The spirit airlines of pool companies. Very unethical and expensive service. I'm not smart because I kept them for a year but I'm able to legitimately provide insight. My top 3 bad experiences with them. #1. Overpriced service. sucker you in for cheap base then crazy upcharge for chemicals. Keep in mind I have a very small pool. base was around 200/mo. I'd get chemical bills for 150-300/mo. I once had a monthly bill over $500. I know how much chemicals cost. As example my neighbor with much bigger pool pays $260/mo total with different service company. #2 Leave the pool in bad condition and tell you it looks good. Many times, my tenants would tell me there was dirt and white dust particles at the bottom of the pool. They once told me pool looks good and sent me a picture as they always do. The hot tub water lever was so low the jets were waterfalling. I'll attach picture. That's so bad for your pool motor. You can't let air in motor. it didn't happen just once either. I pay for the pool to be in good condition, at least let me know if somethings wrong. #3 Sooo unethical. My pool pump stopped working. Found out from tenant, not this company. I had to pay $130 for one of their specialists to diagnose it. My idea of specialist and diagnose was different than there's. I thought it would be more like you taking your car to mechanic and they actually look under hood. No, I paid $130 for someone to show up, look and see it's not running and confirm its not. They said whole pump needed to replaced and it was going to be $3,200. I had my neighbor look at it, he actually opened up the motor. cleaned a wire and reattached it, the pump started working. read more

They recently claimed that I owe them $107.17 for a so-called "pool service" from May 2023--yet they have failed to provide a single invoice or shred of proof. The first time I even heard about this alleged charge was on January 28, 2025, when they texted me (not called or emailed) demanding payment within three days or else they'd send me to collections. I asked for documentation--none was provided. Then, complete silence from them... until March 16, 2025, when I received a threatening message from ARM Solutions debt collections. This company is so desperate for money that they're trying to strong-arm customers into paying unverified debts--for a service they can't even prove was performed! Tracy is a terrific person who takes great care of our pool. Since I am at home when he comes, I get to see how thorough and diligent he is while cleaning and maintaining our pool. I'm confident that he keeps the chemicals in balance, and he is meticulous when he cleans all the many leaves from the pool from the overhanging live oak tree. Shady Billing practices!! In 2017 I used this company under their former name, Crystal Clear Pools, to replace my pool light. This is the only time I ever used this business. I NEVER used them for pool cleaning or routine maintenance. In July 2022 I sold the house following my husband's death May 2024 I received an email stating I had past due invoices for pool cleaning totaling just over $900, for dates ranging from January 2023 to May 2023. Several months after I had sold the house. I responded to the email stating the fact that I had sold the house before the services were provided. I never got a reply. Since then I have gotten multiple emails and calls about this past due bill that is not mine. Each time I have explained to them that they made a billing error, and that the house had been sold before those services were provided. Each time I have been told they would take care of it. Again, I never had this company clean my pool while I owned the house. Their beef is with the people who bought the house from me. Today, 2/7/25, I got an email that they have sent me to collections. Super shady! I will of course dispute it, but what a headache they are putting a widow through. I now have to report them to better business bureau in April 2025. No one showed up for weeks over a year ago and I canceled when they sent me an invoice of months of service fees well after they stopped showing up. Then I made sure I got someone on the phone saying that this was their mistake. Now, almost 10 months later, they sent my incorrect bill to collections without answering any of my emails or calls for weeks about how this could have possibly happened. You should not use this company under any circumstance. They took over our pool service from G & S in May. G & S was great, did a good job, and sent us weekly photos to let us know they had been there and to see the quality of the clean. These people claim they were there weekly, but we only saw a technician once. He was a 'full in' who was there 15 minutes and barely touched anything. We have been calling and complaining week after week. The pool and fountain have been green, the fountain all the way to furry. The filters filthy, and there was a problem with the equipment that went undetected. We have hired a new service, but would be remiss not to warn others about this firm. read more

We pay for weekly service and have for a long time and their work recently is negligent. Our pool is green and disgusting despite them coming out to "fix it". If we could give 0 stars we would. I do not even know where to start, besides telling people not to use this company due to how they handle issues. Especially management. I ended up canceling my pool service last week and one of their staff memebers came to service my pool anyways (fine, not a big deal). I ended up sticking my head out of my window to let him know we canceled service and I caught him urinating on my pool pump. I was shocked, what grown man urinates at a clients house on their property let alone right under my security camera. All he literally had to do was knock at our door, we have a bathroom he can use. Anyways I called management right after and thats what really disapointment me about this whole experience. They took no accountability for their employees actions. All they did was tell me that they will tell him he needs to plan his "bathroom breaks better" and that they wont fire him cause overall hes a good employee. I was not happy with that answer and told him to have his manager call me, she never did so I called her. I caught her friday right before she was going on vaction I guess and she was no better then her employee. They literally said this isnt the first time their staff has done this. So your are meaning to tell me theres all these grown men coming onto clients property that have children and your okay with your male employees urinating all in your clients backyard? What a trash business model and quiet gross in my opinion. She advised me that she was heading out for vaction and she would follow up when she got back, almost a week later and still not a call. Im not going out of my way to try and make this right because its not my job. If I was a manager I would be calling the customer trying to make this right. Do not trust this company. We hired them to take care of our pool in 2015 and they were great at the beginning, but after eight years, their service began downhill. Weeks of no showing at all. We kept calling and they kept telling they would send someone and norhing. After several weeks of no service they finally sent someone and did a lousy job. It was a total nightmare. After another week that they sent someone to clean the mess thet left (we sent pics of the service provided) they didnt vaccuumed the bottom and you could see the pool green on the floor. We got tired of waiting to fix their mess amd hired anither company that came two days after they "cleaned" it and told us that they couldnt believe they could be so irresponsible to twll us the pool was safe to use while the chemical levels said the opposite. After two years of not being with this lousy company they still are charging us the "provided service". Aftwr we sent them pics and one of the videos you can hear where the new company is saying that it is not safe to hae the pool they still have the guts to try to charge. Be careful with this company, they will charge you services not provided and they will threat you. They must be starving for trying to get money in every possible way they can instead of focusing in having a good costumer service and doing things right. We used this company for many years with Lorrie Walker and her husband being the owners, the kindest people one could think of. But this changed! In June of 2022 I requested pricing for regular pool cleaning besides hardware service. Lorrie quoted a price and we agreed to the service. Within days I received additional email showing higher pricing. I brought this to Lorries attention. She corrected it and appologized, but this happened several times. I therefor called their office and spoke to Kirsten where I was informed that the company had sold and Lorrie not being in charge anymore. Now, we did comit to the higher pricing and received what was called "chemical pool service only" (no cleaning) which is service for 3 quaters of the year only (omitting the winter)but paying for 4 quarters of the year . July of this year, their weekly tech noticed a water leakage at the main pump. He informed me that he would bring this to the attention of their Swim Pure office and they would get in touch with me. This did not happen. After 2 weeks we sent an email reminder to Swim Pure regarding the Pump leakage issue. Again nobody answered. Consequently, we called another company and they came right next day, repairing a cracked housing and some other items which the SwimTech had not noticed. The high speed of the pump was lowered by programming it new, also the stop/go program was corrected in order to avoid high pump shocks and prevent damages to the pump with its delicate uphill location. We were happy and stayed with this new company. Now we are enjoying a weekly full pool cleaning and chemical service all year long with pricing almost the same we had with Swim Pure and their much lower service. At large, Swim Pure's staff members were friendly, however, I did have a very rude and disrespectful encounter once with their employee "Casey". He, afterwards, was prohibited from coming back. read more

I do not recommend. They installed my pool 10 years ago but during the past two years have really neglected it. I would call stating the problem, they would send someone out and somehow make it worse or put in a temporary fix and never follow up. I was on weekly service yet somehow it still turned green and murky. For the past year they've been using chlorine even though the prior 9 was salt only. I gave up and switched to a new provider. Additionally, my most recent bill (and by the largest ever received) contained numerous billing errors in Swim Pure's favor. If you do business with this firm, check each of the multiple invoices used to calculate your monthly charge. I found errors and I realized that I just don't have time to do this every month. We used Swim Pure for ~3.5 years and the quality of service has dramatically declined in that time, yet the cost continues to rise. They claim to come service the pool, recording in the log that everything "looks great," while there is dirt at the bottom of the pool, algae growing on the walls, and slow/no flow from the waterfalls. We finally canceled the service after receiving multiple logs with photos that were not our pool/filter/equipment. They have to come out multiple times for the same issue which is a separate charge every time. It started with several unreturned phone calls and once I finally reached someone competent they sent out a higher level manager and or sales rep to take a look. We were told upon his exit we would have a service tech call us to come out and schedule repairs. No phone call was ever received and only today in June did I call back to ask for a repaired tech. I was told I was sent a quote for $175 to have a tech come out and determine what the problem was. I reiterated several times that someone had already come out and determined what was wrong with the light only to be told that they had no record or notes in their system of it and we would have to start from scratch and pay the $175 fee. There are too many examples to list behind the one star rating (zero stars wasn't an option). We've had pools for the last 13 years and I would put this company at the bottom of the list of the different pool service companies we have retained. They are only our second company in the last 7 years. The "service" is inconsistent and unreliable at best. We've had weeks where no one shows up. When they do, they don't test the water, they just dump chemicals (or they don't test or treat at all). I've spent $100's on chemicals to offset and rebalance my pool after they have arbitrarily dumped mass amounts of chlorine, acid, etc. in a pool that was already balanced/normal. Most recently they fried the circuit board on my main control panel after dousing it with filter water while attempting to backwash (with the panel open). No response from the office. No returned phone calls. Emails go unanswered. After 2 weeks of running everything manually at the equipment and waiting for them to address, I hired another company who came out and diagnosed the issues, replaced the panel, and reprogrammed everything the same day. Some of their techs are good, some are terrible, but you won't get the same one two times in a row. We tried to give benefit if the doubt, but after the last couple of months, capped off by $2000+ damage to control unit and non responsiveness from the office we have cancelled our service. Ironically, a new tech showed up at the house today to service the pool. I told him we had cancelled the service to which he said he had no idea, our house was on his route list. Clearly communication both internally and externally is a challenge. I would never recommend this company for pool service/maintenance. In addition to the $300/month for their service, we've literally spent $1,000's to undo the damage they have done. There are much better options out there. read more

I was told by a guy named Casey that I was number 500 on a list to replace a simple ball valve on my pool equipment and that they were impossible to obtain right now. When I asked to have someone who could schedule an appointment for this service call me, I received an extremely disrespectful call from Casey who didn't let me get a word in edgewise but thought he had the right to tell me to suck it up and wait weeks or months like everyone else on their list. Swimpure's service has aways been subpar and Casey's attitude has always been grating to my wife and myself so I called ABC on a Friday and the ball valve was cheerfully replaced on Tuesday! Don't waste your time with Swim Pure when there are much better options out there. . read more

They got it in great working condition, taught us how to maintain it ourselves, and have continued to work with us when we needed additional help. Talked to someone over there and scheduled for them to come service my pool on a Friday. They said they would call an hour ahead of time before coming. An hour ahead of time just isn't enough time for my line of work, which isn't a problem, but I had to cancel meetings at the office and work from home that day so that I could let them into the backyard. I called in the morning to make sure they were still coming and they told me they would, but they NEVER showed up. Didn't call or anything. Just didn't show up. I called them at 5 that afternoon and left a voice mail asking them to please call me back on Monday but again, they NEVER got back to me. I have never rated companies on Yelp, but following yesterday's outstanding service, I felt it necessary to share. Due to the hard freeze that we had, a pipe had burst in the auto fill section of my equipment and water was pouring out. I called Swim Pure when I discovered my problem. Within 20 minutes, Kirk, the owner , showed up and fixed it. He had another employee on call to stop at Home Depot if a part was needed. Fortunately, it wasn't necessary. They have been working on my pool for a few years after using several sub par companies. I work with Casey, and there isn't a better pool man in Austin, and I would say Texas! He answers questions about your pool and he can diagnose 80% of your problem over the phone. If you think you need to buy a pump or replace your Polaris he ALWAYS ask a couple of questions and most of the time the problem is solve and you saved a ton of money. He's not trying to make the big bucks for himself, but rather looking out for his customers. I would never use anyone else! Double thumbs up for Casey and Swim Pure! read more
