Driving back to our hotel, we decided to stop at Swig for a drink along the way, as we did a ton of walking around almost all day and it made us incredibly thirsty. We have a Swig back home in Nevada (they began expanding their franchise there recently) as well and this was the first place that popped into my head. Note that this is a drive-thru location only; you are not able to go inside and place your order here. I've been to Swig a couple of times back at home so I already know what I wanted, even though it started raining like right when we arrived here. I ordered a Cloud 9 (sugar free) and my LTP ordered a Just Peachy, both chilled drinks. These are our go-to drinks anytime we visit Swig. The service was super quick and we got our drinks in less than five minutes after we ordered them. I was so thirsty that I was already halfway done with my drink by the time we arrived back at our hotel. I'm happy that we have a Swig back home, because I can never get enough of their Cloud 9! This is a perfect drink to have, especially with summer around the corner. read more

I've always had a great experience at this location so I was surprised to see so many negative reviews. If you're not from utah, you have to come here to try a dirty soda at least once! Before you go - it's drive thru only, and always has been. You can't walk in and order. The line can sometimes be very long, but it moves quickly. Customer service here is great, it feels similar to chick fil a where they follow you with their iPad to get your order. Highly recommend joining their text list and app to get their deals! I'm sooo happy we have a Swig location in slc, but it is such a pain to access. If you're going southbound, you either have to go past it and make a U-turn or turn left before it and circle around it in the neighborhood. Other than that, everything was great. Super nice employees!! The drive thru is set up well with two lanes so it moves pretty quickly. I got a Diet Coke with sugar free coconut, and it was as usual delicious. They have the best pebble ice. I also got a large water, and their water is super crisp. We tried their sweet 16 birthday cake cookies and they were good but definitely on the sweeter side! There wasn't much for atmosphere, just a small building in an empty parking lot. Only the drive through was available, with the inside closed. There were team members out front taking orders on tablets, then you picked up your order at the window. I've always heard it recommended to try a coke or Dr. pepper creation, but since I don't like those sodas my husband and I tried their root beer creations. My husband tried the buttery beer, and I had the happy camper. Both were delicious, but we agreed that buttery beer was just slightly better. I just didn't feel like the flavors met the descriptions or, honestly, that the concoctions were very flavorful at all. The drive- through line was almost spilling into the street on a Saturday night but it moved very quickly. There were workers outside taking orders (like they do at In-n-Out in Southern California, the grossly overrated fast food burger chain. Please no haters--In-n-Out is crazy popular because it's cheap.). We tried two different drinks and a a frosted cookie that was served almost ice cold. The drinks were ok. Frankly, I thought they tasted watered down which seems impossible given that we had just received them. The cold cookie was about as good as a cold cookie could be. I love that this location opened, because me and my friends were staying in the Downtown Salt Lake City area, and the other ones were a bit farther, especially since we didn't have a car. Apparently you can't go to Utah without coming to Swig. My 10yo niece in MD told me I had to come here as soon as she found out about my trip. I guess she saw it on YouTube shorts. And I love soda so much so of course I was all in. The soda restaurant is a drive thru and we were maybe 5th in line but the line was fast. There was a woman outside helping us order. My boyfriend got the texas tab. And I made up my order - coke, vanilla, and coconut cream. The texas tab was better than mine so maybe don't make up your own order. haha. The riptide consists of sprite, cranberry, raspberry puree, and a lime. There are many options to choose from, so take your time in choosing which concoction is right for you. I'm so glad this location has opened! My boyfriend and I drove by one night and decided to stop in after seeing that it was open. We decided to try the This Bliss. To be honest, it wasn't for me. I didn't like the combination of Diet Coke and cranberry as much as I thought I would. But, my boyfriend enjoyed it. We were having trouble figuring out how to enter the drive through line because the owner decided to throw up cones so you can only enter from one direction. We explained this to one of the cashiers in a completely empty drive through line and they refused to take out order even though she was standing outside with an iPad.
