I want to love this place because it's close to my house but it misses the mark on a few things. They don't have a fryer. They give you lays chips with your sandwiches. 2/4 of my visits the staff seemed annoyed we were there and ordering stuff. We could see that they were busy and we were very patient. It was weird and off putting. Oh and the parking lot is small and a one way in/out. All that being said, the patio is big, the drinks are cheap and the bathrooms are clean. So depending on what's most important to you, you might like this place! read more

Pints is fantastic! Random find while driving with the dog along I5. Dogs allowed on the patio Staff are great! Plenty of beers on tap as well as a full bar Enjoyed the hummus platter and a Reuben. It's always nice coming to Pints for a cold one after a busy morning. I do love the round bar, it gives a great feeling of community. Plenty of TVs to catch the games, regardless of what sport you want to watch. The pretzels are the size of a steering wheel and delicious. Great selection of beers. I'd probably stop in more for a Mimosa or French 75 if they had something other than Prosecco to make them with. Good Vibes read more

I'm of two minds about this place It's a great location because when I finish walking the dogs at Tumwater Falls, it's fun to stop by to get a nosh and a beer. It's also across the street from Western Meats so you can stop by there afterwards and pick up some steaks or meat pies for dinner. I also like the blue collar ambiance of the day drinkers here. They're definitely locals and they're a nice quiet group just hanging out. When summer rolls around, this place is a lot more fun. The hipsters come out and hang with their dogs in the patio, ordering cheese plates and charcuterie boards and mangoritas. I'm all about that and when the weather is warm, this is a really fun place to hang out. The thing I'm divided about is the food. Everything I've had is mediocre. The charcuterie board is heavy on salt, from the mustard to the sauerkraut so even though the parts are tasty, it also ends up all tasting the same. The sausages we had were also a little too spicy for my taste and the only one I liked had no spice. The cheese plate is nothing of note. I never remember the cheeses I've had here, and I like thinking about cheese. Still, I'm giving this place four stars because when summer comes around, it's a fun place to be. Turn on the string lights in the back when the place gets dark and it's quite lovely. read more

Stopped by Pints Barn today with my mother and my service dog, and we had such a great experience. We ordered the hummus plate and a few beers--both were excellent. The food was incredibly fresh (I literally watched our bartender, Laura, slice the vegetables by hand!). Laura was warm, welcoming, and made us feel right at home. It's not often you find a place with such genuine service and attention to detail. We'll definitely be back next time we're in town. Highly recommend! read more

You have to stand in line at the bar for your drink. Ambiance was busy but everyone was nice. Extra love for the bartender who was half Pete Davidson and half Freddie Mercury. We're from out of town and we were really looking forward to eating here after visiting the park nearby. Unfortunately, we barely made it through the door before we were told we could not eat there. We were in a group of all adults and one 10 year old and without even saying hello the bartender said "it's 21 plus." Mind you it's noon on a Friday at this point. We asked if we would be able to sit outside since we wouldn't be in the bar area and were told no. She did provide us with an additional place to go, but her delivery was not friendly or kind and she said it right in front of everyone including the child with us. Very unpleasant experience for the 45 seconds we were allowed in there. I understand rules are rules (even if they don't seem to make much sense), but it could've been handled much more kindly and professionally. read more

Ordered inside, sat outside to take advantage of nice weather, comfortable and roomy though the ashtray was overflowing and stinky. We stopped at the Pints Barn on our way from Seattle to Long Beach and loved it so much that we made sure to stop again on our way back. This place has an adorable fully closed-in patio with a Sasquatch motif and other goofy art. It also has many sections (great for social distancing) and dogs are allowed! What an awesome place, we so wish we had one like that closer to home. read more

I don't know a lot about the bar and the food, but the people were incredibly friendly and kind. My car broke down and they came out to help, gave me and my dogs water and were just plain friendly. If they are giving that service to a lady who never even bought anything from their restaurant, I imagine they have great service inside the bar too! read more

It seems surprisingly hard to find a bar in Tumwater. The bar food here was so unappetizing and overpriced that we ended up going somewhere else for dinner. The drinks were a little on the pricey side for a low key bar, but it was fine in terms of drinks. Probably wouldn't go back. read more

Great owner! Great staff! The perfect location to meet with friends and indulge in something tasty and feel at home. Nicole the bartender is delightful and kind. The back patio area is great in the summer and comfortable even when temperatures dip low thanks to heating lamps and a little bit of coverage. The 3 stars are a mix. Service is great. Considering on a Seahawk Sunday where the place is packed they have ONE poor girl serving the entire place I give her personally 5 stars. She does a great job, though of course she can't get to everyone quickly because... One of her and dozens of customers... Hello? But she makes the rounds as she can and is super friendly. Major kudos and job well done. We tipped huge for her effort. Note to owners: give her some help on game day! We had a table of 4. Everyone's food was dismal. Seriously terrible choices, cmon already get a fryer please. They offer a very limited menu. A few sandwich types, a couple burgers. Dogs and barely warm chili. The scariest item was a $15 cheese board with "pickled products". Ugh. Are we talking pickled pigs feet? Pickled beets? Pickled eggs? One little pickle from a jar? Nobody dared to order to find out. The nachos come out with a huge pile of chips but they clearly skimp on ingredients when there are tons of customers and they didn't shop the day before. Or they were busy Saturday too and were running low on everything. They had a thin layer on the very top of a few dollops of chili, (cold), a sprinkle of olives, same barely spread sprinkle of cheese. That left zero toppings for the tons of piled up dry chips below. Nearly inedible. Another person at our table got sick all night after having turkey soup and a side salad. Salad had mushy old chopped tomatoes. The lettuce was nice, no brown edges. A few sliced cucumbers and those awful over crunchy seasoned croutons nobody ever eats. The soup was tasty he said but the turkey in it was a little gray in color, he thinks it was old and he got sick. The pretzel and cheese, no, just no. So bad. So zero stars for food. The prices are not great for beer, even during happy hour. They don't discount the wine at all and offer a really really bad selection charging $8 a glass for undrinkable gorge. Their Cab is the worst. I guess this is a beer bar but expect a $50 bill for crappy food and bad drink prices for 2 drinks and inedible food per couple. Watching the Seahawks win a game with a bunch of really fun fans is the only saving grace since their Tvs are placed awkwardly around the room forcing you to sit crooked or at bad high tables to try to crane your neck at dim screens blinded by beer and pub lights. We will go again but not often and won't be getting much food from this menu. We do enjoy the staff service thus the 3 stars. Cause the rest is below a one star review worth. read more

What do you get when you take the classic Red Barn Tavern and re-do it Pints and Quarts style? A little slice of happiness close to home. I wasn't sure what to expect and I was very surprised that they have so much room in such a small space. They gutted it and started from scratch. My favorite detail is all of the big slabs of wood used as tables and side bars. Very comfortable for a native Northwesterner. The crowd is very laid back and a bit older than the other P&Q locations. A great jukebox and oversized communal tables all add to the vibe. They have a decent beer selection and friendly, attentive staff. I had dinner there the other night and it was good and nicely priced. They don't have a grill or deep fryer due to size constraints and the menu is a bit more creative as a result. They also serve some items from the guys across the street, Western Meats. Nice to support a neighbor. The parking lot is a very tight. I'm a fan of parking above and using the stairs for a smoother getaway, and lower risk of door dings. Welcome to Tumwater Pints Barn. We went here last night for St. Patrick's Day. Some of my family have been going to this place for a verrry long time. They have their own mugs! The bartenders are awesome and sweet, and there are lots of draft selections. Also you HAVE to try the food. The sausages are all the rave. I had the nachos, which are covered in red onion, chili, cheese, and served with sour cream, salsa, and jalapenos. Incredible. There are lots of heaters in the outdoor area, as well as real [not electronic] dart boards. read more
