What a great facility! Everything is so clean which was one of the most important things to me while looking for a swim school for our kids. The staff is so kind and knowledgeable. This is not a well run facility in my opinion. They just want to get you in the door to pay an egregious amount for group classes. Auto pay is required for disclosures even if you pay up front for your one week of classes. No one at the front desk is able to do anything. They cannot even refund you money when they need to. You have to wait days till someone calls you.... terrible management. Front desk tried calling multiple people when they couldn't do anything and had no answers and no one would answer the phone. yeah, do not recommend this place at all !!! It has been a little over a year and all my child learned that I seen was him getting comfortable under the water, not coaches fault but they are unable to work with the kids as each one needed the owner needs better scheduling for each kid group them better and give each coach certain things to target from what I have seen the coached are scattered every where teaching the kids same things that they have already accomplished cause others are behind again not there fault they need better organizing in there. read more

Swim labs has been wonderful for our child. We drive pretty far to take classes there. Since she has started almost a year ago, my child has moved up levels once. She came in not knowing how to swim, and is progressing really wonderfully. Her coaches are patient with her, they communicate progress regularly, and we are so happy she's there! Adult classes are also available, which is great! We love swim labs. read more

We sent our daughter here for the parent tot lessons for 9 months. She did great at first but there was never a consistent instructor for the class even though we switched the time of the class twice. The instructors would not interact with her and the class was mostly parent led with very little instruction from the instructor. We have been sending our daughter to a different swim lesson place for the last 3 months and she has learned more there than she did at swim labs in 9 months. After canceling, this company continued to charge my card for two months without authorization. We were not instructed to cancel in writing as the person over the phone ensured us that our lessons were canceled. A note to the owner and front desk staff. Please ensure that your staff knows to let people know that canceling must be done in writing. When we canceled over the phone, we were ensured by the front desk staff that everything was done on our part for the cancelation. The cancelation policy does not have anything to do with the first portion of this review. read more

Our family has had a great experience at SwimLabs. My kids have liked their instructors, and they are significantly more confident in the water since starting lessons and now have much more fun at pool parties. My kids are a little older taking lessons (thanks, Covid) so they are in lessons with kids younger than them, sometimes by a few years, but it hasn't been an issue. Progress is measured regularly and recorded in the parent portal, so I can see how they are doing and remind them beforehand what they need to work on for that class. As far as scheduling, they have always been very accommodating and patient with me - with multiple kids it can be hard to line things up. The location is well-kept and welcoming. read more

Do not recommend this swimming school. My boys have been using it for almost a year and I don't see much progress. However the stuff that's what I have a problem with! Their make up session system is basically set up that you won't use it! They can not edit anything in there. To reschedule an appointments is a mission impossible! They willingly take your money, but to reschedule you have to fight to make it happen. read more

This is a huge waste our money and time. We've been coming here for several months and we don't see any progress. A few months ago we addressed our concerns with a manager and she addressed them and just recently with your GM. She was rude and very dismissive of our concerns The front desk staff Monday was rude to me and used profanity towards me Paying the late fee is worth it so I can get my children out of this program. It's a waste of time and they just want your money. I get we may have substitute instructors but the instructors are clearly not trained. My children haven't learned anything since taking lessons. read more

By far the best place for swimming lessons in Albuquerque! The facility is clean and they provide free coffee which I look forward to each week! The girls at the front desk are very friendly and provide excellend customer service! The instructor was friendly, patient, and after one lesson my daughter can't wait to go back! read more

We are overall not happy with Swim Labs. Our child received about 8 minutes of hands on training in a 30 minute class. The other 22 minutes he sat on the step waiting for his turn. The staff is not very friendly or accommodating. read more

This place is poorly managed on several fronts. First, they do not follow or enforce their own policies. Due to covid, only one parent is supposed to bring their kid to lessons. The waiting area is consistently overcrowded with entire families waiting for their kids. It's not unusual to have nowhere to sit and have to stand for 30 minutes if you don't arrive early. Second, they play favorites with their students. The manager knows some of the families personally and puts their kids in less crowded classes and excuse their kids' misbehavior. Our son is five and was in a beginner class. Like other kids in the class, he was a little wild. I asked the instructor if he was behaving ok on a couple of occasions and was told it was ok that he was playing when it wasn't his turn for instruction. The manager later told me another parent complained that he was being a distraction and wanted him to take private lessons. I told her I would talk to him and I did. I told him he could not play around when it's not his turn. To sit on the steps and wait or else we would pull him out of lessons. He listened and did what he was told. I watched him during his lessons and asked the instructor after class how he did. I saw no misbehavior and she said he did well every time. After about six classes, the manager called and said she still wanted to move him to private lessons. She claimed he continued to misbehave, which is inaccurate. Her specific example was that he was jumping into the water at the end of class. The only time he did this was at the direction of his instructor. We told the manager this, but she insisted that he take private lessons or disenroll. At this point, it was apparent that it was no longer about our son's behavior but was about the manager's relationship with another parent who had a grudge. So we pulled him out and would not recommend this place to anyone. read more

We are taking our business somewhere else even though the location of this facility is super convenient to us.I am just leaving this review so other busy adults/parents will know about somewhat strict policies before spending time hours on the phone and know that this business has no respect for their customers. Customers to this business are another name on the waiting list and that is not a good business model. After waiting for a year on their waiting list, we received a notification that we can now come and register for private class. The notification came during my annual leave and I got back to them a bit after one week.I was told that I have been kicked out of waiting list and there are so many people waiting on the list that they cannot wait .okay understandable but the way the message was communicated was rude and without respect for someone who has waited a year. They tell me that the only class I can try is the walk in where I can not be with the child in the pool.my child is very shy and I asked if my child does not go to water without me (does not touch the after )can I get a refund and the answer is no . Honestly I am in awe about a business model that has absolutely no respect for the customer .it speaks volume about who they are and what they can offer . Customer and potential customers need to be taken care of and feel that they are cared for not to think that they are only a money making tool for a business .I asked to talk to the Managemnet and all she said was that she is sorry I had an unpleasant experience.and that is it. Nothing about is there anything they can do the make up for these series of experiences .I wish you luck in your business but if this business want to survive with this model, they need to respect their customers or at least make them to feel that way . read more

This place has been awesome! My daughter has some challenges with her motor skills and has never been able to connect with swimming. Her instructor at SwimLabs has been so patient and supportive with her. She swam all the way across the pool unassisted last week and is loving swimming! If you want to pay $120+ a month to watch your kid hang on to the edge of the pool and play with toys on the pool steps then this is the place for you. After 9 months and 3 instructors (they kept quitting- which says a lot about the environment there) I'm confident my son would drown tomorrow if he fell into a pool. The last straw was when the most recent instructor turned his back on my 4 year old in the water while my son struggled desperately under water to try and get to the steps, the "instructor" didn't even notice.
