I wasn't in the mood for froyo, and neither was my son. He opted for the soft serve vanilla ice cream. As far as soft serve flavors, there are 3: vanilla, chocolate and cotton candy. For toppings, there is almost every fruit topping, and every sweets/candy plus others including graham crackers, Oreos, candies walnuts, and more. Oh man. This place has steadily declined over the last year. It. Is. Filthy. It honestly looks as though an adult manager has not walked through these doors in ages. And this is based on my last 3 visits since the summer. I come because my 2 youngest enjoy it, and I hate to say that I'm surprised when they don't get sick. Filthy glass. Old old decrepit candy still in its display, caked on stickiness throughout the tiling, bleach spray stains all around. I don't know why I bring my children back. Everything needs to be cleaned. The containers for the toppings all look like they have not bean washed in weeks, every surface is covered in finger prints. Wipe down the seats, give it all a good scrub and maybe I'll feel more comfortable believing that they also clean inside the machines. Won't be back until I see it cleaner . read more

I love swirlz world. Literally the staff is so welcoming and caring. Although some areas are dirty at times, I could see how hard the staff works to keep it clean. Love our late night bowls! Fun atmosphere with bright colors, modern and fun decor with a few tables to sit and enjoy the snack right away. For some it could even be a meal. Whether it's cold or hot out! My favorite are the açaí bowls with the random toppings of the evening. Usually there's some Banana, strawberries, granola, chocolate , and NUTELLA involved. This time I tried the Pitaya bowl which is dragon fruit and also has an immense amount of healthy benefits. I also added pineapple which has bromelain. Everytime I go (maybe once a week) they are always out of something. Whether it's fruits or flavors or bowls.Twice this week I went and they were out of açaí bowls and fruit toppings. How is that even possible the location is next to a supermarket? Really a bummer that this place is going super DOWNHILL, doesn't seem like an adult even runs this place or owns it. I mainly come here because I work nearby and it's the healthiest option in the neighborhood but why waste time even going if they're out of things literally all the time now. It used to be every now and then they'd be out of something but now it's constant. My friend and I took her nephew here yesterday. She lives in Merrick so sometimes when I visit her we opt to go someplace on Merrick Avenue. I was impressed, it's so much better than red mango (although I loved it so much I'm considering returning to red mango today on my break in a half ass attempt to recreate the goodness from this place yesterday). One word of advice if you don't dig kids & teens hanging out definitely stay away from here, even though I enjoyed it the place is most definitely geared to a kid and teen crowd. If you can deal with kids & teens or you stop in and take your fro yo to go than please stop by here it's worth it. The fro yo is self serve style (like red mango) and they have at least ten different flavors available. When we walked in a staff member greeted us almost right away and nicely offered us samples of anything we might like. Basically you pick which size cup you'd like, add the amount and flavors of fro yo you want, and add some toppings from the toppings bar. Once your personalized creation is finished you bring it to the cashier and the price you pay is dependent upon the weight of your order. They also have a rewards card which I signed up for. It's free, you just have to give your name and phone number to the staff. Every time you go you swipe your card and you get reward points. Once you get 10,000 points $10 is added to your card and you rack up points quickly. After just swiping my card for my order and some candy my friend bought I already had 1041 points. I got a combination of chocolate ice cream, chocolate pretzel fro you and peanut butter fro yo. For toppings I added mini peanut butter cups, reese's pieces, hot fudge and peanut butter sauce. It was delish, the chocolate pretzel fro yo was still good but didn't taste exactly like chocolate pretzels. One reviewer mentioned the place was dirty but when we were there it was pretty clean. As I finished up my yogurt I told my friend Janell that I could get fat here! Thankfully I don't live in Merrick and thankfully right now I am lacking a car because I could go there every day if I didn't have to worry about the train schedule. The ice cream is good a bit pricey, but it is low in calorie, and they let you taste. For my boyfriend and I it is $8.00 a visit. A couple of nights ago I went to the store and the guy behind the counter gave me 4 tastes. (it was a bit much, but they did not have the flavor I liked) Well, the owner called up and had him on camera, and got him in trouble for giving more tastes than he should. I felt so bad for the young boy behind the counter because what he was doing was gaining a repeat customer. Now, I will never go back to the store again if it is owned by owners who do not support their customer's and employees. It is kid friendly in a kid friendly neighborhood with plenty of space and unique design. There's candy machines and other things I ignore, but the kids don't. For those of you upset by the presence of so many kids, move out of Merrick. In addition to the tasty variety of fro-yo flavors, they have soft serve vanilla and chocolate. I took a pound of that vanilla ice cream, loaded it up with a half a pound of oreos, dumped about 8oz of hot fudge on top and felt like a champ. This is, by far, the best yogurt around! I love the flavors they offer - with Tahitian Vanilla being my favorite, and it has no added sugar!!!
