I did so much research trying to find a local swim school/center that met our needs and came across Little Otters. From the start we loved how each instructor was so patient with our daughter. She came a little older at 8 years old and terrified of pools and was very anxious. From April to December they slowly but surely got her comfortable and taught her confidence in the water. We watched her go from nervous to excited every week. The best instructor was Mr. Seth. He was always incredibly kind, positive, friendly and motivating. Aubree really took to him and was swimming and diving by her last session. I can't say enough good things about this school and how it has carried over into other areas of her life. We found this school on Google, booked 10 sessions for summer, and can only highly recommend this awesome facility. The customer service was amazing, with all questions answered way before we started. The place is equipped great for the lessons, as well as for families with kids waiting for the session to finish. My 9 year old boy started as a beginner with some self-taught skills, and in the middle of this journey was promoted to the next level, and in 2 more lessons he was already in the advanced tier. His natural love for swimming flourished under the sensitive guidance of the instructors. And my 4 year old has been exposed to water very little and was quite wary of being inside a large reservoir. Nevertheless, the teachers found an individual approach, and by end of our lessons he could go underwater in the deep and even swim with his face submerged. He wants to dive in the bathtub now all the time lol. Special thanks to Ms. Ivy, Mr. Seth and Ms. Caprice, and to the owners of course! My kids had fun in the swimming pool, were entertained while waiting with different toys and activities, and even an exotic pet they could observe, they got a prize every time they completed a lesson, and they keep on asking to come back. My son (5) has loved the water his entire life. We naively thought that we could teach him the basics of swimming, since my husband and I both know how to swim. We were wrong! We tried teaching him how to control his breathe, float, etc., but he never learned the skills and did not progress. We found Little Otter Swim School after researching several companies. I liked the idea of a heated outdoor pool and 1:1 lessons, plus they had availability in the evenings which worked for our busy schedule. We were amazed how much my son learned from his very first visit! Christina is so patient and kind and my son loves her. He was a little nervous before his first lesson, but now he gets so excited to go and says that he loves his swimming lessons. Both our boys who are 4 and 6 have attended regularly for 6 lessons each. 100% worth it. We go at different times (night and day) so we've had 3 different instructors, all the instructors are great. Currently we're going at night and Seth is doing an exceptional job working with the boys at increasing their skills. Incredible experience! My six year old son has special needs, and needs a lot of extra support. He never has been able to participate in an activity individually, without mom or dad holding his hand. To get to watch my son swim with Mrs.Christina without us, brought me to tears. I've never seen my son enjoy anything as much as his swim lesson, he was smiling and laughing hysterically. My son has severe autism and water has always terrified me, we avoid it at all costs- my son has no safety awareness, elopes, and is non verbal. Little Otters Swim School provides a safe space enclosed area and one on one lesson, that's super inclusive with sensory friendly lights and sound options. Christina treated my son like family, and was so encouraging. I'm so beyond grateful for this opportunity. We were so happy to find Little Otters. Jade is amazing with both my girls age 7 and 23 months. The toddler can be a handful, but she was able to guide and coach me with her. It has been a great experience, I received multiple comments at a recent pool party about how well my kids are swimming. For background, my 7 year old has taken lessons before, but we needed help building confidence when swimming longer distances and in the "deep end". She has made tremendous strides with Jade's guidance. And it was the first lessons for the toddler. "Stranger danger", but over the course of a few weeks, it has gotten better and I am given the tools to continue to work with my child. Thank you Jade! Only small negative, the website and scheduling takes some work to navigate through and learn how it operates. But once you work through that, it works perfectly with finding available time slots, easy cancellation and rescheduling process, etc. Jade responds almost immediately or within the day to any questions and if you need help on website. My son was so fearful of water. Such a clinger and refused to even blow bubbles in the water, after just four classes with Jade, he can't wait to get in the pool and spends his entire bath practicing bubbles and putting his head under the water. Jade is incredibly patient, and really takes it at each child's pace. My son is slow to trust people, and I could tell he felt comfortable with her within one lesson and now fully trusts her.
