We travel all over the country...in small resort towns/communities like this you get one of two experiences 1) they make you feel welcome, like you live there...and it makes you want to live there! Or 2) You are a tourist and we can't be bothered. Two of the employees, a tall older lady...and a younger gal stood in the middle of the clothing section complaining about how crowded the store was, and how they couldn't wait for the sale to be over. Ummmm what? There were four of us shoppers (didn't know one another) all looking at one another like "They can see us right?" Another gal had questions about some art on the wall, and she could not get anyone to help her. I had 10 items to try on, you can only take 5 in...so while I was trying on the first 5, the sales woman kept apologizing to those waiting saying "she has a lot of stuff, so sorry" Sooo I didn't try on the other five. Bought three of the first 5 and felt very rushed. Bottom line I think the locals and their family/friends keep them busy enough, so no need to worry about the tourists. That's the vibe. The sales team needs to be a little more aware that we are in the store for an experience, not because we have nowhere else to shop.

I love this place because it makes having a child look like this perfect little package of joy. If only parenthood were really as beautiful and fun as this store makes it seem. I did not receive the jacket, the tracking number does not make any route or process.. I called customer service today, and Patricia informed me that she has no idea why I didn't receive it and they are going to call another company, she doesn't know when I will receive it. Yesterday I sent a message that no one answered and evidently Bealls does not care about my loyalty as a customer, nor my membership. My husband received his incomplete gift and the lack of follow-up from Bealls is very frustrating, they have very bad customers services, they didn't cared or apologized to me, I asked them to send me an email as a record, since they collected the money, Patricia dind't do it. These experiences confirm to me once again why Amazon is so successful, they have an outstanding service and they take responsibility for what they sell and how they respond to a request, since we can all have errors and losses, the difference is how we respond to that situation. . Bealls will not be an option the next time I shop. I highly recommend do not use them.

During my checkout he and his sister assured me I got the best flip flops in the store & they are comfortable and extremely durable! My aunt and I visited the Jacksonville Seashells & Souvenirs store, and unfortunately, we felt racially profiled during our visit. We had been in the store for less than five minutes, simply browsing, when an employee approached us and asked if we were finding everything okay. After that, he continued to follow us down the aisles and stared at us in a way that made us feel very uncomfortable. We no longer felt comfortable making a purchase so we decided to leave but as we were leaving the store, the employee stopped us and requested to check our purses. He then threatened to call his manager and the police if we did not comply. What made the situation even more upsetting was that there were several other customers in the store, and none of them were approached, followed, or asked to have their belongings checked. The entire experience was embarrassing, humiliating, and left us feeling singled out. The employee claimed that purse checks are always required, but based on what we observed, that policy did not appear to be applied equally to all customers. Because of this experience, I cannot recommend this store. No customer should feel targeted or accused of wrongdoing simply while shopping!!!
