The beer, sausage, cheese soup was good. The prominent flavor was sausage. If you wanteed a more Canadian beer cheese this isn't it. The fish was good, the fries limp greasy wet. The homemade ketchup was good. The service was great and the atmosphere was laid back having a beer with friends type of place. So a hang out place bar is what I would rate it. Good beer selection. It was a warm summer evening and the establishment was pretty busy for a Thursday night. I was sure there would be a wait but were seated quickly by our hostess who was attentive, friendly and knowledgeable and able to recommend beers and drinks that everyone enjoyed. The food was diversified ranging from familiar to more unique options. My two friends and I decided to mix it up and order a variety of foods to share. It would be an understatement to say we were extremely happy with how delicious everything was. A great place to drink with friends! A prime location downtown, and a relaxed atmosphere inside. The service has always been stellar when I visit as well. I find Swig more of a place to snack on apps than enjoy a big meal (although you can). I am not a big sausage/ hot dog fan, and they specialize in those items. They do offer burgers, sandwiches, salads etc. Food at Swig I like to accompany my delicious beer: pierogi fundido (try this, trust me!), hot feta dip, Frankenstein chunks (blue cheese score!) The beer cheese dip is addicting, but I wish the pretzels were better. They taste just like the kind I have in my freezer; I would love them so much more homemade. A hang-out restaurant with a bar. The daily specials really help out, but everything here is home made. The wings are just as good as your favorite chain (and if you don't like any of the big chains, then try them anyway), the fish and chips were no different than anyone else's. The outdoor seating and bar really help add a layer to the place. The Scottish egg and sausages will be ordered on my next visit. There were a few things on the menu that will cause me to return. Three stars because the patio was s nice place to hang out on a beautiful summer night. The beer was cold and there was a nice selection. Our server, Elise B walked away several times before we could finish speaking and neglected to tell us that they were out of menu selections until after we ordered. Menu is different from anywhere else I have been to. Gastropub with a Very unique mix of food. I had the charcuterie board which had a phenomenal smoked duck and a homemade pretzel that rivaled the best. Awesome draft selection, it was a good mix of local and seasonal brews. Swig is great place to hang out and eat really good food. I recommend the three sausage platter with the mashed potatoes substituted with french fries. (Their ketchup is the best, I know it sounds funny saying it - but it is.) My only complaint is twice ordered a slower moving beer that was stale and waiter didn't seem to care. The quality of Swig's food can vary wildly from night to night. One night you might have a perfectly cooked decadent burger with a mountain of crispy fries and on another night you might order the same thing but end up with an over cooked piece of meat with a pile of soggy limp fries. On it's good nights swig is the best of overly indulgent pub food but on its bad it's greasy and uninspiring. They have a decent beer and cocktail selection and their house ketchup and mustard are delicious. If they were a bit more consistent with their food I would consider them a go to spot. read more

After seeing their wide selection of hot dogs my husband couldn't wait to try Swig. Sadly, it left something to be desired. We shared a bowl of the Swig soup, which was delicious and the best part of our meal. I ordered onion rings and two hot dogs, a Santa Fe and a build-your-own Frank. The onion rings were average, but for $3.99 I would expect more than 6. The Santa Fe was a little dry. On the build your own they forgot one of my four ingredients, so I had to ask for a side of chipotle ketchup. My husband ordered an Andouille Sausage, Chicago Dog, and sweet potato fries. He really enjoyed the Andouille sausage, but found the rest lacking. The sweet potato fries were soggy and bland and he much prefers Sonic's Chicago Dog to Swig's. If we go back, we will stick to the Swig soup and the sausages. read more

Nice place with great beer list. Very limited inside seating and limited bar seats, capacity is 57 per their sign, so take that info consideration. They do have a heated patio and seemed nice enough out there people were using in on a 25 degree night. Beer prices were good, apparently no happy hour drink specials but prices were normal for craft beers. Food was really good but their "chicken chunk" special Monday is a bit overpriced and I can't imagine paying more that their 1/2 pound special price ever. Sauce was good and coney was excellent. Homemade fries and chipotle catsup was amazing. I would give it 5 stars but spent more than normal on 1 less beer and wasn't totally full on food either. Thank goodness for Yelp or we wouldn't have found this place. It was packed on a Sunday night and pretty loud inside but the server was super nice and attentive and the food was really delicious. We split a salad and then focused mostly on tasting from the "curiosities" menu. The fried green tomatoes were really a star as were the gouda bites. The fried items were not greasy at all. Great food server was excellent had a 30 minute wait which isn't bad for a Saturday night at 7. Excellent beer selection on tap. Had perogies and sausage plate and you can taste the time and effort put in to making it. I went to Swig for the second time and I don't remember it being this tasty the first time I tried it a year or so ago. The hot feta dip was delicious! I would order that app every time, although next time I'd like to try the beer cheese dip because that looked equally as tasty. The Coney frank was perfect in my opinion, and really gives Rudy's and Packo's some competition. My boyfriend ordered the Cleveland and the Fresh Kielbasa which he is still ranting and raving about. We split some sweet potato fries which were much better than fresh cut fries I had the first time I dined there. Moreover, the ambiance of the restaurant is a great fit for downtown Perrysburg. There was live music, Tigers baseball on TV and a hip crowd that kept the atmosphere buoyant. read more
