Visited P J Marley's recently with some relatives. The last time I visited, I only ate appetizers. On this visit, I wanted to try a hamburger. They have quite a few to choose from on the menu. I love mushroom burgers, so that is what I requested. Nearly everyone in our party requested burgers. I requested cherry cola. Our server was fast and friendly. The cherry cola was very tasty. It wasn't too sweet and I very much enjoyed it. My hamburger was tasty, although it was a tad small for the bun. I prefer the burger to at least reach the edges, if not exceed the diameter of the bun. Nonetheless, it was tasty and I enjoyed it. The fries were yummy too. We'll be back to try other menu options soon.

Neat little Pub. Family friendly, even on St. Patrick's Day. Cool background story on building & how it got its name, story is on the back of the menu. Food is good! Reuben's are really good. Burger with Mac n cheese on it was yummy! Wasn't a fan of the "chili" on the chili cheese fries. Fried pickles were yummy too. We were lucky enough to sit in the "vault room" used to be an old bank! Quieter in there, compared to the bar area that's right outside the front of it. Bathrooms were clean. Service was quick & waitress was very nice & friendly to us & esp our litttles. She made a "green drink" for my daughter's birthday on St. Patrick's day.. sprite with green coloring makes them feel extra cool. lol Definitely worth checking out if in the area! Interesting background story as well, be sure to read it! We would hear again.

We stopped into this place by chance and what a GEM Somehow we were able to be seated in the vault, my three kids were SO EXCITED. They spent their entire time before and following dinner rifling through the deposit boxes where they found a SCAVENGER HUNT left by a lovely employee. The prize was a gold dollar coin and we wrapped up our trip by making a hunt of our own for someone else The food was AWESOME, my kids all enjoyed and finished their food and I had the Safe Cracker Burger with Mac n cuz on top and onion rings- absolute winner. I loved their draft selection and even got to try a local craft I'd never had before. Our group was taken well care of by Ms. Sherry and I just can't say enough good things about this place. Definitely stop into this cute town square.

I was intrigued by the bank turned restaurant decor very nice. I like beets and to try new things so I ordered the "grilled"beets with goddess dressing and their spicy tomato soup with a little cream. Service was ok , I got"You ready to order shoot" . The beet was not grilled at all , pic shows you it looks like they took a beet out the jar and put it on the bun, the bun was very hard around all the edges I tore the edges off to eat it as you can see the green goddess is very little and on the bottom with some diced onions. I gave it 3 stars because the tomato soup was good, spicy and creamy. The waiter never asked how everything was or about all the torn off bread on the plate.

After a shopping and Castle Noel visit, a lunch was in order. PJ Marley's really satisfied. Everything in the downtown Medina has a fun vibe. This building used to be a bank. The flooring, the walls and the big vault in the middle of the seating area. Our server was Julie. She was on top of everything. Very knowledgeable about the building and the food. The food was enjoyed by us all. I really surprised me how much I enjoyed the grilled chicken salad. The artisan lettuce definitely had a different texture that was very filling. The grilled chicken was an excellent addition to the salad. The chili mac was devoured, no leftovers. The longmire was a different mix of toppings. My dad really enjoyed it. His fries weren't as good as he hoped. My mom's beet burger was forgettable. She loves beets, but there wasn't much that stood out about it. Her tomato soup was quality, had a nice kick to it. Overall, a solid little restaurant. Food was filling and pretty good. If I am back in town, I know this will be a solid choice.

The Vault (must be an old bank)

If the walls could only talk!! This was built in 1891 and remained a bank until 2013. In 2014 it opened as P J Marley's!! The ambiance is spectacular. They kept much of the bank feel with the vault and teller windows. Excellent "feel" to the place. Overall we enjoyed our food. My beet sliders were not exactly what I expected. Since I am gluten free and asked for the beet sliders wrapped in lettuce vs the the bun it was basically three slices of beets on lettuce. I thought it was going to be more like a beet burger. Ground up and more patty like. The tomato soup made up for the shortfall on the beet sliders. Had a great kick to it!!

This place is Sooooo cool! My husband and I were on a road trip from Kentucky to New York and decided to stop for some burgers along the way. I used my handy-dandy helping skills and looked up "foodie restaurants" near me. Which happened to be this cute little village of Medina, OH. This place uses it's history of being an old bank to it's advantage. It is a smaller restaurant so I think you would need a reservation for dinner time. We came during lunch and it was busy but thankfully we were seated right away. The waitress was so attentive and bubbly and likeable. She offered her own food and drink suggestions and we're glad we took them. Their burgers were cooked to perfection. Nice and juicy and flavorful. I got the cracked safe which was Soooo good. The mac and cheese could have used some seasoning because it tastes like it is pre-packaged frozen mac and cheese... But the garlic aioli...OMG. Game changer. So flavorful! French fries were great when fresh and I left full and satisfied. If you get a chance, check out the vault room. We peeked our head in when we were leaving, it seems so cool in there! You can actually sit at a table INSIDE an old vault.

Burgers were seasoned really well and cooked good! Best burger I've had in awhile flavor wise for sure! The mac side was ok, my 16month old liked it better than I did. Fries were seasoned well and were tasty-per my husband. Ambiance -It's inside an old bank so seeing the vault was pretty cool and how they renovated around it to make it a unique experience Service - was good

This is my go to burger place. The old bank vault makes for a memorable experience and the staff are friendly.

Ask the Community - P J Marley's

I'm looking for a place near Medina Square that has great Bloody Mary's on Saturday morning. Would love a Bloody Mary bar, if possible! Does Pj Marley's have a good Bloody Mary ?…

Not sure if they do, but Timber Lodge has them, and only $.99 On Sundays! Right down the road a few miles.

Stopped by for lunch on a Saturday. Partner ordered wings…read moreand I opted for the chicken sandwich. Both were very tasty. The huge portion of fries was too much (but delicious nonetheless!) It's worth noting that they share a space with Magic City Brewing and when walking in, it wasn't immediately clear what we were supposed to do. The only bartender on staff wasn't particularly talkative/welcoming in the sense of explaining what was going on or how things worked ...and the Cult Kitchen staff are behind a window past the bar. (I dont necessarily blame CK for the MCB bartender, but they're choosing to share that space and it's part of the experience so it seems like it's relevant.) We sat down at a booth and realized was a small table sign with a QR code for the food and drink menu. Below the codes is a small line of text that explains to go to the Cult Kitchen window for food and go to the bar for drinks. This isn't necessarily a bad setup, just had to adjust our mindset as it's more casual and in line with a food truck experience. ...like going up to the window more ketchup (it's in little lidded containers) for all those fries ...and cleaning up after yourself, as there is no one busing tables. Again, the food was very good but the overall experience was just lacking. It seems like it could be something really special if the hospitality and service was there!

In Akron for business and used Yelp to help find a place for a meal while in town…read more Be aware you will work a little upon arrival though at check out your are still offered the option to tip. Despite the positioning on their website it's not a traditional sit down place. It's an order window and then they bring food to the table. They share space with the Brewing company so a bottle of soda is what you get from the order window but anything else you go over to order at the bar separately. Two of us went for an early dinner. We opted for pretzel app which were tasty and a very big portion resulting in us not finishing them. I would say that app could easily serve 4. Slider special was tasty but considering the heavy portion of fries not everything on my plate was finished and neither was my coworkers meal. Eyes were bigger than our stomach. Place has about 10 (?) tables/booths and then folks sitting around the bar at the brewery side. I imagine on a popular day of the week (we went mid week before the dinner time rush) it could get crowded and loud. Feel of the place is grunge/biker though clean and well kept and without feeling 'theme restaurant'. I would say it has its only unique personality. Had we been more prepared from the restaurant's website for what the place was we might have more enjoyed things. It's just feels more 'out drinking and getting the nibbles' than a destination meal.

The food was surprisingly good seeing that there were only two other people in the restaurant…read more Service was slow and there were two waitresses for three tables. She was polite.,,,just slow. We'll go back again

Nothing super major went wrong, but many little things added up to a not great experience…read more First, the restaurant was colder than we expected, and the bathrooms were absolutely freezing. It was a cold night (20 degrees or so), but I was surprised the restaurant it self was chilly. I'm not usually cold, so it was surprising. Second, I ordered the "Build an Entree" and chose the pork chop and broccolini as my side (it comes with two sides, but I asked for extra broccolini because of my diet). The pork chop comes out covered in this glaze that I find out is a bourbon glaze, but there are onions in it. I cannot eat onions at all (allergy), and nowhere on the menu is it listed that there is a glaze. The broccolini was cooked but was no longer warm. I mentioned these things to our server, and she said that their pork chop has always come with that glaze and it is mentioned on the menu. I asked to see a menu, and the only place the pork chop is mentioned is in this "Build an Entree" section, and no glaze/sauce is listed. The pork also looked slightly undercooked for medium, but maybe that's just me. They cleaned off the glaze and reheated everything, and the food was good. My wife had the salmon and very much enjoyed it. Finally, the check came and everything was priced 4% higher than the menu prices. When I inquired about that, they said it was because of credit card fees, and if we paid in cash, they would remove that fee. I understand the need for credit card fees, but it's not listed anywhere on the menu that they have such a fee, and the fact that it came out with such a fee built in already makes me question whether or not they reduce it unless someone asks specifically. All in all, it just wasn't the quality experience we were hoping for on a date night. I don't think we'll be back any time soon.
