Very UNPROFESSIONAL. People were rude, waited 2 hours for them to never show up, next day they show up an hour after they said they'd be here. Got here and had attitude & estimated 4 hours when it was virtually not much. I stated I waited yesterday for them for 2 hours of MY time and he has the audacity to say "nevermind you're wasting my time" and walks out. I do NOT recommend these jerks. Horrible disrespectful service. Insolent, Lazy, Imbecile, Coward, Unpunctual and Liar are just a few words to describe "Ed"the self proclaimed "Owner & Manager" of Swift movers. This self employed arrogant idiot, disrespected my wife and sister when they politely asked him to stop standing around as he was being paid by the hour. His response was "you don't want to piss us off woman, we are handing your belongings" and "I don't need you to tell me what to do" ... Obviously I fired the guy immediately and asked him to get out of my sight. He walked away talking trash, but as he walked away he told my wife and sister " oh shut up bit@hes ,you can suck my Di@k" that's when I went after him but the coward ran so fast when he saw me quickly moving towards him; he quickly jumped in his crappy yellow truck and drove off. He also tried to charge $500 to my credit card that I used for the deposit and thankfully my bank rejected the transaction, because we had placed a freeze on my USAA credit card. Ed (Swift Movers) have been banned from all Puerta Villa Apartment's and sister companies. The apartment management called him in front of me to politely asked him not to distribute any flyers on the property and he then began to insult and argue with her and just hanged up on her telling her "it's my business I'll do whatever I want"... All the responses by "EB"on the reviews are the same person .. the "owner / manager" see for yourself how he has the same excuse for everyone that writes the reviews "it's always everyone's fault" his arrogance and immaturity blinds him. He actually tells you that if you want the job to be done right to "help him" he tells you he has a two hour minimum but he will tell you no matter how small job you have, it will take more than two hours. Oh an he tells you he will take two workers and only shows up with one and himself, but because his the "owner" he doesn't load the truck. Do not pay in advance any deposits save yourself the lost. Use movers that's guarantee their services like those listed in the U-haul website. They actually will refund money if the movers don't show up or do a poor services. Hire this guy at your own risk. He will tell you that he will arrive sometime before noon but will show up hours later with his attitude and ask you to help. Well... The job got done. I'll run thru the gist of it. My appointment was originally for "sometime" before noon. The didn't arrive until 3:20 and didn't finish until 5:30. The man on the phone was extremely apologetic and kept me up with what was happening. Job before me was running late, the truck got a flat tire, the tire shop was taking long, etc. It was fine, I'm flexible and even though I wanted to have kept my original time, there was much I could do. These things were logical and could possibly be happening. It's. Out of my hands and control, so why get mad. Once there, it was only one guy. But he got to work. Moved everything that he could on hi own and I even helped him. Then another guy got there 30mins later. Then they took a smoke break. So it took them an hour or longer to load up a 400sqft studio. To keep them from charging another hour, once we got to the new place, my brother and myself helped the two guys move everything off the truck. He was fair, honest, and apologized for everything and I paid him for two hours, their minimum. To the people that wrote bad reviews, I understand your frustrations, but seriously. The washing machine guy; you do realize you hired MOVERS right? Not an appliance installation tech. To the person with the fridge; maybe you should have measured the opening of your kitchen and known that it wouldn't fit. Not all houses/apts are built the same and sometimes appliances don't fit. Instead of insisting they take the door off, which is not what you hired them to do, you could have told them to leave it close to where you wanted it and you'd take care of it later. YOU HIRED MOVERS!!! WHICH IS WHAT THEY DO!!! Overall, was I pleased with their job/professionalism/work ethic/appearance? Not really, which is why I'm giving them a 3. On March 29,2018 I used these Movers to move my furniture to my new residence. They arrived late. They broke my refrigerator door after several times of asking the movers to remove the doors. They tried to wedge the refrigerator through the kitchen door. The door snapped off while I was in the living room with the cable man. The cable man measured the entry and the fridge and verified they needed to remove the kitchen door to get the fridge in. Wells Fargo wouldn't allow the transfer so I had to get cash. After arguing with manager about the claim they agreed to fix my refrigerator and never showed up. I waited on two separate occasions and no one ever contacted me. This has been a horrible experience. They are very unprofessional. Now I must replace my refrigerator because the door is broken and my refrigerator doesn't work. Use this company at your own risk. Took almost 10 hrs to move a two bedroom apartment and half a storage unit from El Paso to Las Cruces. They kept telling me it should have been a thee person job but when I scheduled the pick up it wasn't offered. They scratched the floor in my new place and stained my new bed by dragging it around. First of all I hired Swift Movers back on Sept. 17th. for an 2-3 hours job. I spoke to some guy over the phone from Swift, probably the owner, about how much time I would be needing the "crew". Two guys showed up that were told something different from the contractor other than "moving" work. One guy had traveled from Las Cruces but I released him due to a toothache. The other guy was outstanding, hardworking. Myself and two sons had to help this guy move our stuff!! A SCAM from the owner !!! He kept calling, but just wanted to collect the money and for me to pay these guys just $35.00 for 21/2 hrs. , for heavy work !! Watch out for this "company"!!! SCAM!!!!! read more

DO NOT inquire NOR HIRE these people, they are the MOST UNRELIABLE service to be found. I had called them because I always believe that the Business learn from their mistakes and try to improve their services based on their customers feedback, but I guessed wrong. Believe in review people and know that most of the time the customer is always right. I had initially made the appointment early in the week from my move out date, after making the appointment I called them again to confirm and withing my second call I informed the movers about my concerns based on their reviews referencing the late arrivals. He then said, "Ma'am do not worry we will make sure we get you serviced right". Just know that those reviews are only 3 a year, we don't work that way. Well, today was my moving date and the movers were supposed to be at my residence before 10am. After several delayed excuses, he then said that he was running super behind and wouldn't be able to see me until after 1:45pm. I advised him that this was exactly what I talked to him about and was trying to avoid but that he had given me his word about not being late. These people don't understand that when you set, and appointment is for a reason, not for their convenience of approximatively. If I could give this company a zero star I would. Reasons: 1. Showed up late and rushed packing everything, not listening to what needed to be packed and what didn't. 2. Smelled like Marijuana 3. Didn't bring anything to drink and made us feel obligated to give water when asked. 4. Packed things in my car without asking 5. Stole money and car charger out of vehicle( charger later found in moving truck after mover denied seeing or taking it) when confronted by owner, owner said there wasn't proof he took it out) 6. Was told my things would be delivered next day evening, showed up at 1130pm and only unloaded half of things because he was tired 7. Showed up an hour late the next day 8. Broke the wheel off my gas grill 9. My furniture was destroyed and mattresses were filthy 10. When told i wasn't satisfied with move, he comped me $60 and said "at least we made it here". 11. Truck was a beat up Uhaul truck that used Big rocks to stop the truck from moving 12. Workers on cellphone while working and took breaks while being paid. 13. Claims to be BBB accredited, which is not true. Only received a BBB rating for one review. In the end, after helping with most of the unloading, them breaking and destroying my things, then showing up later then promised, was not worth the $60 compensation. We pay movers to move our stuff safely and securely in a timely matter. Recently had to move, went to these guys off a recommendation. First of all, I was told they'd be there between 10-2. They didn't show up until around 6. On top of that, one of the workers, Eddy, REAKED of beer. Called the company, and the manager who answered, Eric, said, paraphrased "no, he hasn't been drinking, I've been with him all day". Called a bit later, because he definitely was drunk and was belittling the other mover as well as throwing around our stuff. This time was told "he had a beer at lunch, but he's fine, he's not drunk". Had to call AGAIN, a bit later, for more of the same, and this time was told "well, he's getting the job done, isn't he? What does it matter if he smells like a distillery?" If you still want to go with a company that thinks its professional and ok to let their employees drink on the job when their job is MOVING PEOPLES FURNITURE IN A TRUCK, then read on. After confronting Eddy himself, telling me and calling his buddy, the manager, Eric, that he had been to a concert the night before (and I guess had bathed in a tub of beer right before coming over, because no one reaks that bad almost 24 hours after drinking, no matter how heavily), I called again, insisting on a a different person to replace Eddy. Again, being told he was fine to work drunk, fast-forward to him breaking the track on a dresser drawer because he tried to shove it back in, tearing our leather couch, and just moving our stuff around without much concern for it (but hey, he was fine to work drunk). Also, the other mover (no complaints with him, he was great), verified Eddy HAD been drinking during the day. Not only all that, but the belittling and insulting attitude Eric the manager had towards me and my wife when we tried talking and insisting on professional services being rendered, Eddy almost getting in a fight with my father in law who came over to help (at 9pm because of the movers being late) when he told him to be respectful of us, the clients, because Eddy was having a bit of an attitude. Pretty much told eric we didn't want to pay more than the initial 2 hour block, because they took so long to do anything, took their time, one of them was drunk and demanded water and took quite a few breaks...overall, one of the worst moving experiences ever. Misplaced bolts for the beds and dining table, broke a dresser drawer, tore the leather couch, mistreated my wife and I, PLUS Eddy walked off the job near the end, leaving the other mover to finish up, with our help. This business owner is not very smart. If you read my first review complaining about my washer you will notice it was posted on July 10th. My move date was July 9th. The business reply to my first post was July 12th where he says I called 3 days afterwards. Not possible. also, When his guys hooked up my washer it did not work. It flashed a code F2 which means control unit. Whirlpool repair came out the next day and took it apart. The control unit was full of water. Also, I had to mop up the floor in my old apartment because there was so much water on the floor. This business is BS.
