/dog/picnic/playground/running space park I've ever been to in the U.S. It's really well maintained and my only complaint would be more seating and shaded areas in the dog park. read more

We used to love bringing our dogs to the dog park here. But for some reason now, tennis balls are not allowed. Our dogs love playing fetch... But now, what is the point of the off leash park? They can't play fetch. Such a dumb rule. read more

Don't let the other comments about parking deter you. There is plenty of overflow parking at the elementary school next to the park with a trail leading right to the walking path. The pavillion area is awesome for parties or just a nice place to hang out. My mom teaches Special Ed at North Cobb and she takes her kids there on a regular basis and they love it. I do agree that there could be more trees to attract other wildlife but overall, a great experience. read more

Greatest thing we have discovered in Kennesaw. Love the open fields! 1 mile track is perfect for keeping track of distance. You dont even realize you walked a mile because you pass by so much. A couple of parks, several pavilions, a exercise center, open fields, and a skate park in the making! Bath rooms are located in the middle of it all with several water fountains I can not stay away from this place! Very family friendly! read more

We have three dogs and take them often to the dog park at SCP during the spring, summer and fall. The people we meet are always very attentive to their dogs and we have seen no issues with the cleanliness and upkeep of both the small and large dog areas. Our family loves the playground, field, exercise area and running path. The skate park looks amazing and we are excited to give that a try soon. read more

Seriously my favorite place. I'll take my whole family. Or sometimes just me and my dog! But it's always clean and maintained. The playgrounds are amazing my kids love them. The walking trails are great for me and my dog. And the dog park for me to let him off the leash! Even the beautiful skatepark is a great touch. This park is very nice and extrememly clean. I just wish it had a set of bathrooms on the other side near the dog park. Also I wish they would make another area for really small dogs. Im sick and tired of my little 5 pound dog getting pounced on by 20 to 30 pound dogs! I have 2 other dogs that do just fine. They are 17 pounds and 70 pounds. I had to pull some psycho ladies dog off my little baby today. He grabbed her by the neck 2 different times. They need someone to supervise this area so this doesnt happen. Some people just dont have the common sense not to bring their aggresive dogs to public places. Other than that I love it there and so do my kids. read more

Great place to get your walk on. They have great family events. Plenty of space for family bar-b ques. It's a very clean park.

Great park. Best in the area. Only suggestions would be additional parking near the front of the park. Having a overcrowded parking area, right next to the toddler playground, is not the best choice due to several safety issues. And also a few more trees in the dog runs, so the dogs can have more shade. read more

I love walking at this park. The park is well lit at night and very clean. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because at night the bugs can be pretty annoying. Take bug spray! read more

This is definitely a family favorite and has been a regular stop for us for a decade now. The kids love the equipment and splash area and the pups get great exercise in the dog parks. I feel very safe going at night as most of the areas on the outside track are well lit. We've also come out to see a couple of movies on the green over the years and it's usually well-planned and fun. The downside, as other reviews have mentioned, can be the parking. On really nice days, it does get busy, but planning ahead for it can save you some hassle. By evening, it's cooler, and there's better parking. Otherwise, everything is clean and well maintained. We feel like it's well cared for and managed as a whole. read more

Easily one of the best parks in the Atlanta area and beyond. Has something for everyone: walking/running, free-run dog area, skateboarding ramps, playground, open fields for team sports, picnic areas, etc. Very well kept and everyone is usually very friendly. Parking can be difficult to find on a nice day, especially on the weekends. read more

the dog park here is stellar! the rest of the park is well kept. try to avoid peak hours because parking is a nightmare. this is a great park for any age range. I like the mile markers for running. the bathrooms are nice too, especially for a park. public wifi is available! read more

It's great to have a local park as this to enjoy the nice weather or go for a walk!!! Only issue is parking but it happens!!

This is large park with playgrounds, open space for kids to play, jogging area, skateboarding and a dog park. The biggest problem with this park are people walking their dogs and letting them poop/pee on the playground where kids play. There's a dog park just next to the playground and people are too lazy to take them there and let them do there business. If you have pets...fine but be responsible for them. Bring something to pick up after your pet. read more
