    Shashuka with poached eggs

My wife and I we were were fortunate enough to try, Swing's first ever brunch and it did not disappoint. We tried the Shashuka with naan bread, sausage, biscuits and gravy, with eggs over easy and roasted potatoes. Potatoes. We even tried their Mimosa flight which was very nice. We had a great server, a beautiful view, and a wonderful Sunday morning. Can't recommend Swing enough, they never disappoint.

What a treat! We started with the local red wine flight - such a great way to experience the region. Then came a crisp, bright Pinot Grigio that totally wowed us. I wasn't expecting much from the bacon-wrapped dates... but WOW - six perfectly roasted bites of sweet and savory heaven! We lucked out with live music - a jazzy guitarist in a bow tie setting the perfect mood. Left him an extra tip just for being awesome. Swing sits in a charming little old house perched on the hill, and the outdoor seating is a dream - the views of Capitol Lake are spectacular, especially at sunset when the golden light hits just right. East-west facing makes it even more magical. This is such a great "get to know each other again" spot - romantic, quiet, relaxed. Locals definitely know the value of this place and I can see why they might want to keep it a secret. Honestly, it wouldn't be out of place on Cape Cod or Martha's Vineyard - it's that good. The filet came with a slightly crunchy edge but was perfectly cooked inside. Loved the meat & cheese board and the butter salad too. Free parking after 5 is a bonus. To the owner and staff - thank you for a lovely evening. If I lived closer, I'd be a regular!

Came down with my lady friends for Hapy Hour and it was so fun. It was a sunny day so like everyone else, we hit the patio. Did we get a pretty view? nope, so I have to judge based on food and ambiace so here goes. I started with the bacon wrapped dates and it was good. Sis tried the heese fondue and it was delicious and had lots of bread so we'll be getting that again. Our friend tried the pizza and it was pizza. Another tried the bruschetta dn it was pretty good. I had the Kobe burger and it was nice and juicy so no complaints there. We all also tried the wine flights and i thought it would be the typical board with a handful of wine glasses ina row, but instead they served their flights in this winding metal apparatus, like we were at an afternoon tea of something. We enjoyed the evening hanging out and it was a fun experience, but I don't know. The food was good but not memorabl, and I'm looking for memorable.

Wonderful place! We sat in the outside seating overlooking the water. The service, food and drinks were excellent!

Smoke gets in your eyes and a seasonal bourbon drink.

A very cozy restaurant with a homey feel. Had a great seat in front of big windows looking out over downtown Olympia and the pond. Would be great to watch the sunset from here during dinner. The patio looks like it would be nice during the summer months. Service was prompt and the wait staff was very friendly. The drinks were pretty good. I would suggest smoke in your eyes for a little tableside fire show. I got the beef ragu and my partner got the shrimp and polenta. The beef ragu was loaded with meat and had a delicious sauce - perfect for soaking up with the baguette. Great spot for a date or have a nice dinner while catching up with old friends.

This is a cute and cozy lounge with an incredible view. I can't believe I didn't know it existed until this weekend! There is both indoor and outdoor seating, but it is pretty small, so reservations are recommended. They have a delicious sounding menu, but we were full from dinner, so we just got the pepper and strawberry sorbet from a local company, and it was quite good. Cocktails were great, and I enjoyed my wine. Service was quick and helpful, and we loved the view at sunset.

I love this location! The view is stunning anytime of year. We were lucky to get such a great table. The waitor was so friendly and the drinks were delicious. I do believe the food couldve used a little more seasoning but besides that everything is splendid!

House Red wine of the day with a gorgeous view of the lake. Well worth the $5. (Plus tip)

This is the S-tier wine bar. Excellent food, gorgeous view, excellent staff. Lovely decor. For a fun change, ask to sit "downstairs" when it's cold and sloppy outside.

Shockingly good bacon wrapped stuffed dates with honey. An order is six but we snatched up the first three immediately.

Unbelievable food and cozy atmosphere. Up top has a great view and downstairs live music so you can't go wrong. We had come with ideas but ended up ordering everything off the specials menu and it was all incredible. The service was attentive - not rushed but well paced to make sure we could get to a show and still enjoy coffee and dessert.

Next best was the bread - it was perfectly soft inside with a crispy crust. Between how oily the dish was and my nose running from the increased spice as I continued eating, I wouldn't return for this dish. The eggs weren't noticeable in appearance or taste- I had to search for them. The "creamy grits" were creamy, but the black pepper taste was STRONG. Definitely ordered the side for the "creamy" factor, hoping when the server said harissa in the eggs would have a mild spice, that the grits would calm my mouth. The amount of pepper made this unsuccessful. But if you like black pepper a lot then you'll enjoy them. My son enjoyed the beignet's. The server was also the host and he was kind. It was easy to get his attention when needed. I didn't see anyone with a grin on their face after taking bites of their food. I looked around quite a bit out of curiosity. So for ambiance, kind and prompt service, and the possibilities of the menu I gave it 4 stars. We only tried the few things I mentioned. I did also appreciate the bottle of water ready on every table. Note that there is no kids menu and it's mostly table seating. So maybe try on your own or with other adults, and leave the kids at home?

Cozy atmosphere. There were 3 employees that night, the woman who initially waited on us actually appeared to roll her eyes when we ordered. She seemed pretty rushed and just didn't want to work that night or something. The bartender was friendly and came for our second round and he actually seemed more welcoming and friendly. The drinks menu is a bit small (compared to other nearby bars). We got 5 drinks, one espresso one which wasn't great and the rest were alright. Nothing that made us go "Oh man, try that!" but they weren't bad either. The food, looks better than normal bar food, which I loved. We ordered "Balls of Gibralter" - North African meatballs, which were *SO GOOD*, so delicious EXCEPT the texture. The flavors were all amazing, but it was as if there was too much egg and not enough breadcrumbs because it gave the impression of being wildly undercooked, even though you could see no pink. If they were firmer, they would've been perfect. They seem to have a rotating grilled cheese special I wouldn't mind checking out next time. The ambiance-lovely. The service - meh The drinks - average The food - has a lot of potential

We started with the patatas bravas, gambas pil pil (butter garlic shrimp), oysters (both raw and cooked), and a hummus platter, and everything was excellent. The true standout, however, was the smoked salmon Alfredo--an absolutely incredible dish and one of the best pastas I've had in a long time. We added some chopped jalapeños for extra heat, but honestly, it was fantastic even on its own. The dessert was equally impressive, with a cake that was incredibly moist and the perfect way to end the meal. The wine selection deserves special mention as well. They offer a great variety of Spanish wines that pair beautifully with the menu. Service was fast, friendly, and attentive throughout our visit. The atmosphere is one of Octapas Café's biggest strengths. The restaurant features a beautiful, spacious dining room, plenty of outdoor seating, and even a private event space for larger gatherings and celebrations.
