We have been taking both our girls there since they were about a year old. I can't say enough about this swim school. I believe we are probably the longest running clients at this time. Our oldest has graduated the preteen level but we still take her to refine her technique for swim team and she has been able to drop 3seconds off her times. Our youngest is getting close to being graduated from preteen as well but we will still be going. This place is all warmth and happiness. They strive hard to provide great life saving education with very knowledgeable coaches. I highly recommend to everyone with children. My granddaughter has been going to Swim to Shore for lessons for the past 2 years. She has gained skills consistently and is now confident in the water. The coaches, particularly her current coach Jeremy, have been a great combination of fun and firm, guiding and encouraging at each lesson. I have never seen any staff member be other than patient and kind, adapting to each child's learning style and needs. I have watched them sit on the side of the pool and talk to a child who is scared of the water, slowly using toys and cups of water poured on feet and hands to help them understand that they are in safe hands. Nothing feels rushed or inpatient. Parents/guardians watch the lesson from chairs at the side and receive an individual report on the lesson and goals after each lesson. The coaches welcome parent input and colaboration. Their goal is to encourage love of swimming while emphasizing safety at all times. Two of my kids take lessons here and I've seen such an improvement in their confidence in the water. My 2 year old daughter loves Coach Carolina and is so comfortable with her. She is an amazing instructor and is such a genuinely sweet person. Coach Ivy is also so nice and very patient with my 4 year old son. WORTH THE WAIT! Staff all around is very nice and down to earth! They are all very warm and greet you as you come in and say goodbye as you leave! Even if they aren't your coach! Coach Aidan has been teaching our son in the guppy class and he is so patient with all the parents and has very good teaching demeanor. His explanations of the exercises we do are clear. Great with children and is well adapted to each child and their skill level and adjusting skills to the different children! The peace of mind knowing that you are building skills to instill water safety into your child is for sure their mission and that is clear and they go above and beyond each class in doing so! We have been bringing our son here for just a little over 3-4 months. IF YOU ARE CONSIDERING ENROLLMENT FOR YOUR CHILD DO IT NOW! THERE IS A WAITLIST. I tried to enroll him at 6 months but we had to put him on the waitlist. He started classes a week before his first birthday so that should give you an idea of how long the list can be. The classes are very small which allows the instructors to focus on each child. I can only speak on the guppy classes. They are the perfect length of time. Just long enough so they are focused but not too long where they're over it and grumpy. All the staff that we've encountered so far have been really nice. The only tip is to get there early if you need to use a changing table to get your little one ready. There's only 1 working table in the women's bathroom which usually results in a wait. read more

We've had to take breaks (tubes in his ears, the pandemic, etc.), but we're so happy that we've been able to make our way back to them and now our daughter is taking classes with them. The woman sitting at the reception counter was not kind to children at all. While my child was waiting for swimming time, my son took one of the hundreds of toys and sat on the chair. She came over to tell my child to return the toy so the other kids were swimming to play. really mean. Great swim school. I know everyone shares this pool but it keeps parents like me in check with all of our kids. I have one kid in the parent-baby swim class and another that's doing semi-private swim lessons. Having them in the same pool allows me to keep an eye on both. My husband and I take turns going in with my daughter for the parent-baby swim lessons. It's cute and my daughter learned to float on her back by herself by 21 months by taking this class. It makes me feel better about her being by pools. My older daughter loves the pool and she can float, jump in the pool without fear and has even swam about 2 feet on her own. The nicest staff ever! Seriously every single person I have come across there is just the best. I brought my kids in maybe 4 or 5 weeks ago and one of them was absolutely terrified of the water. He would scream and cry so loud and did not want to go anywhere near the water. All of the employees made me feel so comfortable and kept reassuring me it's okay and that he will get used to it. Had my daughter go for a trial swimming lesson. She loved it! Didn't want to get out of the water. The instructor was engaged with my daughter and I felt she really tried to ease my daughter into trying to swim. The trial is only for 20 mins or so. I am not impressed with the way that the administrative part of this business is ran. My children have been a part of this school before and did not gain much but my soft heart decided to give them another try. I know how it is to run a small business and want everyone to be successful. The waiting list and enrollment is a joke and poorly managed. I do think that they need to place someone more efficient at the front and place Catherine elsewhere. Everyone is not good for every business. The business and service would be much better with an admin who has the ability to communicate clearly and more effectively. They will continue to lose business...what a shame. read more

I've been on the lookout for a legitimate swim school for my baby girl for a while now and I'm so glad I found this place! We enrolled in the Guppy Class (basically Mommy & Me) and not only is she enjoying the class, I am too! I checked out their website, called for information and visited the facility before making a decision. I felt satisfied with everything I saw and how my questions were entertained. I started my daughter when she was 5 1/2 months old and after two classes her progress has been remarkable. Their method of teaching babies is through songs and repetition. Teacher Tiffany is wonderful with babies and summarizes each one's progress after class. We go once a week for $65 per month and the session is about 30 minutes. So far there are three of us in the class every Tuesday at twelve noon. The pool is an indoor pool that is heated at a very comfortable temperature. Babies must wear swim diapers in the pool. You can either buy them on your own or but it at their little retail area. The brand that they sell is called iPlay and they have pretty cute designs. They have changing areas and little cubby cabinets for storing your bags. If you don't have anyone with you it's best to bring your car seat inside so you can place your baby there while you change. The school is located in a shopping plaza with ample parking. It's a bit far from our place in Corona but it doesn't feel that way because I just take the freeway all the way and there's hardly any traffic. After class we like to eat at Noodle Land a few doors down. My baby gets so tired after class that she sleeps for a long time. I hope going regularly will cultivate her love of the water and encourage her to embrace a healthy and active lifestyle at a young age. read more

My daughter has been taking lessons at Swim To Shore since she was 11 months old (2009). She is now 6 years old. I cannot express enough what the teachers have provided to my daughter. Not only has she learned to swim but it has helped her grow in self confidence, focus, determination, and achievement. She began in the guppy class and is now in level 6, which will provide the stepping stone to swim in competition. Not all kids will go the direction my daughter has but know this, what they learn about themselves and the emotional maturity they earn, will be satisfaction to any parent and their child as part of their path to adolescents. When we began looking at putting our oldest in swim lessons, Swim to Shore came highly recommended! We weren't sure we wanted to commit to driving to Murrieta from our home in Hemet but after our first lesson we were convinced that it was worth the drive! The instructors are very knowledgeable & know when to push a child beyond their comfort zone and when to back off. Our oldest was very timid in the water and at first wouldn't put her face in...and within a year she was deemed "water safe" by passing her float test. The best aspects of Swim to Shore is the focus on water safety by going over pool rules at every lesson and the float test where kids jump into the water fully clothed {including shoes} and make their way to the edge without any assistance. I recommend Swim to Shore to all my friends & assure my friends that live in Hemet that it is well worth the drive! read more
